  1. Well, I have to say I'm not happy I was right. We have to assume that she knew what roles everyone had (unless someone decided not to PM it to Peng when they snapped or whatever). The fact that her attacks took out all of our most important Mistings other than Peng is more evidence of that. Now, as for what we are to do about that- I have no idea.
  2. I've thought about basically giving Bloodmaker's the Thug's power- the ability to survive one attack, and then changing the thug to the same power as the Hunter role in Werewolves: "At the time of your death, you may immediately kill one other player." Basically, it lets you take someone out with you.
  3. Herwynbe crawled out of his hiding space behind the bar when the light of dawn started peeking through the windows. He had stayed at the bar to help watch for the Tineye, and because, admittedly, he was too afraid to face Lady Cessie and her minions. He hadn't expected them to come back here. As soon as he had heard the commotion he had ducked behind the bar and stayed there for hours, too afraid to come out. He was anything but a warrior, and certainly no match for allomancers or inquisitors. Nervously he crept to the back room to find Master Dyring and Lord Peng, both dead. Herwynbe slumped, weighed down by the guilt he felt at being so weak and cowardly. If only I had been... Stronger, braver, anything! If only- The figure in the bed coughed, gasping in a ragged breath. "Lord Peng!" Herwynbe cried out, jumping to his feet. The Mistborn was alive, but pale, and his breath was ragged and shallow. Herwynbe ran forward, pouring some pewter flakes into a cup of water and holding it up for Master Peng to drink. No, I may not be a warrior, but I can still aid those who are.
  4. I just saw this post, and was reading through it to see if I came across any interesting tidbits, and then I read this: And I realized- Hey! That was me! I asked that question! This was the first signing I went to- I believe it was for the Emperor's soul release at Sam Wellers. I had learned about Hoid a few months before, and I don't think I had even heard about 17th Shard (the website) yet. So I don't know if that question even made any sort of impact at the time or if all the Sharders in the audience just rolled their eyes and groaned at the newbie question, but well, there you go (of course now we know that he uses feruchemy, has some lerasium, Breaths, the moon scepter, and can Lightweave and who knows what else).
  5. Plus, she still has the power to vote. Not that anyone is likely to join her if she starts voting for someone. However, if most of us start voting for one person and she adds her vote to it as well... we just don't want to have to deal with those mind games.
  6. Herwynbe knelt in place as the crew clambered out of the inn, chasing after the inquisitor. After Lady Cessie. He still couldn't believe it. He had been with her for nearly her entire life. How had this happened? His thoughts were interrupted as someone thumped a foaming mug down on the table next to him. It was Master Dyring. The bar appeared to be empty save for the two of them. "It looks like it's you and me," Dyring said, grim and resolute, "We'll catch that blasted Tineye, this time for sure." Herwynbe hesitated- he should be out there with the others, searching for Lady Cessie. He had barely left her side the past few weeks, he knew the places she had visited, people she had spoken to. He probably had the best chance of tracking her down. But he couldn't bring himself to do it. "Very well," he said to Master Dyring, accepting the mug and taking a swig from it. This is all roleplaying of course. Go get her guys! Down with the Inquisitor!
  7. While I am eager to read the writeup, I think that in the interest of fairness we should wait until the actual end of the day for it. I would hate for even one person to get upset because the early ending messed up their plans or something, just so the rest of us can get our Mistborn Elimination fix a few hours early.
  8. Herwynbe came in from the kitchen, carrying a tray that held a pitcher of water, a goblet, and a pouch full of pewter dust. He walked slowly across the room to Dyring and set the tray down next to him. He seemed not to notice the splotches of paint, despite never lifting his eyes from the floor. "My vote is cast for Lady Cessie " he said softly, barely loud enough for those nearby to hear.
  9. Herwynbe reeled with shock. Master Shiv was... innocent? It was the same nightmare with Master Shimbles happening all over again. Slowly, he swiveled his head to look at Lady Cessie, who was sitting in her customary seat while he stood nearby. She turned and met his gaze. His gut twisted horribly at what he saw in her eyes. "My... Lady," He said, falling back on the formal etiquette that was such a huge part of his life, "I must... beg your leave to be excused." She nodded slowly, but didn't break his gaze. He withdrew, head still spinning. He had served Cessie's family for his whole life, he had never betrayed their trust, but he knew what he had to do now, and he would not shirk his responsibility. He made his way to where the Lord Mistborn stood shaking his head. "Lord Peng, I am at your disposal." Tomorrow would likely be the worst day of his life. He almost hoped he didn't live to see it. Almost.
  10. This is, regrettably, untrue, I think. For, Master Shiv, while we are taking the extra time to seek you or Lady Cessie, there will indeed be bloodshed. The inquisitor and his followers will not sit idly by while we go about confirming our suspicions, and we can be assured that whosoever they target will be someone that we do not wish to die. Rest assured, Master Shiv, that this possibility has not escaped the notice of anyone here. We still do not know all of the powers that are possessed by the inquisitor. However, given what we do know, it is most likely that you are indeed the guilty party. Let me be the one to remind you that the one time that we as a group did not follow the bandwagon possibility, indeed, the time when I, and several others, decided to go against the wishes of Lord Peng and his followers, was a colossal failure, as I myself well know. It is a fallacy to assume that because one strategy has not worked before that it will not work the next time, I think.
  11. Thanks everyone! Glad you like them!
  12. @Maill: No. If a misting gets spiked they lose their original power, whether or not they gain a new one. The only powers the spiked can have right now are Coinshot, lurcher, or seeker.
  13. As you direct, Lord Peng. My vote is cast for Master Shiv (I never did like the way he looked at Lady Cessie). Also: Barty- I can't help but notice that this is the first time you've accused someone before the mistborn did, and the first time you accused someone that the mistborn hasn't voiced suspicions on. I'm watching you too.
  14. If the inquisitor DID spike someone, then it means that now that he has helpers they can spike someone and kill someone in the same night. This worries me.
  15. @Barty: my question is, why does it matter to the group who has and hasn't told Peng? Peng knows who hasn't told him, and can hit them up with a PM or call them out to the group accordingly. I don't see much reason to suspect people based on whether they have told Peng or not because the inquisitor is at least as likely to lie about his role as he is to withhold it. EDIT: But, in case there is a good reason and I'm just not seeing it, Herwynbe has told Peng his role.
  16. Honestly? I think Roban is the rioter. I think his vocal campaign against me is a front while he riots other people the way he wants them to go. He was a little too quick to announce that he had been soothed last time. Of course I could be totally wrong about that. My biggest suspicion from the beginning of the game was Kukri, and that hasn't changed. I've discussed this, and other people, extensively with Peng in PMs. I hesitated to bring it up too strongly because I turned out to be horribly horribly wrong about Shimble, and that mistake has already painted a big target on my back. I don't suspect him enough to vote for him unless Peng does first, though (that can be said about anyone at this point). Oh and to all those who think I may be the inquisitor. I'm sorry happy to inform you that I am not. If you don't believe me, ask Peng.
  17. Oh duh, why did we not think of this early? The perfect candidates for the bad guys in a Sel-based games? The Jeskeri Mysteries Cult! pretty much all we know about them is that they sneak around, hidden amongst society, and secretly kidnap and sacrifice people as part of their rituals. EDIT: As part of their rituals to petition the death of others.
  18. I have wondered the same thing (about Uber-Tin). It wouldn't even have to be a write up of everyone's PMs. Getting to peek at 1 person's PMs (Pengs) would be enough.
  19. Herwynbe saw the bloody hook hanging in front of the bar, and the growing crowd, and his heart dropped. By the forgotten gods! not again... He approached with trepidation. (A short time later) Herwynbe sat alone, his drink barely touched. He had tried to console Dyring about the messages scrawled on the bar and the wall, but at Dyring's angry glare Herwynbe quickly retreated to the end of the bar, where he sat now. "First a Lurcher, then a Seeker" He muttered for anyone who cared to listen, "It is all too possibly, even likely, I fear, that the Inquisitor gave up his Uber-Bronze power because it no longer has need of it. If it already knows who among us has been gifted with the power of Allomancy..." He trailed off, leaving his last words hanging in the air. Noticing his drink, he picks it up and takes a long draw from it.
  20. A quick clarification: my point about the inquisitor creating Converts was that he can only create one convert per night, and only with spikes that were made the day before. So if we did kill another misting accidentally (which, or course, we did), then the inquisitor would have to waste one of his spikes. Whereas if we left Shimbles alive, after he had all but announced he was an important misting, the inquisitor would kill him in a day or two and then use his spike to create another convert. Also, excellent write-up, Wilson.
  21. How about this idea? Instead of people having "seon" as a role, a certain number of people (Elantrian, Drakhor, villager, or otherwise) have Seons given to them. People with Seons can send PMs to other players, and the recipient may respond with 1 and only 1 PM, at least until the Seon Owner PMs him or her again. (obviously, if two Seon Owners start PMing each other they may communicate freely, which is in line with how Seons work in the book) This is the ONLY way that Personal Messages may be sent (except for maybe the Dahkor- they ought to be able to PM each other during the night phase while picking their targets). A player may, if he wishes, signify someone to inherit his Seon when he dies (by PMing the Moderator). If he doesn't signify an heir, the Seon is lost with him. It would make for a very interesting game dynamic with such limited PMs.
  22. The events of the second day have truly, and deeply, humbled this simple servant. My vote shall continue to be cast along with that of Lord Peng, I think. If our esteemed leader, or the group as a whole, decides that I should pay for my mistakes with my life then I shall not offer up any resistance.
