    I was so happy to get to 40 yrs old without wearing glasses because 20/20, and then a year later had to start wearing one when reading or working. I noticed that my clients take me more seriously though, when I wear them in a meeting. And video tutorials I make while wearing them seem to get more traction. I'm farsighted and everything three feet away is a bit blurry with glasses, but business comes first. Doctor said I should just wear progressives if I'm tired of removing them when I don't need them, or lowering them just to be able to see clearly. I find that I'm liking the action of holding one side of it to lower and peering at say, an employee trying to make excuses. It's very intimidating and appeals to my slightly bossy side. Also sexy librarian feels. Can't do that without glasses.

    First time listening to Shardcast in a looong time (6 yrs), and I must say, @Chaos, you have changed for the better. Not that you were bad before, but this is engaging! This is such a fun episode. Cheers to all of you who made it. Love @Comatose's arguments and @Greywatch's too.

    You'd be right at home where I am. I have no intention of living in another country, but rather in a different island in my country. We have over 7000 islands so there's lots to choose from. I've traveled everywhere and I still believe the Philippine islands are the best. Low cost of living, services are cheap, food is amazing, people are a happy race. I still live in the city but will definitely retire in an island somewhere here.

    I'm happy this tradition is still alive. I used to RP (might still) as the Mistress of the Wafflesworn kitchen here and spiked my waffles with Wafflerasium all the time. Made for interesting experiments many years ago. I'm thinking it must've been @Voidus that started offering these cookies in the Dark Alley, where the Alleyverse began. Secret spiking is so good. I don't have to bloody my white clothes.

    I came looking for my Waffesworn as soon as I got back here after my 6-yr slumber. Looks like they're mostly dispersed but a Waffle club has formed. I am back children, the original Mistress of the Wafflesworn. I have dedicated some waffle recipes to notable people in the shard and would like to do the same for this club. I am shocked at the number of pancake posts overrunning this place and we of the waffle must do something about it. Add me to the PM. Let's strategize.

    Thanks for the welcome! I literally went cold turkey 6 years ago and didn't even lurk. A true test of self-control. I'm happy to know that folks here are still up to the same shenanigans. Waffles are still relevant. The DA exploded into its own Alleyverse. Newcago is gone (yay). The site changed but everything else remains the same. Theories and RPs galore. And you, persist.

    None of them would like to be called a Shardmate. That's what makes them palatable to me. Are they still here? @skaa and @Kobold King prolly still are. @Voidus?The rest? Storm knows. @Quiver would not be. My nemesis @Left is nowhere to be found. That saddens me.

    I left this forum 6 years ago, and now find that the forum has changed much in my absence. I don't know who's still here from the people I used to interact with, except of course @Chaos, who forever rules. I feel the need to introduce myself again. This place is still a strange and wonderful haven. Hi everyone. My name is Quitecontrary, former Mistress of the Wafflesworn Kitchens (covered with dust now, I suppose).I wonder who's been feeding y'all? I don't theorize and I'm just here to revel in other people's genius. I love all of Brandon's books. Happy to be back and spiking.

    Don't mistake me. I like MLP and I like Quiver, but seeing MLP memes all over the place put me off going back to the Social Guilds section.
