There was a room with a four-poster bed and a desk, and by all that controlled the worlds, she would find it again tonight. And not fall asleep. Or get knocked unconscious. ----- S2 makes sense to me with that unique clue, but any exploration is still good so we can have better confirmation.

Araris Valerian he/him Posted September 21, 2024 Author Posted September 21, 2024 (edited) Of all the rooms in the sprawling labyrinth that made up the House on the Hill, the chapel seemed the only one that wasn't filled with a sense of wrongness. Kanem wandered into it, and the tension that had been building up in him over the last couple of days suddenly vanished, replaced with an overwhelming weariness. He slumped into a seat, content to sit in silence, nothing but the sounds of his own breath and heartbeat filling the room. The longer Kanem sat, the louder his heartbeat seemed to be. Except... the sound wasn't coming from him, but from the walls. Something in Kanem screamed to get up, to move, to do anything, but he was too tired. His eyes slipped closed, and suddenly both heartbeats ceased. Kanem @Kasimir was an Innocent Explorer with Lerasium and Metals! Day 3 has begun, and will end at 11 PM Eastern Time on Sunday September 22nd. With this playercount, barring a successful protect, the game would end when two players are alive. This is a good opportunity for RP, some PM networking (alliances anyone? especially since two people can win...), and wonderful scheming that is an SE classic. Lego ----- Leander brushed soot off the hems of her pants as she returned to the common area downstairs. An explosion! And no one heard? Impossible. And infuriating. She'd finally found the room again. The room that held so much promise for answers about the mysterious house, and it had been blown up. Completely incinerated. So much for investigating. She was about to give up, but rallied herself again. This wasn't over. There were other places to explore, new things to discover, and plenty of people around her that were clearly up to something. Especially with another body down. The house might only let one - perhaps two - of them out alive. It was time to find out what everyone else had planned. "What tricks has the house played on all of you?"
Aeternum Posted September 22, 2024 Posted September 22, 2024 (edited) I went looking and found my WiM for this game. Unfortunately, it was lying dead on the ground next to Kanem. I'll try my best to revive it, but things aren't looking good. ----- My clue I got from exploring was almost getting shot, lol. That should mean I've gotten both the unique clue for S2, and the S1/S2 clue. Hence why I'm fairly certain it's S2. Don't remember what everyone else got, so if someone can confirm any other clues for this scenario, lmk, I think Elandera did off of the RP text. Someone should probably check what Coffee's clues were, or whoever the Aviar was (I think it was Coffee, without looking). The world I want to talk about is S1, which feels fairly unlikely. I'm sure if you compare who got abilities thingys and where everyone explored, it's pointing away from this world. Sighs. In S1, it is mylo today, 4 v 2. I'd be voting in Lego/Silvereye today in this world, probs. I'd have to go find my reads first. ----- In S2, which seems more likely, there are 6 of us, 2 can win. I assume someone has the gun, and tomorrow it should be 4 players. Vote + shot means game over. Admittedly, I'm not good at whatever skills are needed for S2 style of game. Shrugs. Good luck have fun, first person to reach out to me can direct my vote. ----- S3 world, which I don't remember how likely this is at this point, and I don't have the energy to sort that out right now. Between your gunshot, my explosion, and the clues from D1, I'm pretty confident we're in S2. Especially since Kas's death lines up with what he told me about his plan in PMs. EDIT: S1 Clues: 3 - spike(S3) explosion(S2), gunshot(S2) S2 Clues: 4 - rithmatic defense (unique), explosion(S1), gunshot(S1), voidlight gemstone(S3) S3 Clues: 2 - spike(S1), voidlight gemstone(S2) So it's definitely impossible that we're in S1. Aven was pretty sure he knew what was going on. The House was making his fellow explorers murder each other, and perhaps even killing those that wouldn't go along. Well, he hadn't signed up to kill his friends. This whole situation had gone out of control the moment they'd stepped though those doors, and nobody had figured out any kind of reasonable plan. Well, Aven was going to change that. When Leader and that nameless fellow started for him, Aven bolted into the basement. For half a minute, he could hear running footsteps behind him, and then something in the House shifted, and suddenly he was alone. Aven had escaped, proved that killing wasn't the only option. He spoke aloud, "I will not serve the House. I will not attack my friends." As he spoke the words, a door at the end of the hallway Aven stood in opened up, and he walked toward it, drawn forawrd by some unseen compulsion. But when he stepped through the door, Aven's eyes widened in horror. A voice spoke in reply, directly to his mind, accompanied by the beating of some massive heart. "Very well. Your sacrifice is accepted." Blackness. Aven @Aeternum was an Innocent Explorer (and I checked and he didn't have a role)! Night 3 has begun and will end at 11 PM on Monday, September 23rd. The house itself was the culprit here. As much as she wanted to work with the survivors so far, it was clear that was no longer an option. The house wanted blood. But she did not want to fight alone. All of the clues yesterday were the gunshot/explosion, which signals to S2/S1, but we can rule out S1 because of Coffee's clue being S2/S3 (he had the Aviar, which is almost guaranteed to be correct).

Half of their number had fallen, and it seemed as if the outlook for the others were bleak. Still, a couple of those remaining explored the House with purpose, intent on finding a weapon, a way out, or anything, really, to give a sense of control back. Kirc, however, was not interested in exploring any more. He'd seen the kitchen, he'd seen the larder, and he'd scrounged every inch of the basement. Nowhere in the entire forsaken building was there a single drop of liquor to be found. So what was the point? He'd die sober, painfully aware of every moment before the end. He curled into a ball on the foyer's floor and waited. Kirc woke to a loud noise, followed by an unbearable pain. His eyes flashed open, and he glimpsed the face of his attacker. For just a moment, he thought he saw surprise in their eyes. Then everything was over. When the others returned to the foyer around dawn, Kirc's body still lay on the floor. The corpse had a shriveled look, as if it had been dried in the sun for days, despite that not being the case. The four remaining "companions" turned to face each other, preparing their words for the day. Kirc @Lord Spirit was an Innocent Explorer (also no role)!
