"Yay! This is going to be fun!"

Ari turned her attention back to the meeting, it was probably about important stuff.

Atikskrakkaitak watched and listened to the Elf, dumbfounded. She was brave. Or possibly drunk. Or a cat. But he had to ask.

"Is system Altark-gorna-reaak within this sector?"

It kinda comes down to if you want to have them fight other Skkraaakiskakkkraitk. If yes, system is within. Otherwise, no.

Okay then. :D

"Well, that is... unfortunate." The system in which he was born was here, then. The home planet of his species was outside, but his system would have to participate in the war. And yet... the Dragon had said that forty-niner of the systems were expected to be subjugated. And he was sure he had heard about collectives of species before that joined the empire.

We need to talk. He Thoughtspoke to Ghost, Paprika, and Amaranthine.

As soon as the meeting is ended, we should meet at my shuttle. Come as soon as you can.

With that final bit of Thoughtspeak, Atikskrakkaitak strode out of the room, leaving the Dragons and the chaos behind.

"The hell do you think you're dealing with?"

"You can't just order us to go to war with each other!"

"Go ahead and take those proclamations and shove them up your - "

Akalatax and his assistants stood. "There is little else for us to say to you. We will provide you as well as every qualifying world with an Empire-forged Inter-Planetary Communication Tablet, with which you will confirm your registration - as well as to receive announcements and information regarding various events in the upcoming war.

"With that, I'm afraid, we must take our leave."

"So this," Paprika summarized, "is bad."

Character:

Spoiler

Name: Prefers to be called Uen (like Yen, but spicy), but his full name is Terhieghenne Cody

Species: Human

Age: Yes.

Appearance: Modern. He wears very casual t-shirts and sweats most of the time. He probably feels a little out of place and out of time. Think Aes Sedai for how old he appears, though he does have a pinpointable age, it just shifts from day to day.

Various Personality Bits: Scifi nerd. I will say no more.

Skills/Magic/Such: Time weirdness. Uen can manipulate time with Spacebending. His ability is powerful but inconsistent. He has a tendency to get pushed out of the time stream, getting frozen or even all out disappearing mid sentence (if I don't respond in a day or so, assume he has done this). When he disappears, for some reason, he tends to reappear in the midst of the plot. He also ages oddly, appearing mixed on all days, but distinctly changing from day to day.

Position: He appeared in the middle of the plot, and nobody can figure out how to get rid of him. Also he was a scientist/lab rat at some point, but eh. Anyone who knew him died when he jumped forward half a century.

When Terhieghenne awoke, it was... disorienting. He was out of place, and, he knew from past experience, out of time. He walked up to the nearest person. "What is going on?"

Just before Atikskrakkaitak made his exit, the dragons finished and began to leave.

Of course it is bad. It will also be dangerous. He stiffened as he sensed a warp of the Energy nearby. Not just any energy but time shaping. I have to go now, if the dragons find what I just sensed we could be in BIG trouble.

Changing course, he headed towards the anomaly, eventually catching glimpse of a confused looking human.

"You are right, we totally could 'ave taken them and now they are gone."

Ari felt a little disappointed, she had hoped the council would put up more of fight than just yelling.

Atikskrakkaitak sighed. "Alfakyn, you are overestimating your capabilities. Even if everyone in the room was well equipped and prepared, the Dragons would have won any fight."

His eyes focused on the three entities standing before him, the Wraith, Elf, and Human.

"I have access to a decent amount of knowledge about most of the species with this sector, and any fight and subjugation will not be pretty. There is, however, another option. A coalition of species/races working together would be far more powerful than any other option."

"Don't be so 'ard on yourself Paprika, you can do anything you set your mind too!"

Atikskrakkaitak nodded at Paprika's statement.

"I thought so. I can function as a representative of my race, as soon as I put through some paperwork to the heads of my system. Presumably, as diplomats, Ghost and Amaranthine are certified to function as representatives of their races."

We did not expect it to escalate this quickly. I do not know how our leaders will react to this.

Where do we want to take this? I haven't a clue.

"The United Worlds - humanity, I mean..." Paprika sat down. "I think we're going to start by looking for allies, but I don't think they'll be for fighting the dragons. Because we're only the most recent addition to these 'advanced' races, it means we're technically the least powerful... which means we're going to have to ally with as many people as we can to stand a chance in this war."

I believe the Wraiths will be eager to ally with a more militaristic race; we are primarily scientific and have not given much thought to weapons technology.

Uen, caught up now, listened intently. "I realize I was not invited here, but from my point of view, I think our best chance may be from the utilization of the magic.

"Just think, with just a small grasp of Spacebending, I was able to transcend time, arriving at a place decades in the future, completely unchanged. Think of what we could do with the other two forms. Who will want us as allies if we bring so little to the table?"

He stepped back a smidgen. "At least, that's my opinion. I could be wrong, you are all likely more experienced in these matters."
