Trusk'our
I had no idea this forum was here until just yesterday! So, I've made some drawings in my spare time (which I think are OK, though not amazing or anything) and I thought that I might share them with you guys to see what you think Here's a Steel Inquisitor I tried to draw. Spoiler The sword design was inspired by BenMcsweeny's Koloss sword for the Mistborn RPG. Actually drew this one and the next three a while ago, but the ones after that are pretty recent (he loves to tap pewter) Here's a few of him wielding the sword. Hey, even Steel Inquisitors need to read a good book too Annnnnd, this is what I imagined a Steel Inquisitor tapping pewter would look like. Wouldn't want to face one, that's for sure. This one is also of him tapping pewter, but also wielding his sword. Feruchemical pewter seems like it would make it very difficult to maneuver with all that bulk.

alder24
That's not Steel Inquisitor, that's Pewter Inquisitor! The hooded one looks cute But why does he have a short version of Oathbringer?
Stick The Savant
Love how he makes a sword look like a glorified steak knife!

Lol , it's a Koloss sword that he's fond of. Probably ditches it when he has to fight those pesky Mistborn though; can't have anybody Steelpushing your weapon around! 1 hour ago, Stick The Savant said: Love how he makes a sword look like a glorified steak knife! Trusk'our
Here's a new one I came up with when I asked myself, "what if a Kandra decided to go against the First Contract and live more in alignment with Ruin's Intent? What would it look like?" This is what I came up with: Spoiler The Kandra has a manufactured skeleton, probably made of steel. I also imagined that they wouldn't mind using Hemalurgy to further boost their power, making them into a truly terrifying opponent; 4-8 tons of raw muscle with human-levels of intelligence and Allomantic/Feruchemical powers to boot. And yes, that is a Steel Inquisitor (who stands at 6' 4") next to the Kandra for height reference. I tried to show some of the skeleton, but I'm not as good yet with human anatomy as I'd like, plus I figured the Kandra would only partially show their skeletal structure to freak out others (also, it isn't' really a human skeleton, so that helped me cover for my inexperience ) Edited April 3 by Trusk'our
Ookla the Starship Ranger
That is impressively creepy.

Trusk'our
Sorry, I don't want to double post but if I don't then this thread won't recognize that I'm putting new material down (and then people won't see it). Do you think that's alright? anyway, it's been a while, but I've got a few new drawings that I'd like to post Also, I got a better camera to take the pictures of my drawings, so they're a bit better I think. Spoiler This one I did awhile back. It's of Marsh duking it out with Dilaf the Dakhor Monk. Originally, I was going to have Dilaf actually stabbing Marsh in the side with his knife, but I felt that was a bit too graphic This one is of a character I was thinking up of for a Mistborn setting, possibly era 3. He's an Archivist who works for the Elendel government as a spy, gathering information on whatever they need. He's also a talented shot and uses his Copperminds to bring battle tactics to mind whenever he needs it. I tried shading out more here, as well as drawing the Mists as a background. I think his hands and feet are a little small though; I'll have to fix that in any future drawings. This final drawing is of another character I made up for Mistborn. He's a Hemalurgist named. . . something- don't really know what (I'm not good with names). I don't imagine him as being evil though- he doesn't make Hemalurgic spikes casually, and either gets a willing donor, takes spikes from other Hemalurgists trying to kill him, or he uses himself as the donor and heals the lost Spiritweb back with F-gold (which is a strategy he really hates). And yes, this one I did sort of make after the idea of my 17th Shard persona. I couldn't help myself

He's holding up one of his spikes- most of them are pretty small so as to be quick and safe to swap out when needed. I tried out some more subtle shading on this one. Maybe I'll start putting in backgrounds as well. . . or, at least I would if I could ever come up with what should be there. Maybe I just forgot, but I don't remember if I've seen a WOB about that. From what I remember in HoA, yes, they should be able to by distinguishing the metals in the ink from that of the page it's written on. I believe that Marsh even mentions that he can distinguish colors if he chooses to (when spiking the Smoker nobleman). They cannot, however, read a digital cellphone screen; Quote https://wob.coppermind.net/events/509/#e15968 Hunter of the Rain Could Steel Inquisitors read phone screens? Brandon Sanderson Oh boy. Phone screens are made out of... there's like a liquid almost, liquid crystal. So could you read a phone screen... or are they just asking cause it's metal? No they're saying there's this blank screen, and it's just changing pixel's colors, so would an Inquisitor not be able to see that because it's going to be indistinguishable according to their steel sight, I think that's what they're getting at. I don't know if the question is "Is the phone going to glow too much because there is too much metal in it" or is it "Because the pixels don't really register to steel sight". I'm gonna say phones are a good way to hide things from an Inquisitor. Yeah, an Inquisitor's not gonna enjoy the move to all digital formats probably.

Trusk'our
Here's one more I drew of the Good Hemalurgist. Spoiler I tried to make this one with a little more detail than the last few. EDIT: and a few more. Spoiler Here's one I did of him where I experimented for the first time with light and dark. He's using an old Inquisitor's notebook combined with Set experiment notes and his own writings/musings. Here's a very zoomed in photo of a Hemalurgic spike I drew. They're typically depicted as being perfectly smooth cylinders, but I thought some roughness would add some texture. There's some polish to the head of the spike as well.
