So I've got an awesome plan To catch this evil killer man I'll stuff him in a boiling pot And when he's done I'll have him shot! :D So, I've been listening and grooving to Edgedancer's "Outer Science" song. I thought it was awesome and cheerful! Then... I actually watched the video. 0.o WHY, WHY, WHY? I can only hope my precious "Nyan Nyan" song has no disturbing origin... 1
Edgedancer he/him Posted October 31, 2014 Posted October 31, 2014 :D So, I've been listening and grooving to Edgedancer's "Outer Science" song. I thought it was awesome and cheerful! Then... I actually watched the video. 0.o WHY, WHY, WHY? I can only hope my precious "Nyan Nyan" song has no disturbing origin... I was wondering why no one commented on that. Although, the hints were there, with me propsing it as a theme song for one of Calamity´s interpretations and connecting it to Voidgaze´s corruption. Now, do you think it fits? Only if you consider a flying rainbow cat disturbing.

Only if you consider a flying rainbow cat disturbing. I was going to comment, but when I tried to listen to the thing, my computer decided its version of Flash needed updating. So I tried to update, but then my computer was all "No, I'm not going to let you update," and now I have to go to work, so boo. Boo to you, Adobe Flash. Also, I don't know if I'll write the rest of "Kidnap the Lightywards." You know that part where Lock, Shock and Barrel are arguing about the best way to kidnap Santa? Well, I realized that it would be Funtimes arguing with Nathan, which was fine until I realized that these two lines "I don't want bloodshed—" "You're no fun!" would almost certainly be a part of their argument. So, yeah, it would get pretty dark. 1
Kobold King he/him Posted October 31, 2014 Posted October 31, 2014 Now, do you think it fits? It could definitely fit, from what I understood of it. Which just makes it all the more horrifying. It could definitely fit, from what I understood of it. Which just makes it all the more horrifying. Now you know what´s going on with Voidgaze and her corruption, at least with my headcanon version of Calamity, treamble and despair.
Mailliw73 he/him Posted October 31, 2014 Posted October 31, 2014 Ah, yes. You know I was kind of hoping for a more epic set-up for Vondra's first POV than "Mr. Mayor, Runes and Abners want to talk to you." I'm not quite sure how to make the post anything less than a anti-climax... Is there any reasonable way I can start the post with Vondra jumping out of a helicopter? Good point. Well, let me know when you come up with something. I'm not in a hurry. OK, here's a quickly drawn up biography for the Epic known as Sharkbait. Pre-Calamity Information David Manō was a Hawaiian surfer and fisherman before Calamity, living on one of the smaller islands. As his surname suggests, he had some traditional Hawaiian heritage in his family history. Though all things considered, David was more in touch with his westerner heritage than with his indigenous side. You really like the idea of controlling other things, don't you? Brother Sharkbait is agreeable. I have no Idea when they met. I haven't fleshed out his backstory yet. Anyway, my Gordon post! that went a completely different way that I was expecting when I started writing it. As i was writing, I reread all of Remington's prior Posts, and noticed that there was no possible way for him to know they were at the Graveyard. So my paranoia got the best of me. I liked it. Max noticed too, he just has a different approach and sees a kindred spirit in Remington and is innately trusting him. Kobold did you want to do another post in the museum or meet up with the MEE traitor next? This MEE traitor is really piquing my curiosity now. I want to know who. The Tidebreaker's crew is shaping up nicely. They are pretty powerful. If you guys want to make the Swabber a real thing, I'm happy to do that.
Jo and the Bush all/any Posted October 31, 2014 Posted October 31, 2014 Sure. Why not. Swabber is now a Minor Member of the Crew. Blackwave is pretty fair in that Sharkbait had to work to get his position, He didn't get it by simply being Epic. There are several Vanilla's who outrank the majority of the Epics on the Crew.
Kobold King he/him Posted October 31, 2014 Posted October 31, 2014 (edited) You really like the idea of controlling other things, don't you? How dare you accuse me of such a personality flaw! Jo and the Bush all/any Posted October 31, 2014 Posted October 31, 2014 Did you ever decide whether the Tidebreaker crew will be appearing in Oregon? That would be a bit OP. I wish they could. Speaking of OP, I just thought of a Use for Murphy's Power. If CorpseMaker were to tell him to target any plans the Enemy had for dealing With himself, then Murphy's Power would detect project Amber, and Give Murphy the Idea of having CorpseMaker carry around a deadman's switch, attached to a bomb. If he went 24 hours without pressing a button on it, it would blow up. Thus preventing him from being trapped permanently. When I made Murphy, he was intended to have a minor power. But the more I think about it, he might be the Most OP character in this RP. 2

Is this going to be on What Happened in <ISLANDNAME> or in Oregon? That's interesting. Not many Epics would do that. How dare you accuse me of such a personality flaw! Imperio! Did you ever decide whether the Tidebreaker crew will be appearing in Oregon? Lightwards and Sharkbait. Plus, you stole Chi's attribute sapping power! (I'm just kidding, it's cool and different enough.) 1
Jo and the Bush all/any Posted October 31, 2014 Posted October 31, 2014 Cool! Is this going to be on What Happened in <ISLANDNAME> or in Oregon? This was more an Exercise in Creativity. If he's needed for some reason, then sure. Or i might just use him in a Fan-Fic.

But the more I think about it, he might be the Most OP character in this RP. In the vaguely planned "What Happened in Astoria," Edgedancer would be RPing as four intensely powerful High Epic despots + Nighthound. We've discussed making the Astoria thread a setting more welcome for a higher power level. That is a good use for Murphy's power. And personally, I love him both as a character and as an interesting example of bizarre Epic powers. Lightwards and Sharkbait. Plus, you stole Chi's attribute sapping power! (I'm just kidding, it's cool and different enough.) Oh yeah. I guess I'm just fond of that general idea, being a farmer who puts up with obnoxious and disobedient animals. Anyone heard of Megalodon? It was a tremendous, whale-eating shark that used to terrorize the earth's oceans. It's a good thing Sharkbait would never get the chance to control one of these monsters, eh? He'd have to meet up with some theoretical Epic who can bring extinct species back to life, which of course is completely implausible. 3

But the more I think about it, he might be the Most OP character in this RP. You know, with Astoria we have a location in planning that´s made for a pretty high power scale. (hint hint nudge nudge) Not sure if a bomb would work, it would have been small enough to carry around, which means Lucentia could probably put him into a big enough prision. There´s always the option to down-scale his power, if you think it´s to strong for example making it so he can´t affect concepts such as planns. Not that you have to. (Although, a part of me is happy that someone shares my opinion that a couple of the "minor" Epics have pretty devasting powers.)
Jo and the Bush all/any Posted October 31, 2014 Posted October 31, 2014 So Blackwave would be welcome to Attack Astoria? STORMS YEAH! Alright then. Anybody else have an Epic they'd like to join his Crew? Cause apparently there's going to be a Cannon Appearance. 2

He'd have to meet up with some theoretical Epic who can bring extinct species back to life, which of course is completely implausible. It's almost like the different area threads are different intensity levels, like they have for theme park roller coasters. Portland: Medium-high intensity. Powerful Epics, though none approaching Steelheart's level, roam the city and attempt to carve out territory. Evil necromancer's, Knight Templar illusionists, human Basilisks, and matter manipulators with something close to a split personality are welcome. The Dalles: Medium intensity. Epics here are essentially in rehab, though flashbacks to a certain Deathless Epic may be disturbing. Beware crime rings and knights in shining armor. Astoria: High intensity. Four High Epic despots and a living trollface rule this town. Abandon hope, all ye who enter here. Yeah. Good thing we don't have any Epics who raised living dinosaurs from skeletons, right? 2

Because if not the Tidebreaker might have a minor geography problem. Yeah. Good thing we don't have any Epics who raised living dinosaurs from skeletons, right? Ugh. That would break all my suspension of disbelief. 1

Because if not the Tidebreaker might have a minor geography problem. Ugh. That would break all my suspension of disbelief. It's coastland. You know, with all these High Epics, I might just add a vanilla to my characters in addition to The Financier. Maybe a quiet serving girl who has gotten real tired of Lucentia's crap. I know, right? 1

And thus begins the sweet romance of Nathan and Natalie, the servers who just want to go home. Really, I think if Sharkbait ever got his own Megalodon from such an absurd scenario, the thread would have officially jumped the shark. 3
Jo and the Bush all/any Posted October 31, 2014 Posted October 31, 2014 Speaking of Places in Oregon, are we ever going to visit BattleGround?
Mailliw73 he/him Posted October 31, 2014 Posted October 31, 2014 Speaking of Places in Oregon, are we ever going to visit BattleGround? Not sure what this is, but it sounds cool...
