QF78: Hearts of Riches, Rhythms of Hatred [signups]
Jo and the Bush replied to Hoid Slayer's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Jojala stared out over the city of Revolar from the highest tower of Paladar's manor. She had cleaned this room many a time under Highlord Paladar, and now she was cataloguing its contents for the Fused. She had volunteered for the position in order to reach this very tower. Every time she'd been in it before, she'd never looked out the window. She'd been a slave, a Parshman, a servant of Paladar. But she'd had cousins who had been free, who had lived far to the east, in the exile of Narak. Paladar's tower wasn't high enough to see Narak. It could only see Revolar. She wondered how tall the tower spoken of by Venli was. She said it dominated Narak, and that one could see the entirety of the plains from it's peak. Jojala wanted to see it. But instead, she was here, in Revolar, serving Singers who cared little for their cousins, and Fused who cared little for the Singers. And too make it even worse, she was stuck with that kunukam Jojoja. She couldn't quite put into words why she hated Jojoja, but ever since the first time meeting him, she'd had the feeling that he was mocking her. She dearly hoped that he would meet the 'honorable' fate of becoming a Vessel of the Fused. That would be very nice to see. ▔┃▁┃▔┃▁┃▔┃▁┃▔┃▁┃▔┃▁┃▔ @ThatOneWorldhopper, I'm voting you Day 1, unless you manage to make Jojoja an interesting RP character. (There is no actual malice here, I'm very amused, but I am going to vote you.)- 621 replies

That happens every Conversion game, but that's part of the risks of it. The village usually knows to be on the lookout for would be traitors.

Anniversary Game 12: TYRIAN FALLING, Aftermath
Jo and the Bush replied to Jo and the Bush's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I mean, yes and no? I definitely spent a solid 10 hours building it before the game began, and only saved a maximum of 3 hours, but, very importantly, those three hours were saved at premium times. I wake up at 5:30, rollover is at 7, I have to leave for work at 7:30. In that time period I have to cook and eat breakfast, do dishes, feed and clean my cats, do regular morning prep, record any new votes/actions, write the story for the writeup if TUM is busy with family, and double check the action output. I don't have a lot of time in the morning, so saving probably 20 minutes every rollover was actually super useful to me. I spent free time when I had plenty of it to save time when I didn't have it. Plus, you know, skill building. I've already learned ways to make this sheet a lot better just from working on it as much as I have. -

I just checked the Pass Winners List, and Archer has now won 3 passes in a row. Good job. -
AFTERMATH <Callsign: Fuchsia Ostrich> Fuchsia Pulled. The Medallion wasn't giving her iron, but she refused to let Jochen die. The Medallion vibrated, it became uncomfortably warm against her skin, and she burned Iron. The bullet slowed, then started back to her. Something instinctual stopped Pulling and instead Pushed it just enough to make it stop in its tracks. Capone turned to her, eyes flitting between the bullet and her. “Impressive. You care about him so much? That could be—” <Callsign: Azure Mouse> In a moment, the door was pulled open, the gun fired, but Jochen didn't die. The man on the other side lowered his gun, looking at something that Jochen couldn't see. Jochen didn't have time to consider that he had been expecting Fuchsia. This man had just tried to shoot him. The man was saying something, but not to Jochen. He didn't listen, he just launched himself from the tunnel and hit the man mid sentence. The man dropped the gun and stepped back, so Jochen lunged to grab it. He came up pointing it at the man, but he paused before firing. The man was laughing. <Callsign: Error—Subject's records have been purged from the system> Tin Capone was cut off by Jochen’s fist hitting his face. He stepped back, putting his hand to his jaw. His attacker, the Mouse, was pointing the gun at him. Al couldn't help but laugh. “Brave little rodent, aren't you? You remind me of someone I knew a long time ago.” “Who are you? Where's Razer?” Jochen questioned. “I'm right here, Jochen. Put the gun down,” Fuchsia responded, without so much as a glance at Capone. He hid his scowl. The woman was still a loose cannon, no matter how useful she was to his future plans. Jochen didn't lower the gun. He swiveled to point it at Fuchsia. “Why? Why betray the ship?” Al just watched. It would be useful, seeing how Fychsia reacted. “I didn't. You have to believe me, Jochen,” Fuchsia pleaded. “You've been working with the saboteurs. Don't try to deny it. He's proof,” Jochen said, gesturing toward Al. Al smirked. How little he knew. Still, impressive considering how little information he had. “I didn't. They were going to kill me. It was join him or die. Put the gun down, Jochen.” “Don't lie to—” Al's communicator pinged. He looked at the screen, but the movement spooked Jochen, who pointed the gun back at Al. “We're out of time. She's telling the truth, but neither of you know the whole story. The saboteurs were a means to an end, and they accomplished their goal—” “How? They were all captured last I checked,” Jochen interrupted Al. “Interrupt me again, and it will be your last. I told you, I don't care about this ship. I care about her,” Al pointed to Fuchsia. “And now, I care about you. You've impressed me. And I have an offer.” “What offer? I'm no traitor.” Al shook his head. “You wouldn't betray your ship. I'd see to it that all the papers were in order for your immediate transfer to a special unit.” “What for?” Jochen asked, but more gently this time. “My name is Tin Capone,” Jochen’s eyes widened, “and I see you know my name. Then you know of the Metal Mafia. The Scadrian government didn't arrest us all like they claim. We just kind of… joined forces.” “So what's the job?” Jochen asked, and Al knew he was sold. “I'm putting together a team. Razer is going to be the leader. You, I think, would make an excellent spy.” “I,” Jochen looked at Fuchsia. “I'm in.” Tin Capone smiled. He offered his hand while activating the Transportation fabric with his other. The device began to hum. Soon, the entire room would be Transported to the cognitive realm. “Welcome to the Mobborn.” @The Unknown Medallion's Thoughts: So, uh, yeah, I think we all know what happened. Three elims deaths in a row, and the only successful Elim kill was on an elim. That would definitely wreck any distro, though I'll admit there were several problems with this one. The two biggest were the extra Lurcher and the potential v!k!Seeker. The lurcher, there wasn't much we could do about. Mistakes happen, and I don't blame Jo in the slightest. We probably shouldn’t have even had the four we were planning on though, and that was an error. We overestimated the thread control/the plays the elims would make. In hindsight, the e!Seeker would have benefited more from a permanent Tineye than the village would have. Then there's the village stealing a Seeker. Frankly, we just didn't think of it. In my head, the Kandra were failsafes against swingyness, and if I was running this again, I'd make villagers only able to steal villager roles, but always give them priority when competing against elims. Elim deaths are already punishing enough without the village getting an extra role. Some things did work how I expected though, it just was too late. I was banking on the village realizing 2 CSs was insane, especially with Lurchers and MB in high quantities (both of which should have seemed to be much more elimmy roles than Seekers). It very nearly saved the elims twice, but the Rollover Crew was just too strong. I mentioned in the Finale that we should have leaned into the bit more. My initial idea was all e!Seekers vs a CS and Smoker, which I dubbed reverse mafia. I will never run this game in the future, so feel free to completely forget that I ever mentioned this distro idea. I think that's about it. I'm sure Jo will be around soon with his own thoughts, so watch out for those. @A Jo in the Bush's Thoughts: The Master Spreadsheet Announcements:The Mods have asked us to put out an open call for potential new moderators. AG12 - Finale: Final Breaths

AG12 - Finale: Final Breaths
Jo and the Bush replied to The Unknown Medallion's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Official Vote Count: Players that have voted: 18 / 20 Players still needing to vote: Magenta Albatross and Opal Lion. At this point, with 13 votes, I'm not telling is definitely getting a pass. It's still technically possible for places 2, 3, and 4+ to change, so not going to announce those names. I'm also not announcing Place 1 yet, obviously. 13 pages of Finale. This is great. I love this. You all have about 12 hours left of access to your Anonymous Accounts, then I'm changing all the locks and giving the keys to Wilson again. If you haven't left any messages for your future souls, or if you haven't trolled enough, get it in now. -

Yup. We would still like to collect vites from Kangaroo, Meerkat, Chameleon, Lion, Albatross and Weasel, but with 14 voters already, we do have a good bracket. -

Question, Did running the Anniversary game take up my Long game slot? If so, I would like to signup for another LG. Also, the Anniversary game has finished, and at least one person already asked when the next game is starting. I think it's an MR next? is that correct?

AG12 - Finale: Final Breaths
Jo and the Bush replied to The Unknown Medallion's topic in Sanderson Elimination
IT HAS NOT EVEN BEEN 12 HOURS. WHY IS THERE 8 PAGES OF THREAD TO READ THROUGH???????????? This game has about 47 pages total already, and we only went for 3 cycles. AG2 went to Night 11 and only had 35 pages, and 27 players! The Longest AG was AG10, which had 77 pages, 25 players, and Went to Day 8. If this game went to Day 8, it would have approximately 90 pages, and if we increased the playersize to 25 it would be approximately 102 pages! I love all of you so much. Please keep playing games of SE. Anyway. Time to quote a bunch of posts. I said that comfortably knowing you were the last Kandra. It is up for at most 72 hours, or until everyone has voted. Once we post the Aftermath, I will be changing the password on all of the Anon Accounts, so you won't be able to use them at that point. You Seeking them would have killed them anyway. We asked Dingo if they wanted to end the game or not if they got Seeked, and they said yes. Oooh, that is actually a very good fix. You're hired. Next game I run you're my Co-GM Elbe. Ehhh, theoretically we're not supposed to confirm identities, but we're like 8 friggen pages past that I guess. You got correctly identified before you even posted. What's funny is I've never even played Undertale. I've thought long and hard about whether or not there was a way for me to pilot an Anonymous Account while GM'ing and not have it cause Balance or Ethical issues, just so that I could troll, but there isn't. I believe yes, you can bestow anything. EDIT: Ninja'd like 7 times over. -
AG12 - Finale: Final Breaths
Jo and the Bush replied to The Unknown Medallion's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Honestly I mostly stand by it. There are a few tweaks I would have made i retrospect, but i don't think any distro would have survived back to back Elim Executions. Expect to have more detailed thoughts later. -

Hmm. huh. I didn't really think about that. This change really is a boost specifically to V!Smokers, and a bane to E!Smokers. Fascinating. Oops? It's true that a player cannot take two actions, they cannot kill and smoke in the same night. -

That is a spreadsheet error. It should say 7. No one voting on Salmon Meerkat had their vote canceled for any reason. My bad. -
So, it seems like this is going to stay the vote count? Can I start writing now? Scarlet Octopus (4): Violet Axolotl, Quartz Zebra, Onyx Flamingo, Indigo Weasel Salmon Meerkat (7): Taupe Gecko, Scarlet Octopus, Plum Rhinoceros, Oxblood Beagle, Mint Heron, Melon Dingo, Ivory Dragonfly Plum Rhinoceros (2): Sunburst Toucan, Magenta Albatross
