Imma let Tani and Xino drop in whenever. For the time being, though... let's get this party started.

Elya finished her breakfast, standing to collect everyone else's empty bowls. She held the stack in one hand, then balanced it all on the tip of a finger for no particular reason. As she moved to take Ji's bowl, though, the air began to shimmer ever so slightly. Her fragment of her senses warped, feeling at a place nowhere near here.

Transporter. Portals.

She whipped out her katana, hilt and blade slicing straight upwards. The very end wasn't even away from her scabbard when a distant bang sent a bullet right down the center. It split, clean in half, sending two hot lead shards to the sides. One clattered harmlessly against the wall, and the other slashed across Elya's face.

The bowls hit the ground and shattered.

"Everybody GET DOWN!"

I haven't been keeping up with this >.< ahh do I need to read the whole thing, or...?

Also QUICK QUESTION about Forgetfulness: sacrifice memories for power. Is that maximum power/permanent? Limits?

edit: I feel obligated to mention that I wouldn't know what to do if I wasn't an antagonist of some sort...

Two more portals appeared in quick succession. Elya slashed outwards, committed to a trajectory based on only a single point of reference. The Transporter was consistent, fortunately, so she cut across both bullets at just the right moment to scatter their halves about harmlessly. More appeared: one aimed at her, the other at Verim. In one fluid motion, she hurled a dagger at the other portal, then spun her blade up and around to her forearm.

The knife struck the first bullet to the side, while the second smacked into the blade with a earsplitting clang! Elya grunted as her forearm gave way a little, the bone cracking slightly underneath.

Perhaps I could've done better for armor than a jacket, She thought.

Guess whose internet is deciding to give out on them :DD

Ji didn’t have to be told twice. He immediately rolled off his cot, falling on the ground with a grunt. His veins burst alight with power as Ji looked up, squinting to find the shooter, but came up with nothing. As his blades materialized, Ji crawled with grimaces of pain hopefully out of the shooter’s line of sight.

“A sniper, great,” he muttered, brushing off debris off his hoodie. “What we need now is––”

His comment was cut short as laughter filled the room, echoing off the walls.

“My my my,” a voice said, dripping with laughter. “When she said that they were desperate, she wasn’t kidding. An abandoned hospital! The one that’s taboo to step in!!” The voice howled with laughter.

“Dear brother,” another voice said, “you know terrorists have no standards.”

Two figures stepped from the shadows, both wearing the same twisted grin. They were Corhic, and it was almost too hard to tell which part of Corhes they hailed from, till the older one ran his tongue over his sharpened canines. The male radiated wild energy, his twisted grin becoming larger as he looked over the people in there. The female had a hand on her hip, her calmness off-setting the male’s wildness.

“You think they’d mind?” the man asked, his stance becoming loose as his laughter filled the room.

“No, brother––” She raised a hand and flicked her fingers forward, corpses of different shapes and sizes appearing from the shadows, lunging towards the group “––I don’t think they do.”

The brother’s grin grew as he lunged forward, knives flashing in his hands.

Three Mystics. Maybe more. Transporter, Deathgranter, and whatever the third was.

Elya slashed her blade in a wide arc, taking off a corpse's head and glancing aside a bullet. They'd picked the worst time to attack: no one was in top condition. Lyanor was still healing, Ji was badly-injured, and they were all still in varying states of grogginess. At least they'd gotten to finish breakfast.

Ji cursed as a corpse came after him. He thrust his hand up, a blade zipping and embedding itself in the ceiling. With a grunt, he pulled himself off the ground and into the air, narrowly avoiding the corpse. He cursed again, but sent his ghostly blades towards the corpse that was after him. More blades appeared, zipping towards any other corpses that stood in the way.

The brother looked up at Ji, grinning. “Ji Naito,” he said, brandishing his knives, but instead of going after him, he turned to Elya.

He tilted his head at her. “The way you fight is familiar,” he said, before lunging at her, the grin widening every passing second.

Lights. It was them.

Elya stayed defensive, glancing aside blades and bullets as best she could. Her powers burned within her, fine-tuning her awareness and control. Moments were all she needed to react--and they were just slow enough for her to stay afoot.

But still: they were bad news. If the others were here as well...

Checkmate. Elya slashed her sword out in an arc, deflecting another bullet and a knife; but the other had been out of her control to deflect. It slashed across her chin, faster than herself as she ducked away.

The brother’s grin grew as he saw his knife make contact, bloodlust seeping into his eyes. He quickly slipped a knife back into its sheathe, reaching out and managing to touch Elya, his power bursting alight within him as lacerations began to appear on Elya’s skin, tracing their way all over her body.

Elya slipped. Instinct, pain, reflex, shock, and her powers all smashed into each other, jumbling into a mess of impulse. She slashed out with her katana, taking the most opportune moment to strike--but she recoiled from his touch, pain flaring across her face and neck. The blade only left a thin cut across his chest; and, despite herself, Elya only held in half a cry of pain. The rest emanated out in a broken shout.

Blood dribbled down her face. The collar of her jacket began to stain dark red.

This is bad.

Raviid puffed out a cloud of smoke, standing up and reaching out a hand to slow both the knife enthusiast and Elya's bleeding. "Get out of here. I'll play tag for a bit."

The brother smiled wickedly as he saw her in pain. The knife slipped into his hand again as he pressed the attack, unaware of Raviid's effect on him.

Ji's ears perked as he heard the shout, and turned towards Elya. A deep growl erupted from his lips, but didn't know how. He looked around, then up at the blade holding him in the air.

"Ko'ad help me, this is so stupid," he said quietly, the blade holding him fading as he let go and fell towards the brother.

He crashed into the brother, almost knocking him off his feet. The brother stumbled back, confused at what had hit him. He looked at what had hit him and grinned. "Bold today. Aren't you, Naito?" he asked.

"Not just tod––"

Ji got cut off as soon as the brother touched him, using his power again. Lacerations cut through his skin, engraving his face, legs, and arms with dark red lines. A raw, painful scream escaped his lips. Tears blurred his vision. He writhed on the ground, his screams becoming deeper and more painful. The blades that were attacking the corpses faltered out of existence as he lost his concentration, red-hot pain replacing all thoughts he had before.

Everything went dark.

It was an old sensation, anger. A white-hot fire, longing to grow, spread, and burn.

To consume and destroy.

A knife soared from her sleeve, palm, and through the air. It stabbed deep into the brother's hand, slicing through to the other side. Simultaneously, Elya dashed forwards and slashed. Her blade became a flurry of swipes as it crossed the animated corpses and the brother's body. If the dead could still see, then the last they'd glimpse would be a flash of steel.

Then, as soon as it came, the anger left.

And she stood breathing, coated in blood.

Ummm. Okay. I'm technically in seminary now though, so this should be the only thing I do. Don't let me be on here any more after this.

Lyanör peeked out from the cot that she'd hidden behind, taking a glance at the chaos around her. Elya and Ji were both literally dripping with blood.

Pulling out a gun, Lyanör took careful aim at the enemy nearest to her, shooting him as near to the heart as she could manage.

I think the one I shot was the brother.

The brother shouted, the knife dropping from his hand as he pulled back from Elya's attacks, deflecting them as much as he could. He cursed, but still grinned anyways as Elya hacked and slashed. She got him across the arms, a few slashes to the leg, and one across his face, but he smiled nonetheless.

"Arya," he barked, grinning. "We got a live one."

The sister––Arya––focused her hard gaze on Elya, then flicked her fingers towards her. Corpses breaking through the doors and throwing themselves at Elya.
