Isht breaking the cycle because zhe Baron does vat he vants!

Kobold two questions:

1: What will Vondra's immediate reaction be when he finds out about the command post? Will he go on the war-path, or will he refortify?

2: I think Glamour would get along famously with Prankster. Could they run into each other some time soon? I was thinking either before or after he checks out the outpost. (side note: he has great taste in music.)

1. He'll refortify... and then go on the war path, cracking down on crime through the city and trying to flush out Quicksilver. He won't be very happy with this.

2. This could definitely work. :)

Just a side note though, Glamour's more of an NPC. Anyone can write him, provided he stays roughly consistent from post to post.

He's basically an excuse for everyone to work their favorite songs into the RP. :P

I know where you got Corpsemaker's line about a little bit of trust. Nice reference.  ;)

But you didn't cath the 14 other refrences? (I Counted them. That's the third MaximI've used. And all the military folk are named after main characters.)

And I just noticed that my top 5 Oregon Posts Are ones where I beat up somebody else's Character. Any Volunteers?

Zhe nexsht Mad Balloo...

cough, cough! Ahem, the next Mad Ballooner post is up, along with Fade replying to Nathan.

Edgedancer said Nighthound could die, Fade is ready to make that happen. Permanently. Edge, I'd like to pm you about possible battle scenarios. Even though he's a jerk, I feel like Nighthound deserves a memorable final battle. I want Nighthound's last moments to be,

Epic  B) .

Go ahead an pm me then. It would just advise you to bring a good plan, because if you don´t making Nighthound angry isn´t exactly the best plan to protect Sandman.

Edit: Also, if Fade has to worry about close combat injuries, how exactly does his turn into mist stick work?

Autumn's first post is up. Note: She knows it's Newcago now, but insists on calling it by its old name as a sort of mental and verbal middle finger to Steelheart.

I love her already. :D

And her insistence on calling Newcago by its old name reminds me a bit of one of our more statuesque Epics.

...

I know what you're thinking, TwiLyght. ChicagoGlass does not need to be a ship. :P

Thanks! :D

But….but it has such an awesome ship name! And I can't be the only one who can totally picture him in her office, taking a swig of whiskey while she says, "It's all right, I understand. Reader makes me want to get drunk, too." :P

They'd certainly have a better relationship than Autumn Glass + any other Epic. :P

Take 1

Autumn: Autumn Glass, not an Epic.

Lightwards: Excellent, you'll make an wonderful Warrior.

* kills and zombifies *

Take 2

Autumn: Autumn Glass, not an Epic.

Nighthound: I like a woman who expresses her weaknesses around me...

* is creepy *

Take 3

Autumn: Autumn Glass, not a--

CorpseMaker: * death stare *

Take 4

Autumn: Autumn Glass, not an Epic.

Aldo the Enigmatic: Nice to me you, my good woman! I've been looking for a new stage assistant for tonight, and I think you'll do quite nicely. Cricket, do you know where I left my saw?

Take 5

Autumn: Autumn Glass, not an Epic.

Chicago Joe: * drinks whiskey *

Autumn: You know, I'm beginning to think you have the right idea of things, Joe.

Nighthound + absolutely anyone = NO NO NO NO NO NO NO

But yeah, that's how those relationships would end work out. :P

He doesn't turn into mist, he ceases to exist. You can't bleed to death if there's no blood to lose. So physical damage isn't really an issue for him, he's thinking about others who may be assisting him. He's also planning for Sandman to have a key role in this which will require him to touch Nighthound.

Edit: I'm so tired I didn't even realize the first line rhymed. ugh, not looking forward to class today.

If you really want to have Lightwards echo Koschei, you could have him recruit Reader.

"Oh, hello Professor Cardinal. Had any more Quickslide nightmares? Been keeping in touch with Möbius here lately?"

Somehow I can't envision Reader surviving their initial confrontation for very long. :P

Yeah, he'd live just long enough to ask if Funtimes had outgrown her tar phase. :P

Actually I like the name Autumn Joe better. ;)

Actually it might go more like this:

Nighthound: "Hello Autumn Glass, not a person."

He doesn't turn into mist, he ceases to exist. You can't bleed to death if there's no blood to lose. So physical damage isn't really an issue for him, he's thinking about others who may be assisting him. He's also planning for Sandman to have a key role in this which will require him to touch Nighthound.

Oh, got it.

...Is this actually a thing that's going to happen? Since if so, I'll need to shop around for Lightwards' new Dragon.

As with shipping and pretty much everything else, it´s just talk until someone manages to convince me that it will work and we´ll see how hard a sell this is.

On the upside, the Dragon market will probably have a couple of new offers, given that this oughts to bring Lucentia over her Godzilla Threshold, Maybe it´s not that good an idea afterall.

Funny enough, Reader is the only person I want to meet Nighthound, the one person he can beat up without me feeling bad about it. :P

He turned to go, but stopped mid-step.

"A dachshund zat has been drinkinnk? Zat is a terrible analogy! I must sink of a new von."

He pulled out a pencil and a small notebook from inside his jacket and began muttering to himself and writing.

"Let's see, like an aero-plane made of concrete, like an ostrich vith it's head in a euphonium , like..."

I want to see David Charleston taking on the Mad Ballooner in a massive analogy duel. It'd be like two velociraptors sword-fighting; awesome yet not making any sense at all!

I just realized that Funtimes is better at making sure her recruits are trustworthy than Lightwards. It speeks volumes about the man. <_<

Shame on you Kobold, that analogy was perfect. What you should have used is something like two pages of a poesy album having a rap battle.

Funtimes' method: "Tell me who you are and why I don't know you or you'll learn why nobody wants to get eaten by a teapot!"

Lightwards' method: "Hm, you have a pulse, a cape, and a nice Snidely Whiplash mustache. You're hired!"

The bus doesn't explode. Once the fuel runs out, it will shrink back down into a rock, and trust me you do not want to be inside the bus when that happens.

What are you talking about? That makes total sense, if you sink about it cosmically.

It makes perfect rational sense in the Empire. Velociraptor sword fights happen every other Wednesday and are great fun for all involved.

In the Empire!

(In the Empire...)

Honestly, I don't see why anyone would willingly work for Altermind or CM when gladiatorial velociraptor fights are available. :P

Well they have the benefit of not having Nighthound :P

Yes, but CM has Quota...so it's kind of a wash?

If Nighthound, Quota, and Reader ever formed an alliance, everyone else in the Fractured States would destroy Oregon just to smite the abomination from the face of the earth.
