*Standing in front of a coffin above a grave, beneath a beautiful tree* "We are gathered here today to commemorate a fallen Observer in this war. Though I have only a passing acquaintance with Lightsworn Panda. I had for one short moment called him Lord, it is because of this incident that I am here this sad day. I will begin with a brief story about how I met Lightsworn Panda. It happened, as these sorts of things tend to do, on a that is humble in it's beginning, GroupClanGuild. I was but strolling The17th shard, a grand but precarious place where only the most powerful of the lands may wander. Full of amazing stories about the most diverse and enigmatic characters whose stories are still being written by the machine that is Brandon Sanderson. In the midst of this strolling, I happened upon a post that changed the course of my history. A post that for me, will have no equal. "The last picture is the Shroomite base." Beneath this humble post he had, through the amazing powers of the internet, great and terrible they may be, added a picture of a mushroom that had a house in it. My first thought, instantly, to the best mushroom village in all of the lands, the village. Home to that most magical of races, the smurfs. I then came to the answer of a question I didn't even know i was trying to answer. I am a smurf. Four simple words. One journey. A journey that I was eager to begin. But now the one who showed me the start of the journey is dead. Struck down by these eight simple words "And the health benefits are to die for." That these Eight simple words journey ended in Lightsworn Panda's death that the people on this site will have to work through together. But not by accusing anyone who may or may not have had anything to do with this tragedy. No, we will get over it by traveling the journey that we are all at this moment enjoying. I wish to leave you with the words he bore most close to his heart. "And Boom Goes The Dynamite". *wipes errant tear away* May you rest in peace, Founder and Leader of the Observer's Guild Lightsworn Panda.

You would be surprised, I think, at the amount of times I have fainted from straight pain, not physical trauma. Like the time someone, a smurfing Maori, thought it would be funny to rub deep-heat into second degree sunburn ( gotta love NZ sun ) I got a few years ago. Fainted straight away. Woke up and had... words with him. I could list more times but I can't be smurfed. But regardless we are both right, sort of, kind of, maybe? according to the Mistborn annotations

I could only come up with two ways. Copy and paste or as they burn Copper their mind is linked to the Coppermind. Though I'm pretty sure both of those methods are wrong, they don't seem... elegant enough for Mr Sanderson.

I was thinking more in terms of durability. Though you are right about all of it. Wildly off-topic but when i was rereading HoA and Vin took the power of Preservation she described her mind when it expanded as 'Awakening'. Interesting choice of word there. speaking of breath

[game] Buy or Sell?
SmurfAquamarineBodies replied to firstRainbowRose's topic in Forum Games & Random Stuff
Buy. Because that's the only way he can be described without the reader needing to read Warbreaker. By the end of the next book Szeth will either be a KR or dead. -
Have you ever been hit so hard that you get knocked out? I have and it was the shock of the pain that knocked me out. So why would him feeling all of those sensations not do the same to him? Unless it enhances his mind making it more durable, much like how Allomantic pewter makes the body more durable. EDIT: I need to stop posting whilst intoxicated makes my posts seem confrontational. Its starting to bug me.

I am rereading all of the Cosmere books and in HoA when Spook removes the Spike giving him Pewter he is overwhelmed by all that he could ignore using Pewter and he lets his Tin dim so that he no longer feels everything like he usually does. But when he Flares it again this happens. "With a scream of pain. Spook flared tin. As the metal always did, it brought a wave of sensations-thousands of them, shocking him at once. Pain. Feeling. Hearing . Sounds, smells, lights. And lucidity." emphasis mine. Wouldn't having all of those sensations at once cause him to to go into shock, instead of bringing him lucidity? I thought about it and what I came up with is it doesn't increase his senses, as much as it increases his mind making him more able to process the wide array of information his senses give him. ( I'm not sure if people know this but people hear and see far more than we think, we just can't process the information so it gets ignored. ) Not making him smarter just more observant. Anyway, thoughts? Am I completely bonkers or am I on to something? ( If you aren't quite sure what I'm asking/saying just ask and I will try to clarify. But remember I am a New Zealander and we basically speak another language. It's so hard trying to translate Kiwi into American )

The Ultimate List of Questions for Brandon
SmurfAquamarineBodies replied to Chaos's topic in Cosmere Discussion
But then what is a Allomantic Savant if not a person who has increased the 'crack' ( for want of a better word ) in their Spiritweb allowing more Investiture in so that they become more powerful. Or is that not how that works? If Shallan told Pattern "this statement is false" would his head explode? Because it is a paradox. -

If a Hemalurgist used Hemalurgy on Kaladin and took something not relating to his Nahel-bond, would Sylphrena fill the hole in his Spiritweb ( caused by the Spike ) with her own Investiture? Making their Bond more powerful. -

Buy? Kelsier will make his way to Roshar and he will Bond with Demoux in the Third trilogy. -
Ruin may have intended to send the Inquisitors to other planets to aid him in his quest to reduce everything to dust. So that if he ever got trapped again he had servants that could help free him.

Hemalurgy:Pros-Cons-How?
SmurfAquamarineBodies replied to SmurfAquamarineBodies's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Off-Topic Maybe the reason the spikes are so big is because the Bind-points are deep in the body? I'd say that for a Chromium Burner to remove all Investiture they would have to be a Savant. Otherwise they would be too OP. IMO -
Shroomie? *gasps* no no AquamarineBodies is a smurf. Who lives in the village Shroomie. Hang on. do you mean to tell me that I discovered a world wide conspiracy? Then opened my big mouth and told everyone? Well that smurfs.

Oh, did you not hear? The moderators have been replaced by Kandra set to take over the world. One website at a time. They are slowly gathering an army in case anyone finds out. *starts packing bags* So that they can then take them out. *flees*

When a Feruchemist stores strength they lose muscle mass. Which suggests that they are taking the actual muscle tissue, converting it into Investiture and storing it in the Metalmind. This idea is reinforced by the fact that when they tap strength they gain muscle in proportion to how much strength they use. If this is correct then the Brute idea should work.

Don't you just Smurf when life gets in the way of Brandon Sanderson.

That's right, you read correctly, this clan is now the most terrifying thing in the Cosmere. Hemalurgic Smurfs. -
The Ultimate List of Questions for Brandon
SmurfAquamarineBodies replied to Chaos's topic in Cosmere Discussion
I was meaning in regards to them being able to gain Investiture, because a 'cracked Spiritweb is necessary. Like if a Scadrian Lerasium mistborn went to Nalthis and had a child with a Nalthisian, and the child had a breath but got made into a Drab. Then the child was taken back to Scadrial would the gap left by the Breath count as a 'cracked' Spiritweb allowing the child to become an Allomancer? Or would it still need to be Snapped? ( That was a long winded question ) So innate Investiture is required for a Nahel-bond? I guess that makes sense it would give the Spren something to hold onto as it transitioned from the Cognitive to the Physical Realm. No idea. Really depends if Investiture is needed to travel the other Realms. But a Drab is able to use Innvestiture. They just don't have any whilst a Drab. So if a worldhopper really wanted to they could get a Nahel-bond? How much more powerful are the Knights Radiant compared to the Surgebinders talked of by Nohadon? -
I always thought that the Spiritual realm is where Breath sat, so it should affect that realm first.

Awakening:Pros-Cons-How?

Cons: -drabs have a gap in the spiritweb? -to gain breath drabs must be created. -can be forced to give away breaths.
