He grinned back at her, the excitement of the moment getting to him. It had been a long time since he’d had a battle like this, in fact, the last time had been… He cleared his mind, he didn’t need to think about that.

“I’m really happy it helped, though it would have been useless without you! And yeah, we probably need to tell someone, and figure out who that kid was. Hopefully he’s safe.” He looked at her cheek, inspecting her burn. “I wish you hadn’t been hurt.”

He turned and saw the boy from before. “Who are you?” @The Clarinetist

"I am Harold. Who are you?" Harold asked, out of breath. "Glad to see you are alive."

“That doesn’t matter right now, why are you back here, are there more monsters?”

Jenny held up the mandible.

”Any more giant acid ants? Acid beetles, maybe?”

That was good. Jenny had learned that she really didn’t enjoy fighting acid monsters. She stuck out her hand for a handshake, briefly becoming distracted by the burns on her arm.

”I’m Jenny. Nice to meet you!”

“And what were you going to do?” Edgar asked, sounding a little angry. “You would have just gotten yourself killed.” He calmed himself. “Sorry, I just don’t want another… anyway, I’m Edgar. How did this monster get your scent, how long has it been chasing you?”

"Hello Edgar. I was running from a giant dog, passed a certain point in the woods, and the dog was stopped by some force field. Then I saw the giant ant. It was already inside the force field."

“Huh, I thought we’d eliminated most of the dangerous monsters from camp. It’s a good thing you got through the barrier. I guess you’re new, there’s some things you need to learn. We need to take you to Chiron.” He winced, his burns stinging.

Oh boy. That was very, very bad. Monsters were not supposed to make it past the barrier.

”Where did you see the ant?”

Myrmekes, are natural to the forest, it is in some of the books, there is impressive loot in the caves that they have (Magical loot!!)

The Creek

Aaron, swung his hands around, calling up plants from all around him to try and tangle the other half-bloods that were trying to cross and grab their flag. He grew them beyond natural heights and strengths, blending them together in the moment.

Grabbing some of the sweet smelling flowers from nearby, he grows them large, making them drop many spores. "Please be sleeping spores, Please" he waits seeing for any reaction from his struggling captives, straining and cutting at their bonds. Some more successful than others.

The flower droops droppin the spores onto the kids. Be breathes in excitedly. They stay awake "Dang it" he yells. Stomping around, calling up more vines, when he notices that the eyes are rolled back into their heads.

He sniffs the spores experimentally feeling lightheaded, and giddy. Natural Happy Gas, cool. He grabs onto one of the plants nearby, forming it into a chair for him to sit on.

Now time to wait for more people, he thinks to himself.

Ah, ok, thanks for letting me know. In that case, please disregard my most recent post.

Edit: Never mind, I’m just gonna replace it with a new one so that it makes sense.

A wolf walked out of the woods looked Rob in the eye, barked once and ran off, Rob turned to the others and said “okay other than the group that just attacked us a group of 15 demigods are crossing the creek half a mile to the right and there's ten demigods guarding the flag which is on zeus’s fist, anything else you want my wolves to look for?”

"just for any traps that might be in our way. do you want to go and interfere with the demigods or level them to Aaron?"

Jenny nearly winced in sympathy at Edgar’s pained reaction. Hopefully acid hadn’t gotten into any of his cuts.

“We also need to get Edgar’s wounds looked at.”

She glanced at her arms again. They didn’t look too terribly great. As a child of Hades, Jenny was naturally more durable and resistant to pain than most other demigods, so she wasn’t too bothered by it. But she was only 75% sure that white area wasn’t bone.

”I suppose my injuries need medical attention, too.”

I’m essentially having Jenny’s abilities be like a nerfed version of what Nico has, so y’all please let me know if they seem too powerful.

Truly seeing how severe his and Jenny’s wounds were for the first time, Edgar grew pale. “Here, I have some emergency ambrosia.” He pulled out a small piece of food that looked somewhat like a brownie. He split it in half and gave one chunk to Jenny. “I’m so sorry you got hurt.” He liked down for  a moment.

Before eating his own ambrosia, he looked at the new kid, Harold. “Are you injured?” @The Clarinetist

Jenny thanked Edgar, then ate her ambrosia slowly, careful to avoid eating it too quickly. She didn't want to make herself feel sick. It tasted like pomegranate. After watching her skin slowly knit back together, the flesh un-withering, she turned to Harold.

"I'm glad you didn't get hurt. We should probably start heading back to camp."

She looked at their completely undefended flag.

"I hope the rest of the team won't be too angry about this."

“Good.” He ate his ambrosia, enjoying its flavor, one of rich chocolate.

Jenny was used to being hated too, and would be able to handle it fine. Still, she was sad that she would miss out on the opportunity to make more friends. Aaron had seemed nice. She started to walk towards where Chiron would be, her customary smile having faded a bit.

Edgar saw her face fall, and felt terrible. Why did I say that? I’m an idiot.

“By sick, she means it can literally make you burn up in flames. So be careful with it.”

Jenny stopped. She shot a glance at Edgar.

"I think Chiron can explain this all to you best."

She had no idea what to say that wouldn't just completely overwhelm the kid.

“Yeah, Chiron will do better than we could.” He didn’t meet Jenny’s eyes, stop feeling bad for what he had said.
