No, he’s mainly just trying to be dramatic. He is, however, planning on making an alliance with a new tribute purely to kill them for the bonus spending credit later.

Jaksyn looks around, and brandishes his axe. He wants to yell for Tondon, but knows it’s a bad idea.

Tondon sees him, but stays back. He Pulls a metal object other than the axe, and lessens his storing, so that people can see him if he’s pointed out, but won’t pay attention to him otherwise. He puts a finger to his lips, puts a hand to his neck, makes an X, points at Astra, does a thumbs up, then beckons you over.

“Yeah, seems like it. She’s a Willshaper, whatever that means, and she made me this.” He gestures to the shield made of pink crystals on his arm. “It’s pretty durable, I think. Anyway, she said something about setting us free and creating a central alliance. I’ve got a duraluminmind now, so I’ve been observing as she talks to that guy,” he points at Mark, “apparently they know each other, but I’m waiting to pull my knife at him if it goes wrong. I can do that from over here now, though, cause of how ironlines work. Apparently it’s something about Connection. There was somebody who asked me about it before I got here, told me I should join. You’re right, Jaksyn is sounding like Tondon there. I took parts of my personality and amplified them to make his, so I don’t ask quite that many questions, but I do sometimes get pretty talkative without noticing. Such as now, actually. I didn’t really need to add my character creation process. I do think it works well, though. You can try it if you’re stuck when writing a character.

Honestly, if Tondon was more viscous he could probably win. Just walk up to someone, tap lots of Connection to make them trust you, then backstab them and store Connection to get away. Or just continuously store and stab everyone from behind.

Roy asked all this while fidgeting with a few spores that he brought in with him. They were from the crimson pile that he had to run from in the rain. He watched as the rain turned the spores into weapons and he had an idea for how to get revenge on those who forced him into the arena.

Dougella looks at it. "I haven't either" she whispers, thinking of the mushrooms that surrounded her home. A few tears leak in the corner of her eyes, but she shakes her head, the tears freezing as they fly off. She turns back to Sharp "Do you want to try it?"

he can get her to do anything, especially if he dares her, as she will want to impress him, and will do any dares  because she is so competitive. Also it is kind of sad she gets her first friend at 18, i think she is.
