  1. 96 Hours until Game Start I'm pronouncing that like Fly-cado Volly, That's the only way it makes sense to me. Are you using a substitution cipher to generate names?
  2. If that helps you sleep at night, then yes, 6 is Optimus Prime Players beware, you are being observed by the most dangerous of people. "Rushu." "Yes Brightness Navani?" "I have a special order for you. We have an honored guest coming to the Tower, one Araris Valerian, retired hero of Alera." "Okay? What does that have to do with me?" "I need you to design a fabrial that can rock back and forth even while moving through the sky. He's quite fond of rocking chairs, and I intend to present him with an excellent one from which to observe." "Right away Brightness." The records of the Tower have been updated, now that you have introduced yourself. The Sibling bids you welcome to Urithiru and considers the question carefully. I'll admit to being somewhat surprised at the high turnout in less than 48 hours. I reckon the signups will probably slow down as time goes on, but I will also note that part of the design of this game was meant to compensate for low player counts. I'm not really sure how the game will hold up if we get into the 20's or so. If we get above 15 I'll start to worry.
  3. There are overall 15 factors of 144, of which 2 and 3 are its prime factors. The Prime Factorization of 144 is 24 × 32. Factors of 144: 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 9, 12, 16, 18, 24, 36, 48, 72 and 144 Prime Factorization of 144: 2 × 2 × 2 × 2 × 3 × 3 = 24 × 32 Does that help?
  4. 144 hours until game start. Noted! It will be very interesting to watch it play out, yeah. Noted! That is correct! Distribution for this game isn't complicated, so I can take signups right up until the very last second. The Sibling bids you welcome to Urithiru, and appreciates the actual respect given them.
  5. The Sibling bids you welcome to Urithiru and seems sad that you didn't want to GM as them. The Sibling bids you welcome to Urithiru, Talinele, first of your name, he who sleeps through rollover. Yup, 2PM UTC, assuming I did the math right. Rollover is at the exact same time I posted this thread. The Sibling bids you welcome to Urithiru, and offers you a repository of names.
  6. The Sibling bids you welcome to Urithiru, and inquires as to what a Penguin is.
  7. The Sibling bids you welcome to Urithiru, and makes not of your willingness to sacrifice yourself. The Sibling bids you welcome to Urithiru, and has sent for Lift to provide you with a Name. The Sibling bids you welcome to Urithiru, and then checks their map. There is no Area in Urithiru that is Unknown to them. The Sibling bids you welcome to Urithiru, and appreciates your lack of things to say. Not everything has to be a conversation.
  8. The Sibling watches carefully as humans, singers, as other strange beings move through their halls. It has been so long since they have played host to a civilization, it is hard to understand the things they say and do now. Newly revealed to the world, and to the greater Cosmere, the Tower City of Urithiru and the Sibling who serves as it's mind and soul are a subject of great interest. Ancient secrets and lost powers attract the curious and powerful. Some who would study, and some who would steal. But as long as a person is inside their halls, it does not matter what power they can bring to bear. They can be stopped, if they can be remembered. This is a simple, semi-experimental game that might end up being a little longer then most Quick Fixes. The only way to be removed from this game is to be Executed. There are no Kill abilities. Votes cast for Execution last forever though, and the Eliminators can remove some votes. VOTING and EXECUTIONS Everyone must vote every cycle. If you do not vote in a cycle, your vote will be cast for yourself. The final vote count at the end of a cycle carries over to the next cycle, and the next, ad infinitum. This means that if 3 people vote for you on Cycle 1, and you are not executed, you will begin Cycle 2 with 3 votes on you. Votes cannot be changed after the end of the cycle. If Alice votes for Bob on cycle 1, that vote will be on Bob for the rest of the game, regardles of who Alice votes for on Cycle 2. When a player dies, their votes are not removed nor erased. They continue to be considered for execution. In the case of a Tied Execution, the players tied for most votes are all executed. There will be a public Voting Spreadsheet so that everyone can easily see what votes have been made throughout the game. Players will still vote in the thread as normal. PRIVATE MESSAGES Private Messages are available, but are limited to only 1 on 1 messages, and must include the Impartial Moderator, and myself, the Game Master. You may make any number of PM's per cycle, and they last throughout the game. FACTIONS and ALIGNMENTS There are only two Factions and Alignments, the Citizens of Urithiru, and the Enemies of Urithiru. Citizens of Urithiru The typical Village Faction. They win when all of the Enemies are dead. Enemies of Urithiru The Enemies have a Google Doc to speak in private. The Enemies of Urithiru do not have a Kill action. Instead, they may target one player, and erase all votes they have made in the game, including this cycle. Once per Game, the Enemies may instead protect one player from execution. If they are the only one up for execution, the player with the second most votes will be executed instead. If they are in a tie, the others will be executed instead. The Enemies win when the Citizens cannot win through perfect play. Generally, this means outnumbering the Citizens, but that does not guarantee victory. HOUSEKEEPING Quick Fix 75 will begin in exactly one Week, on Wednesday the 21st of May, 2025, at 2:00 PM UTC. Each Cycle will be one Turn, lasting for exactly 24 hours, from 2 PM to the following 2 PM. Our Impartial Moderator will be @Araris Valerian. 9. Steeldancer is available to run a QF, but also doesn't have a Rule set ready. So, Steeldancer has first dibs, then TJ, then Me. I'm still happy to give my Ruleset to anyone.
  10. Has anyone reached out to Steeldancer or Drake on Discord? Steel hasn't been on the shard in several weeks.
  11. Only got 84% on my Business Law Midterms. Still a passing grade tho!

  12. Ideally I would wait until the end of this month, just after finals, to run a game, but a QF doesn't take too much time, so I think I could.
  13. The Incentives I had thought of were for the Amyrlin to either be able to learn exactly how many Elims there had been at the start of the game, or for them to be able to learn exactly how many Elims were in one of the Ajahs. The second option is more powerful, but could easily be way too powerful at the end of the game, where as the first option is useful only to do early, since by the time we had an Amyrlin, they already knew there were 5 elims. Either that or the ability to reorganize the Ajahs, moving people into new docs to revitalize them. IDK, I think just number of Elims would be nice.
  14. I very much enjoyed what parts of the game I got to play in, and would like to apologize for 'going inactive'. Midway through Day two, IRL events happened that resulted in me learning the Alignments of Everyone in both the White Ajah and the Yellow Ajah, which prevented me from ethically staying in the game. I really wish I could have stayed in the game. Regardless! Thank you @|TJ| for running the game! Thank you @Kasimir and @Ashbringer for being the best doc mates I could have asked for other than @xxGaea. I hope to play with you all again soon.
  15. Yeah, but typically games run for about... let's say a bit longer than 3 weeks, no? And I would start getting busy around the last week of May itself :P. Just try to die early? Make a really good threatening Town play early on so the elims kill you asap. =P
  16. MR##: The Politics of Gods It is up to the Returned in Hallandren to decide whether or not War is necessary to bring the Idrian Rebels into line. It is the Gods who vote on such matters of great importance, not their Chosen Priests. The priests job is to give advice, both about whether or not to go to War, and about which of the other priests are Pahn Kahl Dissidents. This is a game in which everyone is equal under the Gods, and therefore has no role specific to them. Everyone will belong to a specific God, and be able to talk to the other priests in the privacy of their Court. The priests will be able to influence their God into voting to Execute a certain priest as a Dissident. Eventually, each god will give up their Divine Breath, to a priest chosen by their Court. Let’s talk actual mechanics now. Factions Chosen Priests This is the Village Faction. None of them know anything special, and they do not have a factional ability. They win once all the Pahn Kahl Dissidents are killed. Pahn Kahl Dissidents This is the Eliminator Faction. They have a secret Google Doc to communicate in, and start knowing each other’s identity. Each cycle, they make kill one player. They win once the Chosen Priests cannot win, even through perfect play. Generally this means the Pahn Kahl win if they outnumber the Chosen Priests, but it is technically possible for this to not be the case. The Courts Each of the 10 Returned Gods has a Court (Google Doc) that is accessible to only their priests. The priests inside the Court know who each other are, but that information is not publicly available. Inside the Court, the priests may discuss at will. During the Cycle their God will be Giving Away their Divine Breath, the priests of their court will vote on whom the Recipient of that Divine Breath will be. All Courts will have at least 3 players in them. If a priest’s death brings the occupancy of the court to 2 or less, the court will either be scattered to other courts, or an excess priest from another court will be brought in to make up the numbers. Whenever a new priest is added to the court, the Doc will be made anew, so they do not have access to prior conversations. If there is not enough players to populate all 10 courts, some of the courts will have Zero players inside them. These are referred to as Empty Courts, and is not publicly known information. Seniority All Priests and Gods have a Seniority ranking that is Public Knowledge. All ties will be broken in favor of Seniority, leaving nothing to RNG. Gods will give up their Divine Breaths in order of Seniority, from oldest to youngest. Voting In this game, Voting is done via Bold, Red Names in the thread as normal, but the count of those votes will be very different. You will be advising your God on what Priest should be removed, and your God has all the sway of their Priesthood. Each God votes in favor of the Plurality of their Priesthood, effectively casting all their Priest’s votes for the same person. Each Court (Doc) has a Voting Power Equal to the number of Priests inside it. If Nounverb the Descriptive has 5 priests, then his vote is worth 5. If a Court is Empty, it will vote randomly for a player that was voted on, but does not currently have the most or secondmost votes. IE: Empty Courts will vote without truly affecting the Execution. Example Vote: Divine Breaths When a God becomes Seniormost, their priests will have the opportunity to vote on who their god will give their Divine Breath to. That player will either gain a One-Use ability that must be used on the following Turn, or they gain a Passive Ability. The Following Gods are listed in order of Seniority, from oldest to youngest. If the game is still going after all 10 gods have given their breath away (or been killed by Dustbringer), 10 new gods with near identical names, and identical powers and seniority will be born, and the rotation will continue. PM's: None of that now. Talk in your Court or in the Thread.
  17. It's hilarious to me that this is my first time posting in this thread. I would like to sign up for a LG slot, untitled game in progress, Nightblood and Breath Mechanics. I would like to sign up for a MR slot, The Politics of Gods, a Warbreaker Doc heavy roleless game. I would like to sign up for a QF slot, The Tower's Pressure, a role-less cumulative-vote game that I'll also be posting soon.
  18. Is it public information if someone has 1 or 0 breaths? I assume it is from context of the assassins being able to give up breath and do a kill same turn, but i would like confirmation.
  19. Haha, what? No, absolutely not. i appreciate the confidence, but I have neither the time nor the confidence.
  20. If you want an ‘in-game’ reason to vote for me, consider that there are 5 players who are completely immune to the Execution right now. As things stand, they have no incentives to truly interact with the Execution, because we cannot pressure them. The Black Ajah can actually hide amongst the Sitters easily, because they know they don't have to try to seek power, and they don't have to defend themselves. Electing me to the Amyrlin Seat early removes the Execution immunity of every Sitter. Additionally, it will *never* be safe to elect a player. I am the only one who will be able to 100% certainly deduce my alignment. That will not change if we wait for 4 full Cycles until there are only 2 Sitters left. We will have more info, sure, but there are excellent players in this game, who, if they are BA, can use that time to set up a BA Sitter as clearly Village. The additional information we will attain by waiting will mitigate that somewhat, but it will not entirely offset it. Finally, most importantly, I do not believe I am going to be elevated tonight, tomorrow night, or any night before night 4. I don't care about that though. Actively pursuing the sea gets me valuable information, and makes the game more entertaining. If I have to choose between an Optimal-boring strategy, and an Entertaining-risky strategy, but both have vaguely equal chances of victory, I'm going to choose the Entertaining strategy. It's a game after all, and with how stressful this game can be at times, I have to make it entertaining for it to be worthwhile. Vote Jo for the Aymrlin Seat! I promise to never learn how to spell Amrylin!
  21. I've run games of SE and other custom games before. I enjoy creating things that people will play, and interact with. People were talking about preventing the Amyrlin Elevation, and slowing it down or dismantling it, and generally only talking about it in a negative way. If i was running a game, and the entire playerbase decided that one of my mechanics wasn't worth playing with, because of the danger, and chose to take the safer, boring option, i would be sad, and discouraged. So i decided to have fun and just see if I could do it.
  22. I try to do that, ut then my memory starts playing tricks on me, and then i decide to spend hours doing this, and then i get burnt out and go inactive. Its happened in like 5 games. Whenever i start to take a game too seriously, this happens. i think i'm going to stop while I'm ahead and not continue that spreadsheet.
  23. Honestly? I haven't actually looked deeply enough at the Polly Execution. I probably will end up trusting you once I do, but I'm still trying to work my through a detailed analysis in order. I'm realizing this is a terrible idea, because of how long it took me just to get everything from N0 into a spreadsheet. For the Record, this is the idiocy I'm engaging in: My vibes on you before the Polly-flip were you were an Elim, and off and on for the past 18 hours, I've been trying to actually figure out where all my vibes are coming from, in a data driven way, and I strongly recommend never doing this. Typing this all up, I'm realizing that I shouldn't be playing right now. I need to go to bed. The reason I haven't done that is work will be hectic tomorrow, so this is my last chance to do any real analysis before the Day starts. But, I'm not actually doing any analysis, I'm doing Data Entry. So, uh, folks, if you need me, I will be on again for a short time in (Checks Watch) 9 hours, just long enough to check the thread, answer questions, then I need to go to work. Hopefully the thread hasn't been unwoven in that time. Steel is probably good. TL:DR, no, it's not too long, go read it.
