As Jain was lead towards the crude gallows he struggled and fought.

“I’m a Doctor damnation you, a Doctor.  I save lives not take them.”

As they tightened the noose around his neck, Jain glanced over to his stuffed panda.  A slanted grin was plastered on its face and it almost seemed like a red glow was coming from its eyes.

Night 3 has begun and will last 24 hours.
Jain was lynched.  He was the
Doctor refugee

Those in the Hallway are: Kelsey Skirl (killersquirrel59) and Ash (Ashiok)

Vote Tally:
Jain (2) Damon Shan,  Kenna
Damon Shan (1) Spark O’toole
Friend (1) Aidan Forsyth
Kelsey Skirl (1) Jain
Stanley (1) Milton

Not quite.  They never retracted their first votes so the ones for Kelsey didn't count.

Crap. I completely forgot to retract my last vote while I was hurrying to change things last minute. Well, at least we know Jain was telling the truth now. Hey, Joe/Wilson/Mail, you can use Ash to pass along messages. Walkie-talkie guy too, if one of you has the Walkie-talkies.*

I'm in the hallway for two reasons, one of which requires I be protected tonight, but not roleblocked, and the other is to be a human radio. Everybody, please PM me so I can pass on messages. You can throw on little verification codes if you'd like, m'kay? I'll pass on all messages if need be. For future cycles, we should probably encode them, but this will do for now.

Can we get an extension on the cycle please? And maybe some communication? We need to find the BBs, and we won't do that by staying silent

Well, one thing I am a bit confused about is why you would need to be in the hallway to use your role. As far as I can tell, the only actions that you can carry out are to either search the hallway or to use an item or something on Kelsey, which you could do from safely put away inside some other room. The problem that I see with your plan is that there isn't much point in communicating during the night when we can be much more open during the day. The only info that we have now to work with that we didn't during the day is the result of the lynch, and anything we do now will be without the info from the BB kill tonight. That's just my opinion, but I don't really think that it is worth leaving anybody in the hallway on purpose as of right now.

Can we get an extension on the cycle please?

Done.  The cycle will end in just under 30 hours from the time of this post.

Thank you, GM almighty.

@Araris: Night cycles offer the chance for a different type of discussion, which doesn't involve throwing votes around. Also, you're saying two different things at once and it's really confusing.

@everybody else: THIS IS PART OF THE GAME!!! USE IT! Discuss! I've been talking to WIlson and Aonar. We've fleshed some things out. What have y'all done?

Posted

Actually there is a reason for Ashiok being in the hall. But it's a Secret to everyone.

As for what I've done, I've planned, analyzed, and had conversations.

Posted

Problem is, nobody has done anything overt. We need full group discussions now. Best way to find BBs. When we're secretive like this, one of us may think somebody's vetted, but the rest of the group might know they're not. You know what I mean?

Ash knew Death was close.  He had felt it slowly tightening its noose around his neck.  Ash didn't care about his own life, after all he had died something like nine times already this month.  What he did care about was helping his new friends.

It had taken him a while but finally Ash was in a position to help.  All he needed was one more day and he would be able to find those pesky Barons.  He was sure of it.  Unfortunately he didn't have one more day.  He didn't even have one more hour.  It wasn't Deaths noose he had felt but rather the wire that had been stealthily slipped around his throat.  One quick pull and Ash was dead yet again.  A final thought passing fleetingly through his head.  ‘I hope I wake up somewhere nicer this time.’
------------------

Damon Shan slipped back into the Barracks, his deed done and none the wiser.  Worldhopping was fun for awhile but after arriving on this strange world, Damon finally felt like he was home.

Sliding back into his blankets, Damon closed his eyes in the hope of catching a few more hours sleep before everyone rose and started yelling at each other again.

In the morning however Damon Shan didn't rise with the others.  A gunshot wound to the head had seen to that.

------------------

With the deaths during the night it took some time but eventually the survivors discovered that the door leading to the Mess Hall had disappeared.

Day 4 has started and will last 48 hours.

Ash was a
Sniper refugee with Clean Gym Clothes.
Damon Shan was a
Neutralizer Barrow Baron with a Depleted Power Cell and a Full Bottle of Whiskey.

The Mess Hall has been removed from the game.

Ash is dead, that wasn't supposed to happen. Now then, Room assignments for tonight.

Armoury: Mailliw, The Only Joe, Wilson.

Barracks: Gamma fiend, Theorymaker, Araris.

I'm leaving Killer squirrel off the list, since he doesn't care, and I'm letting Aonar decide based on who's getting lynched today.

Yes! We got one! We were actually really close that first day or two to lynching Jasnah.

Um, shouldn't we switch those rooms? We were all in the armory last night.

Posted

Aidan whistled tunelessly, walking about in the main room. Hmm... What to do, what to do... Some new things had been confirmed. Some others had been thrown into question. It was all well and good that a Baron had finally been caught, but it wasn't much of a reprieve. Well if I want to get things going, who has acted in the most suspicious manner? O'tool over there seemed pretty worried when Ash alluded to what he was doing in the halls... And he hasn't exactly done anything to alleviate suspicion over the last few days. But he did vote for Damon... when Damon wasn't in any danger. And it's not as if the vote stuck.

He stopped and spun around slowly, searching for O'tool. "Hey, Sparky! Anything to say about what's been going on?"

I think the greatest reason I had for being suspicious of Ash was that Ash was being suspicious. There was a plot going on that had a select number of people involved of which I was not one, so I felt a bit uncomfortable about that. I think I get what Ash was doing now, but originally I thought she might be in the hall to kill Kelsey or something. Anyway, why couldn't the plan be shared with the group if the baron kill happened after Ash's action, when sharing could have led to better protection of Ash.

As far as the room arrangements, how about we switch me to someplace else since the room on the bottom keeps getting blown up, which makes "Sparky" a bit tense. I don't have a solid suspicion right now, but the main thing I've been thinking about was how the lynch of Jain went about happening.

Posted

Jain's lynch happened because I went to a friend's house that night to watch Divergent. In her basement. That happened shortly after I voted for Jain. I knew there was a chance we were going to switch targets to Kelsey (Jain had told Aonar and Joe he was the doctor, but we weren't sure we believed him), so I spent 15-20 minutes checking my phone to see if I had an email notification. My phone showed I was connected to the internet, so I'd thought I'd still be getting notifications (I didn't get online because the room was dark and I was surrounded by people. I've never been a fan of people who mess around on phones during movies and I wasn't going to become one of those myself unless I knew I needed to). It wasn't until 4 minutes after the rollover, when I realized I still hadn't gotten the new thread email that I knew what had happened. I got online, saw all the PMs I'd missed and the action in the thread, and I facepalmed. Many times.

Of course, that's only a part of why Jain got lynched. There were also those who forgot to retract their first votes so their votes on Kelsey didn't count. Like you, Araris.

Posted (edited)

Yeah, but I was more talking about how after he got one vote right at the start 2 other people jumped on him right away. Also, the writeup shows me voting for Jasnah, which is a bit odd because I put my vote on Jain and then switched (or so I thought) to Kelsey. Perhaps Kelsey is a Smoothtalker or something. Anyway, I'm gonna vote for Gamma since he was involved in that and he's been laying low for a while.

Edit: Greened Gamma

You voted for Jasnah. It was the 8th vote that day. It was after Joe voted for Jain and before Jasnah voted for Jain. Right here. It just never got retracted. Apparently because you forgot you even placed it. :/

Posted

Yeah, apparently. I looked through the list of events and didn't see that, but I guess I just skimmed over it. Does anyone else have an opinion as to whether or not we should arrange the rooms differently from what Joe proposed? Unfortunately, due to the hallway working out as it has, Raid's master plan hasn't really done us any good so far, although if we had a doctor then most likely nobody would have died last night. Does anyone know how exactly Ash knew that Jasnah was a Baron? Because it seems clear to me that she understood what she was doing had a decent chance to end in her own death.

Posted

I proposed that we switch the rooms from what Joe has So that it is like this:

Barracks: Mailliw, The Only Joe, Wilson.

Armoury: Gamma fiend, Theorymaker, Araris.

That way it's different from last night's plan.

Stanley, I voted for you before solely to call you out, but now I think you're a prime target for a Baron to be hiding. Semi-inactivity would be perfect for a Baron. As of now, you haven't garnered much suspicion and have been active enough not to get lynched and also inactive enough to be ignored and forgotten. I do think we have one of the experienced, vocal players as the third Baron, but for now, it's easier if we can isolate them.

Posted

Sorry, been semi inactive lately, and haven't been able to work up much time to be able to get on and post. It does seem like a shame that there was basically no discussion at all during the Night Cycle. But I can't really complain too much about it, since I didn't post either. >.< But while it is nice to have things worked out and make plans in PMs, which seems to be happening in this game quite a bit, I also would like to advise caution, since there's no actual verification of alignment roles in this game, it's very hard to find anybody to be 100% trustworthy. So the Barons will go whatever means necessary to gain trust in those PMs.

Also, as for switching up the plans, I don't think that we should. The whole point of Raid's plan on why it worked was because it just went down the player list, assigning rooms out to be as even as possible. That way, nobody gets preference or bias in what rooms they get. So I think we should keep as closely to that as possible.

Also, Araris, I voted for Jain initially, but saw the jump of other votes on him, and retracted mine.

Posted

Well Milton I suspect you also. I still think Joe's idea of the SK being seeked makes sense though I'm probably the only one who cares about it still. Also I've been inactive because I have a lot of homework.
