Do any of you ever wish you were the youngest child instead of the oldest child?

Sometimes but then I remember that if I were the youngest I'd still have to deal with my younger siblings and this time they'd be my bosses.

Here’s a question oldest children.

How did you feel when your younger siblings finally got old enough to do those big-kids only things? (Graduate primary, get a phone, drive a car, go places alone, etc)

I was jealous. My little sibs didn’t have to fight for those things, because I already did.

I feel some of this. There are many things that my siblings got to do that I didn’t when I was their age, mainly watching entertainment and getting access to internet and stuff like that.

However, as I have watched my parents raise them, they have not made as…. good of decisions as I did and I can see the effects and trickle down pretty clearly. Couple this with the fact that I have many more privileges at 18 than both of them would have due to their choices and I think I’m pretty set.

Kinda, it just been more they've gotten things earlier than me because I never really fought to get things. Instead kinda fighting against driving instead of for it :P

I know that with my parents all of our privileges and such are tailored to each of us based on what they trust us with and what they know we'll feel safe with. So that doesn't bother me too much.

This is what I tried to communicate! You just did a better job at telling us. So yeah my parents know what each kid can handle and constantly test us to see if more can be given. By the time I was 16-17 I was basically living like an 18 year old who couldn’t drive and had a curfew only if my parents were the ones driving me home.

Hello! This may have already been brought up, but I don't really want to scroll through 14 pages to be sure. What is your relationship with your younger siblings like? Like, are you best friends, more of a parental figure, or do you just leave each other alone mostly?

I’d say I have a good relationship with my younger siblings. I have 4, and I interact with them all in different ways. Like, I have a different inside joke with #4 than with #2. I wouldn’t say I’m best friends with any of them, more of a “parental figure” maybe? I don’t try to parent me siblings, I let my parents do that, but I can be pretty bossy I guess. Also I tease them WAY more than I should, but they’re so funny xD

With the two after me (ages 14 and 11), a lot more of a sibling relationship. We're good friends and joke and goof off together a lot. The third after me (age 9)...we do not get along very well. So basically a lot more of a sibling relationship. With the two youngest, which are 5 and 3, I feel it does resemble a parental role, but not exactly. It's still a sibling relationship, it's just very skewed, because they're so much younger.

I have a good relationship with my siblings, we are all pretty close in age, so we do share some things in common. But they get everything I do which is so annoying as I had to fight for it, like when i was there age is could only stay up so late, and now they stay up to the same time as me. I have 2 younger siblings. 4 if you count step-brothers, then I would also not be the oldest.

I love my siblings a ton, but my relationship with them varies depending on the sibling. Potato is basically my best friend (although we're goofier than I would ever be around non-family), but I feel more like an aunt to the next-oldest sister, because we don't really talk as friends. With my brothers, I'm definitely a parental figure. There are some things (like brushing teeth, opening snacks, and putting to bed) that my brothers will only let me or my mom do. I'm hoping that will change as my brothers get older, but if my family moves, I won't see them as often, so I won't have as much opportunity to be close with them.

HI, I am here and im the oldest child :]

But now I've shifted towards playing more intense games. On the Parimatch site, I discovered something that provides me with a thrilling experience and the opportunity to earn.
