What brings you here?

I am the emissary from the wraiths. I was hoping you could point me towards some of the others.

"Ah, yes. The meeting." Paprika thumbed over her shoulder. "The doors open in... ten minutes, I think."

Are you an emissary as well?

"Yeah. There's Amaranthine here, and uh... some other people, probably."

That is good. I’m glad that I came to the right place.

"It is nice to meet you all!" Arah said. She was starting to get excited. So many new friends in one day! and the special guests hadn't even arrived yet!

The Dragonship was vaguely spherical in shape, but large enough that up close it would appear to be nothing of the sort. The massive array of infrastructure and metal lattices only grew more intricate and complex as the ship approached.

It was massive. Six landing arms extended from the sides of the sphere, each one far taller than the United Worlds edifice. One struck down into the field outside the building, the rest striking into various parks and empty lots across the city. The shadow cast across for miles, setting off street lights and automobile headlamps.

The bottom hatch retracted with a hiss. Floodlights flashed on to illuminate the slender form of the reptilians.

Paprika watched with... almost horror at this point. At first she'd been worried that the dragons would be mountain-sized, or at least large enough to justify such a gigantic starship. The forms were large, yes, but a different realization struck her - this wasn't any regular starship. It was a palace.

The platform struck against ground with another hiss, three dragons - one with glittering golden scales adorned with gemstones, and the other two covered only in pure white - stood majestically on the surface of the Earth.

"Greetings, earthlings," said the golden dragon. "I am Akalatax. It is time now to discuss the fate of your world."

Atikskrakkaitak had followed the others, the emissary of the Wraiths, the emissary of the Elves, and the Human security. No one had questioned him, and he stood near them as the ship descended. Even with the readings, this dwarfed his expectations. And though he hated to admit it, it was a masterpiece of technology. And if they only needed one spaceshaper to move this monumental craft, then the Dragons were almost impossibly strong.

A platform with three dragons, one golden and adorned with gems, the other two in white with astounding patterns in Ultraviolet, descended from the belly of the ship.

"Greetings, earthlings," said the golden dragon. "I am Akalatax. It is time now to discuss the fate of your world."

This solemn pronouncement was met with a moment of silence, which the Elf broke.

Hallo!!!!" Amaranthine said, waving energetically. Atikskrakkaitak resisted the urge to hit his brow in exasperation. He glanced at the Wraith called Ghost and carefully reached out with Waveshaping, creating a direct Thoughtspeak link.

"What do you think of them? Why do they care so much about the Humans?"

Ah, so you have learned Thoughtspeak as well. As for why they care so much about humanity, I cannot be certain, but I suspect that it may be because of the fast technological development they have exhibited.

Yes, but the Dragons still seem to be investing more in the Humans than any of the other races present. The Skkraaakiskakkkraitk got just one that essentially had them sign some paperwork.

It is not that hard, it is just Waveshaping. I spent over a century becoming proficient in the Magic. And that is certainly food for thought. The Dragons seem to focus more on their Magic than technological advancements, but they somehow always seem to be at the peak of both.

Well, how were you thinking of doing it? This is a legitimate question. It's your Rp, and you have ultimate say on everything.

What a marvel of engineering! How did they manage such complex framework across the whole structure? Ghost thought.

I hate to say it, but they are impressive. There ship is bigger than most domed cities. Do you have any idea what the "Culling war" is? I found record of the Dragons most recent missive to the humans, and it mentioned that.

"I think they're nice!" Ari said to Paprika, "Sometimes first impressions are not so good."
