The day of the games has arrived. The tributes, all wearing thin brown jumpsuits, are lowered from an airship onto their platforms. They're standing in a grassy field, in a circle surrounding the gleaming cornucopia, which is filled with packs and weapons. A boiling wind blows from the south...then abruptly is forced back by an icy wind from the north. There are mountains to the north, covered in snow. There's another mountain to the south, completely black stone. To the west, there are trees with leaves of every color, mostly vibrant reds and oranges. To the east are more fields, some hills. All in all, it's stunning.

In the GMHQ, Aby sits on the edge of her seat, eyes wide. This is why I'm here, she reminds herself. These are the people who killed my family. They deserve to die. Oh, I'd like to taste their blood... she shakes her head. She's been having more and more strange thoughts like this, recently...she smiles at Madame Ahna.

Rosalind stands to the right of Madam Ahna, a step behind. She has her hands folded in front of her and her head lowered respectively. A silver collar is wrapped around her neck and has a light buzz to it. She looks to the side slightly, not moving her head to peer at Aby for a moment before turning back.

Eike pressed a couple buttons on a tablet, sending out a few assassination orders, before tucking it away and looking up, resting a hand on a dagger at his side. He smiled, glancing over at Aby and winking, loving the way she shuddered, looking away.

And then a voice started counting down. "Ten." Aby shivers. Eike grins wickedly.

In the arena, the tributes hear the booming voice. "Nine." It won't be long now...one way or another, the scales are about to tip. Capital blood will be spilt.

"Eight."

"Seven."

"Six."

"Five."

The arena is getting windier. It isn't warm, isn't neutral. It's bizarre. One moment, the wind is hot as fire, and the next the tributes are shivering at the cold.

"Four."

"Three." They can barely hear the voice over the wind.

"Two..."

"One."

There's a deafening gong, and the games begin.

The cornucopia has a large pile of items, ranging in all uses. There are some packs and weapons, some antidotes for illnesses in another language, food and rations in small amounts, and small quantities of water. It’s overflowing with necessities.

A voice whispers. “Don’t get greedy, boy.” It’s a familiar voice to some. Maybe not others.

You head to the west across the center of the arena. The center of the arena is a grassy field containing the cornucopia. As you get closer to the forest the grass changes, leaves start falling, the air starts cooling. Not far ahead you @Argenti goes in the same direction.

As you run from the cornucopia you head into a strange territory, everything changing the farther you go. When you hit the forest a low fog starts to collect as orange and yellow leaves float from the nearly bare trees.

Aaron dashes towards the cornucopia, searching for an axe and grabbing a small pack and a water bottle on the way.

As he grabs the water bottle it’s yanked back into the overflowing pile, a black gooey like substance pulling it back. A low hiss. “Greedy greedy little boy.” You see a slight movement within the pile, a substance moving through it. It’s voice is somewhat recognizable if some would recognize it from…somewhere.

Bob was human today, a small blessing. His thoughts were important, today especially. Humans were made for this kind of stuff.

Bob freezes slightly, looking at the cornucopia, scanning it for a gun. The only weapon I know how to use.

Aaron turned and ran the other way, out into some hills.

Jane Cora Rae sprints and grabs the nearest pack to her.

She scurries around trying to find throwing knives, moving closer to the forest as she does so.

She picks up an antidote and a few rations of food, but some of the food drops as she runs around, stressed to hold what she can.

There wasn’t one, but there was a hole in the pile.

Something grabs her by her foot. “Don’t be greedy!” Her ankle turns slightly black as if bruised as a gooey oozing almost tentacle reaches out of the pile and pulls her closer.

She screams then covers her mouth.

She struggles away, clawing at the black tentacle.

Her ankle shoots out in pain, but she uses the dagger to try and cut at the gooey oozing substance pulling her. As she does so, her knife accidentally slips into her skin, and a small gash spills blood on the arena. Still, she uses the force she has to try and pull herself away.

Kialk walked toward the cornucopia. He was disturbed by the changing weather. He hesitantly looked for a bow and arrows.

Overcoming his initial fright, he walks slowly back towards the cornucopia. He sees a girl getting attacked by something. Warily, he drops his pack and dashes forward, making sure to stay out of any other tributes ways. He grabbed the nearest weapon and hacked at the tentacle along side the girl.

Del sees someone else running into the forest. She doesn't want to get attacked, but it would probably be safer to have someone she could work with. she starts walking towards him slowly, but as she gets close to him, she forgot what she was doing. @Argenti

It cuts, squirming a little before shriveling. The rest of it sinks back into the pile. Suddenly the pile moves, a giant creature starting to come out. You see a multicolored glow from its eyes, the Roman numeral 5 in place of its pupil. Stuff falls off of it. It looks angry.

There was a bow and 15 arrows by the pile, you watch a giant creature rise out of the pile and send it flying a few feet away from it. Its attention is currently on @Weaver of Lights and @Lotus Blossom

It cuts and the end of it shrivels. It looks directly at him. It hisses. (See my reply to @Lotus Blossom for more details)

He can run either east, west, north, or south. East and west have people already in their areas.

You head into a cold area, the temperature dropping and snow starting to fall. Mountains lie ahead and ice. A frozen lake near by. (Sorry, I can give a better description. I’m in class. If you wait a bit I can write one out)

Ice layers under the snow, the snow thickening and wet. It soaks into your clothes, up to your mid shins. There are some logs and a small path, the click of metal sounds and lantern light lights up the mountain with its little fire light. Hooves clop through the snow up ahead as well, you can hear the swish of a tail and clack of reigns.

The snow falls fast, thickening. You can’t see 40 feet ahead, it layers your eye lashes and over your hair, sticking like gum.

Fields of flowers and rolling hills, a chilly swift breeze and a sunny sky. Clouds layering the sky like a painting crafted by the finest artist. Holes scatter the ground now and then, going deep into the dry earth beneath you, nearly hidden by the tall grass and swaying weeds.
