Hello fellows of the Shard!

My names Crow but I don’t mind many things to be called. Jay, Simon, it doesn’t matter much to me.
I’m something of a new fan of Sanderson and I’m enjoying many of the books he’s written like Yumi and Rithmatist. I use He/they/she pronouns and I’m excited to see where everything goes. I’m from Texas and you will hear about the wackiness of living here. I also paint and write. Currently I have many projects in the works but I love them all!
I hope you and I can be friends! :]

Welcome to the Shard. Be sure to let us know what else you have read (Rithmatist and Yumi already mentioned) either here or in your profile, so that if you have questions we can avoid appropriate spoilers.

Obligatory post cause I already met you! Here’s a more official welcome (if the Shard even has such a thing)

Hello friend!

Which Brandon Sanderson works have you read? And which one has your favorite magic in it?

Oooo! I’ve read so far:

The Rithmatist

Yumi and the Nightmare painter

Tress of the Emerald sea

(tried and failed reading Elantris at first)

I just came out of a long reading slump so I haven’t fully gotten into the longer books. Safe to say I’m addicted already to the writing style.
I simply adored the magic in Rithmatist with all the different lines and meanings for them. It’s so fascinating the process of how a Rithmatist becomes a Rithmatist. There’s so much we don’t know yet about that world but I can’t wait for when he finally finds someone to help write the second book.

You and me both-

he’ll release it in like thirty years or something.

Hellooo~! Has reading any of his stories inspired any paintings for yourself!? I always love seeing what people get inspired to do after things they read.

I am also a newer fan as well, so we have that in common!
