Voidgaze scooted closer to Al, enjoying the warmth of his arm draped across her shoulder. She took another bite of McMuffin, smiling. "You know," she told him, "it'd be fun if we added one of those apple pies." Al frowned. "I can't make those, Voidy," he said. Was she mistaken, or was his frown deeper than it should have been? "I could. It was just an idea." Something scratched at the window, causing Al to leap to his feet and Voidgaze to turn and look. A man stood there, a cocky grin on his face and a steaming McDonald's Apple Pie in his hand. "Pie Guy," Al muttered. Is it because triangles are my favorite shape? "It's not you, dear," Mobius said. "I promise." "And what is that worth?" Lucentia said bitterly. "The promise of Mobius." "It's worth a pocket universe," she warned. "Pocket universe? Pfft." The comment was accompanied by a shower of glitter, falling from the newcomer's hair. "Who wants a universe filled with nothing but pockets?" Lucentia's eyes widened, and she turned on her heel. I mean, I like them, but I'm not obsessed with them or anything…. "I counted on you." Lightwards' voice was brittle, his words clipped. "I depended on you, Traveler. I trusted you to be reasonable." "I thought I was being reasonable." "Reasonable?" Lightwards turned on him, his face a mask of hurt and betrayal. "You tell me you want to 'try' a 'date' with this Phoenix character, and you have the nerve to call it reason?" Traveler was silent, his lips set in a firm, grim line. Finally, he said five words. Five words that cut Lightwards to the core. "You don't have a beard." Nope. No love triangles here. 4

The professor from hell stood before him with a pleading look in his eyes, a magnificent beard jutting from his chin. Nathan could hardly speak from the tears of emotion. "Lightwards, I..." "No need to talk," the bearded necromancer said softly. They stared into each others eyes. Nighthound returned with his dinosaur, but even he could tell it was a lost cause to earn back the Traveler's love. Truly, they belonged together. 3
Mailliw73 he/him Posted August 15, 2014 Posted August 15, 2014 You got my approval, Mailliw, altough I wonder if we should go in on a one vs. one basis and leave Flashpoint to keep watch or take him with us. What do you mean one on one? Like each of us will roam the store and each find one? Flashpoint I was debating too. He's pretty mucht the only one besides Psy-Fi that AM trusts to leave on charge, but he's also very useful. I think we'll leave him though.

My understanding is that the Empire is located in the southeast of the city, growing to encompass the area CM's old territory once lay.

Lightwards was going to spend the rest of the day organizing the Museum, but if he heard any reports about a a nearby Epic brawl he'd definitely go to investigate it. A meet up could be really fun--Lightwards and Altermind could have a really interesting dynamic, seeing as they're both intellectual Epics who see their actions as a "greater good" sort of thing.

I imagine Thoughttown and the Empire could agree to a shaky truce while they eliminate less rational Epics like CorpseMaker.

If you want the "glitter abomination" involved in diplomacy, I can keep her around. If you'd rather let the "big kids" handle this, any ideas for getting her out of the way?
