And I am very happy, but it has led to some interesting moment. Here are my favorite Mom “does it have to this long, it just feels a little self indulgent.” Me trying not to lose it when I learned she was skipping Shallan chapters because she didn’t like them boring And then here are some of the text messages she has sent me Does anyone else of good story’s? I actually liked Shallan’s chapters more than Kaladin or Dalinar’s. But the interludes were actually my favorite part, giving insight on other parts of Roshar, and Szeth was my favorite of the main PoV characters. 1

People, if you want to create another thread to air your opinion on Shallan, make your own thread, don't take over this one since this one as it has already hit over 50% posts solely about Shallan. I emphasize this based on the moderator LadyLameness closing down a thread solely about people discussing Shallan's likeability. Please read the post including the encouragement to make your own threads on the topic of Shallan's likeability and the justification for closing the thread. 2

Don't sweat it, Shallan just really gets people going some times, particularly on the Shard. It just takes watching it blow up a few times to know that Shallan needs special handling. I figured if people wanted to have the chat about Shallan then they might as well read a very well reasoned discussion as well. Since that thread's already closed I figure I'm not even risking necro'ing it. I don't have too much to add to the rest of the thread, most of my friends have already read SA. I did get one of them to agree to read Warbreaker and Tress, but she’s reading something else right now so I’m waiting for her to finish that. And I’ll likely get Warbreaker for Christmas, which will help me pressure her into reading it sooner. After that, I’ll try to get her to join the Shard. I think she’d fit in here. 1
