Exactly. Cats eat mice (lots of dogs do as well) so they're good for that. Dogs are just better because they're mostly what I want in a pet.

Unless I could get a well-trained dog-sized dragon. Now that I would prefer over a dog.

Ah, but you see, you have not met nice cats, then.

Either that, or they can sense you see them as an inferior species and have taken precautionary measures to make sure that you change your mind :P

Easy: Cats. I come to appreciate dogs, too, these days, but man... the singular amount of contentment that cats somehow manage to fit in their small bodies and their countless ways to radiate it...

Dogs are the best, they are much more loyal then cats, I've heard stories of dogs whos owners died and the dog just laid beside there body and died due to lack of food/water. I am always amazed that dogs do that, they are just superior.

Dogs.

Let me vent:

I've never actually owned and cat and never will. They smell bad. They aren't super friendly like dogs, which isn't to say they're mean they're just not very companion-oriented if that's even a thing. Yeah and you don't need to show me your cat cause I don't care to see it.

Hey! The age-old question - cats or dogs? It's a tough one, isn't it? Personally, I love both cats and dogs, and I think they both make great pets in their own way.

I love them both. I used to be very dog-oriented, but then I babysat my friend's cats while they were on vacation. My dog is like a cross between them. Obviously, she's a dog, but she loves to cuddle up to people and just sit on their laps.

I love cats more. They are the cutest storming things ever to exist (excluding things that are cuter). I also happen to have a phobia of dogs, which made the choice easier for me. They are also usually (my friend’s kitten excluded) much less energetic than dogs, which make them much more the kind of pet I’d want.

I currently own two dogs. However - that's not the whole story.

Spoiler

I like both cats and dogs (and most other pets - though some pets . . . should not be pets IMO). I grew up with both cats and dogs - then the allergies struck. I am allergic to both cats and dogs. Fortunately, for the dogs as long as I consistently take meds, wash my hands (and face) after each time we play or snuggle, the symptoms are managable (mostly eyes and sinus reactions) and it's worth keeping them (my mother is disabled and lives with me, she has always had GSDs for companionship and protection and does not feel safe without the pups if I am away on business).

Spoiler

Vixen (black with tan socks) is the older sister, Sullivan is her half-brother and is 1 yr younger.

I like cats. Cats seem to like me (my mom, before moving in with me, had a very anti-social rescue cat - that always sought me out when I visited). My allergies do not make relationships possible. I don't even have to see or touch a cat to react, within 15 minutes of entering a cat's home (because the house obviously belongs to the cat, even if they let humans live there to be thier chef) my eyes will swell. If I don't leave immediately and wash well, I will start having trouble breathing and my sinuses will go berzerk.

So, I like both cats and dogs, but while I can own a dog - I won't be able to have cats any more (and haven't had one since I was about 13).
