Insa didn't look up. "You still should say something if the pain gets worse."

She slowly scrolled through the results on her tablet.

"I'm not seeing anything in direct reference to the temple. But its referenced several times in relation to other temples, as in built around the same time or by the same group of people."

"Is there anything about a location?"

“The ones who built the temple. Stole the Ivus.”

"Yes, I know. But what do we know about them?"

“It’s a small clan I guess. No one is quite sure where they came from or why they do what they do. They’re most often referred to as the Aclijan’s. They steal items from divine being and hide them in temples they build. Most temples have a patron god who watches them but no one is sure who that patron god is. The temples these people build are often on small, out of the way planets and the Yulin temple is that way. It’s built on a small planet called Toral. It’s mostly a desert planet.”

"The temple is somewhere in the desert, but no one like us has found it yet. Divine beings have been sent to find it but nothing seems to have come from them. We know it exists because its referenced and depicted in carvings in paintings on some of the other temples."

"We should be prepared for anything, then."

Insa nodded. "There's a chance that if we manage to find or get in contact with Bookwyrm or we were able to get the right resources we could further analyze those depictions and get some further information but there could be nothing else to get from them."

???

As far as Bookwyrm could tell, the grassland extended for miles in every direction. If there were any other structures such as the stone pedestal he'd woken up on, he hadn't found any.

He couldn't tell if he was on a planet or some untethered dimension. The sun had only very slightly moved in the sky, but that didn't necessarily indicate either scenario.

Strangely, he couldn't access other dimensions from where he was, which was...inconvenient.

"Any ideas?"

I'm as limited as you are, here.

Bookwyrm nodded. "Just let me know if you find anything."

...How am I going to get out of here?

"Do you think you have a good shot at reaching him?"

“Well” she trailed off. “I’ve tried. But I have no idea where he went or what he’s doing and nothing I’ve tried seems to have reached him.”

Bookwyrm continued to walk. For hours. No sign of life beyond the endless grass.

This isn't good.

Astwyr suddenly spoke in his mind.

I found something.

"What?"

I'm...not completely sure. But there's a source of power. Far to your left. Head there.

"Finally. Something interesting."

After a few more minutes of walking, a mysterious structure appeared on the horizon.

I can try.

As Bookwyrm gets closer details on the building start to become startling clear.

The building was large and gray with tiers building up all the way to a flat top. The stones were old and weathered with intricate designs carved into it.

The area surrounding the building was an elaborate garden with brightly colored flowers and plants.

Mysterious Temple

Finally...something besides grass.

Bookwyrm cautiously approached the temple, wary of the silence surrounding him. When nothing happened, he started climbing the steps to the top.

Veer hovers in the air, metal creeping up his face and down his arm. Crying out from the mental effort, he gets the debris above him, then releases. In another explosion, the planks, stones, and bars blast away from him, destroying more ceiling. Then, he drops from the sky, bouncing around in an effort to slow himself with his power. He crashes to the ground in front of the cells, his leg at an odd angle. He groans. @SpiritOfWrath

The closer Bookwyrm got to the top the more obvious the silence became.

Who are you and why are you here?

"I hope so too."

Lerac flinched at someone unseen. "Do you think we can know exactly how dangerous this will be before we decide whether to take Saar's offer?"

I think TAAron and Haly should probably get Insa to help them soon

"Well I think I could look a little further into the Aclijan's. Look for things like what gods they worship, how technologically advanced they are, what the temples often look like, and what sorts of things other temples have had. That could possibly give us an idea."

What help do they need?

The two are brawling to the death and do not notice. Timothy murders Charlie.

Wait… was Charlie the nice one?

Veer lays on the floor, groaning. Using his right arm, he pushes himself slightly upright. “We can bring him back to life, you know,” he guesses. “I will open that door, and you will bring me to the med wing. If you don’t, I’ll see what happens if I touch you with this.” He limply lifts his left arm in the air, showing the gray metal that had crept down it.

Nope!

Tim nodded. He obeyed.
