  2. "Do you wanna know why they call me Iced Out Penguin?" "To be honest," said the man once known as Davey, "I'm not rightly certain what a Penguin is." "It's a bird, lives up in the coldest reaches of some worlds." Ciris provided the answer. "Not here on Roshar of course, no Arctic land masses, but Scadrial and Sel both have varieties of Penguins." "Right you are Ciris, right you are." Penguin pulled out a bag from his vest, and carefully poured out some pale blue dust. "This here is called Celeste Spores, from Lumar's Celeste Sea. I took bags of them to Sel, it's where I got the name. Lumar doesn't have any Penguins." "And, what do they do?" Tinel asked. "Will it help us save the Sibling?" "Nah, it freezes things. When they come into contact with water, the suck all of the heat out of the area. I got the name Iced Out Penguin when I flash-froze a dozen people to death." There was a pause. A dozen people came to correct conclusions just too late. Penguin already had spores in one hand, and a bag in the other. He spun, bag open and dust spilling out into the air in a cloud. People screamed, jumped backwards, or brought powers to bear. The ceiling began to slam down as the Sibling attempted to put a stop to this before it was too late. Penguin grinned as he was smashed. The Sibling had come to the wrong conclusion, exactly as he'd hoped. His life's blood was sprayed out from his corpse, mixing with the air, and the spores, and splattering the 4 people around him. Their life's heat was sucked from them, leaving them as freeze-dried as if they'd been dead in a desert for a decade. 5 corpses fell to the ground. 6. In the Cognitive Realm of the Sibling, Midius was guiding two shadows toward's the Memory Hall. "Now, I don't know how inhabiting these Bodies will change you, it might turn you into an enemy, depending on the memories present inside those heads, but I figure that's a small risk to take." The two Thoughts nodded dully. Midius sighed. He wasn't going to get any conversation out of these two until they had actual frames to inhabit. Bodies to provide them the necessary. "They're good bodies these two. Names of Karl and," he hesitated, then checked his hand where he had written the names. There wasn't a second one. "Names of Karl and, Davey, sure." They had arrived in the hallway leading into the mental version of the Memory Hall. Karl and Davey were standing at different points in the room, and Midius went for Davey first, leading the Thoughts by the hand. "This won't hurt a bit, I assume. I've never done it." He lined the silent thought up with the silent body, and carefully drew them together. In the physical world, Davey started, as if waking up from a dream. He looked around, then saw that people were gathering around Aster and Karl. He walked over to hear the tail end of the analysis. In the cognitive, Midius grinned in satisfaction. "That went well, wouldn't you say if you could?" No one answered him, but he applauded himself anyway. Next was Karl. He frowned as he saw what was happening to Karl. The man was standing next to Aster, and the crowd around them was discussing removing both of them. There was also a large source of Metal directly behind him. "What's this?" He moved quickly. If he could get a thought into Karl soon, he might be able to save the man. But then the metal moved, high and quick, and Midius yelled in suprise and glee. "It's Kalhavar with the Steel Chair!" Karl crumpled to the ground under the shock assault. Kalhavar unfolded the chair, set it over his body, and climbed onto it. He surveyed the crowd, cupped his hands around his mouth, and yelled. "VOTE! Or this can happen again." Quick Fix 75: The Tower's Pressure, Turn 5: Chairshot @THE DEMON was Executed! THE DEMON was a Servant! All of Negative_Null's votes have been erased. 7. That is Turn 4's ending. Please give me a few minutes for rollover. Oh, oops, I accidentally wrote T4 instead of T3 on that vote. Luckily that doesn't actually change anything.
  8. Wow, Not a lot of peolp have voted. As before, metioning those who are still voting for themself. Currently up for Execution, we have @THE DEMON and @Aster with 4 votes each. Tied for second, we have @KelsierApologist, The Unknown Order, @YEVAD, @Tinwatcher, and StrikerEZ. with 3 votes each. In third, we have @BigBadBagsworth, IcedOutPenguin, and ThatOneWorldhopper, with 2 votes each. Safe in fourth, we have @Negative_Null, Lord Spirit, and Kasimir with 1 vote each. The Turn ends in 45 minutes Proper Vote Count:
  9. Ah, I see. (Doesn't see) As far as my spreadsheet says, no? YEVAD has voted for himself on turns 1, 2, and 3, and No one else has voted on him. He's currently voting on himself right now, though I will likely 'erase' that vote to give the pinch Hitters a fighting chance. THE DEMON has 4, because The Unknown Order voted for him last cycle.
  10. Nope. ThatOneWorldHopper got erased, than BigBadBagsworth, now Lord Spirit.
  11. "I think that Teejay has been around for far too long. It's frustrating how much attention has been focused on him. He's either the one doing this too me, or he's a pawn they're using to hide. I want him gone." Midius cocked an eyebrow in the general direction of the ceiling. "You're willing to kill him if he's innocent, just to deprive your enemy of a resource?" "Yes." He nodded. "Well, as long as you're aware that's what you're doing, I'm fine with it." By the time they reached the Hall, the guards, and many of the suspects, already had Teejay isolated and surrounded. The crowd looked angry, though there were some who looked sad or confused at the far reaches of the room. Midius noted them, wondering if there was more than one Enemy at work here. "Teejay, unfortunately for you, there is quite a bit of evidence stacked against you in this strange case. So, you're going to be removed." The man glanced around, seeming more resigned than panicked. "I can't say I didn't expect this. Thought it was going to happen yesterday, but Roy got got instead. He was innocent you know? You do know that, right? Talinele and Roy were both innocents, murdered because of my experiments?" The room went silent. Midius blinked, and looked around very quickly, he hadn't been expecting a confession, and wasn't fully sure how the Sibling would react. Teejay opened his mouth to say more, but there was a cracking noise, a rumbling, a hum and hiss and roar all at once, and part of the ceiling extended. A dome, too small to provide cover, but large enough to block a splatter, slammed down from the ceiling onto the man. Part of it sheered off, and descended into the floor, leaving nothing but a redder patch where once had been a man. Quick Fix 75: The Tower's Pressure, Turn 4: Justice @|TJ| was Executed! 16. No? To be clear, when the Mercy shot gets used, it will be stated in Big Bold Letters. The elims erased the votes that BigBadBagsworth had cast. One for StrikerEZ in Cycle 1, and one for TheUnknownOrder in Cycle 2. To the best of my checking, TJ only had 4 votes, and RoyalBeeMage had 5. I hope I did not mess that up.
  17. (Disclaimer, the following purple text was written by @KaladinsSenseOfHumorSpren, and reflects only his suspicions at the time of his death.) Talinele stepped onto the execution platform. "Sibling?" he asked. Yes? "Will I be a Cognitive Shadow?" There was a pause. Yes. Talinele nodded. It was time to meet the various Invested entities lurking in Shadesmar. He addressed the crowd. Most would be citizens of Urithiru, but some... "I would like to thank you all for my time in Urithiru, short as it was. Those who voted for me had mostly valid reasons. When I meet you in Shadesmar, I might not hold it against you. However, if you were an enemy of Urithiru, then I'm sure retribution will come." Talinele locked eyes with Elkath. "Farewell, for now. See you in a land of beads." With that, a Shardbearer swung twice, chopped his head off. A head that was glowing with Stormlight. "Well, that is one thread snipped. Do you feel any better?" There was a long silence. Midius filled it with humming as he descended the stairs from the execution room back to the memory hall. "I don't. Would I know if my memories were restored? Would I feel it?" Midius sighed. "Probably not. When my memories were, removed, I never felt the change. I'm sorry Sibling, but those memories are probably gone forever." "I keep going through my life, over and over again, wondering if I've lost anything else. It's distracting, but, I don't want to miss something." "Introspection can be a terrible curse." Midius raised his hand to the jewelry he wore, in which many of his memories were stored. "I understand." "It's down to 15 original suspects again. Who have I forgotten Midius? Why does this keep happening?" "They must have figure out something about how you work. Who do you remember? I'll fill you in?" The Sibling listed off 15 names, including Talinele, now dead. "Interesting." Midius thought about what he had seen from Tim. "You forgot an energetic fellow. He sat on Teejay once." He filled them in on what he knew of the man. "Interesting." When they reached the memory hall, there was a commotion going on. a great many people were pointing fingers at Roy. A guard hurried over to Midius as soon as he entered. "Sir, in the last several minutes, a group of them have begun accusing Roy of secretly interacting with he gemstones here. They've accused him of sabotage." "Hmm. Sibling? Do you recall what he was doing?" "Yes, there's no void around him, but he was doing, something, that I don't understand when I realized that I forgot Tim. It might have been him." "Alright then, guards, take Roy into custody. We can imply it's for his own protection for now, while we investigate." Quick Fix 75: The Tower's Pressure, Turn 3: Introspection @RoyalBeeMage was Executed! RoyalBeeMage was a Citizen! All of BigBadBagsworth's Votes have been erased. 20. ooh, vintage . . . I was spectating during LG2. Of course, back then we didn't call them LG2 or LG 3, it was just SE2 or SE3. You young'uns with your crazy formats don't know how good you have it. Back then we played in 72 hour cycles and we liked it.
  21. Is that Royal Bee Mage you're voting on?
  22. That is the Devil whispering on your shoulder. Or maybe an angel. It's hard to tell sometimes, but I listened, and now I run these games. It's a slippery slope. Anyway.
