Um…here boom everyone’s magically packed let’s go make a plot!

“This seems like too much,” Rayvyn said, eyeing her pack suspiciously. “Are we all ready to leave?”

The main city is where we'll touch down. It has multiple tiers with glowing red monorail tracks connecting them. At the top of the city, there's a giant portal that will let us enter, built for this specific purpose. The portal tier, which also has a giant arena and a temple, is the only tier where you can see the open sky.

"So what's the deal, chum?" Fadran asked as he approached through the trans-universal doorway.

Icona, as per the usual, communicated via telepathy to reply. We got two signals at right around the same time. First Kris sent one about a hole in the Macrosmos right after Pyro disappeared -

"He does tend to do that."

But then we got one just a few hours ago from the FSC... they said Ayia went missing. Out of nowhere. Just vanished.

That happened less often. "Are they connected?"

Quite possibly. Notably, the signature from the hole Kris detected was very similar to the one Pyro emitted before vanishing, which leads me to believe that there's an actual anomaly happening there. However, we didn't get any reading from when Ayia vanished - she was too far out of range.

Fadran ran his hands through his hair, as he often did when thoughts needed some actual dang thinking. "Get the Core back here, for starters - as soon as possible."

Can't. They're in quite the pickle, I hear.

He was not entirely sure what a pickle was. "Alright, then. Open a direct line to Kris for now."

On it.

Not that random multiversal shenanigans were at all rare in this line of work, but to have several at roughly the same time for such closely-related people was... a little strange. Granted, that was pretty much the recipe for the Fellowship in the first place, but with how little they knew (or could ever know) about the Macrosmos, it was imperative that every anomaly was investigated thoroughly.

Rayvyn blinked slowly. “Those words do not make sense. Is this thing good or is it not?”

“Okay!” Rayvyn said. “Let us do this research! What is research? Can I eat it?”

Rayvyn eyed him suspiciously. “Do you not wish to know if this thing is good or bad?”

okie uh aaanyway idk I'm bored ok

"Ow."

Becky took off her red baseball cap and rubbed her head, looking up at the hole in the ceiling she'd fallen through.

"What the heck... is this place?"

Were those bones in the corner? They looked like bones.

"I think both my legs are broken."

She sighed. Oh well, she'd probably be reborn in a couple of seconds.

A young woman walked down the hallway towards Becky.

“Are you alright?”

She waved. "Gimme a sec." She closed her eyes, took a deep breath, and burst into flames.
