  1. I swear purely for the reaction. So using Alethi curse words would ruin that ( Lol Ruin ).
  2. How did Kelsier know to pick up Preservation's power?
  3. Did he get confused on the way to his contractor and instead go to the zoo? It sounds like a bunch of chimpanzees were hired. How did they manage to break asphalt?
  4. If Mists can turn someone into a Sliver wouldn't Breath as well? How many Breaths would it take? Edit: Not Splinter but Sliver.
  5. So then Vin was a Splinter after defeating TLR?
  6. It might be because the human body is an imperfect container for Investiture, so the Returned need to continuously top up on Breaths. Or because the Divine Breath is constantly trying to escape so normal Breaths are needed to hold the Divine Breath inside their body.
  7. I wouldn't do it for anyone else but for my own amusement. Even if he knew who I was and proved that he is divine I wouldn't tell anyone and I would continue to be an atheist.
  8. Are we able to get back to our own time? If so either go back to Jesus, who did exists it's just a question of if he was the son of God, and ask 'who am I? If he is divine that little question shouldn't be too hard. Or I would go back and ask my grandfather 'why did you let your son molest your daughter? You realise that made her the crappiest mother on the planet.'
  9. I myself have no pets though I did have a bearded dragon named Psycho, but he died unfortunately. Instead of owning pets I sometimes look after my sister's pets, she currently has 3 1/2 dogs, 2 1/2 rats, 3 cats, 1 deer, though it may have run off I'm not sure, 3 or 4 horses, I'm never sure which ones are hers and which ones she is looking after, 2 calves, 1 pony and 1 water dragon. I say 3 1/2 dogs because she has a Chihuahua, which is basically half rat and half dog, mangy ugly thing that it is. All of her animals are special needs I swear. Her border collie sits like a girl, he crosses his front paws, he also pees like a girl, he is either gay or was put in the wrong body.
  10. more like a multi flavour ice-cream that contains all of the above.
  11. Nothing to be sorry about. I was just curious.
  12. Why did you emphasise 'to' like that? Did you think I meant anyone on any planet could get a Nahel-bond? Because I know that to get a Bond the person must be on Roshar, I was only saying that anyone from any planet could get a Bond. So long as they met the Spren's standards and they happened to be on Roshar at the time.
  13. Eh, if I want to laugh at something on tv I watch stand ups. But I rarely watch tv to laugh so I watch shows such as Orphan Black and The Blacklist.
  14. He is but I'd say that Nahel-bonds are similar to Hemalurgy in that anyone, regardless of planet of origin, can be Bonded. Though in saying that I doubt that Nazh is a Windrunner. If he is a Surgebinder I'd say that he is either a Lightweaver or an Elsecaller. But I doubt he is a Surgebinder.
  15. I liked the series well enough but I thought the ending was just stupid. Biggest army of dead things that world had ever seen, let's sing a song at them, works every time. I really didn't like that. Also I didn't like how after Jenine was rescued and taken back to Logan, Logan forgave her for what? Having sex with Dorian after she fell in love with him, which is acceptable to me because she thought Logan was dead. He even said it to her and she was all like, 'oh thank you! I love you.' ( not an exact quote but I don't have the books on me. ). Other than that, I liked it. The magic was a bit meh but that stone thing was funny, Kylar was a good character and Durzo was awesome.
  16. Wow. Rough.
  17. Neither. That's why I shared it with you lot. If no-one here could find anything to suggest that this is real then I would assume that it was false.
  18. Ahhh, what about this? http://www.indiana.edu/~acoustic/quake/quake2.html
  19. After watching the episode I'm going to have to go with it not being a Mistborn reference. Though you nearly got me to start watching the show with 1 statement so for that I congratulate you.
  20. So that quote Curiosity is very interesting. When I was reading Mistborn for the first time I assumed that Ruin didn't like to Spike Mistborn for their powers because it was fatal. But know I know it is not fatal. So if it's not fatal why can't the same person be Spiked twice? We must assume that the same person can't be Spiked twice because Ruin himself was unable to do so. Is it because, when someone is Spiked, the little piece of Ruin is taken? Actually no, that can't be it. Because it is theoretically possible to take a Shardblade from someone using Hemalurgy. Unless Brandon was being tricksy and he 'forgot' to mention that though Hemalurgic Spikes can be given to anyone, they can only be charged by someone with Ruin inside of them. No that can't be it. Hmmm. Well even though I have managed to confuse the original question it would still perhaps clarify some things.lord Well anyway that question I asked, "do Hemalurgic Spikes work by using the little piece of Ruin inside people as a way of charging the Spike?" was supposed to be lead up, if correct, with if someone who had the potential to be an Allomancer but had yet to Snap, was Spiked would that allow them to become an Allomancer with having to Snap in the traditional sense? Though now that I think about it even if Hemalurgy doesn't work like that. I can think of nothing more traumatic than having a chunk of your Spiritweb ripped out, so I guess they have no choice but to Snap.
  21. I personally dislike the term 'rape culture' because it implies, to me, that the person who says it thinks only females can get raped, which is definitely not true. Having been raped myself, by a female, I can definitely tell you that it is possible for a male to get raped. As for the actual essay, I don't know. I never experienced anything like that directly. I've never been teased about reading books with female protagonists. My dad saw me reading books about females and he never told me or even implied that he didn't like me reading them. My friends were more disgusted by the fact that I read almost constantly than anything else. As far as recommending books, I just grab the book and throw it at whoever I think would enjoy and tell them to read it. If they ask what it is about I would reply in the most broadest of terms. Example, Mistborn got reduced to, "some chick, who has magic powers, fights some bloke, who is basically a god."
  22. HR is Human resources, or something like that. Oh I agree that I should go see a doctor but seeing a doctor costs me money that i do not currently have. If I could get to the hospital it would be free but currently I am unable to do so.
