LG25: Night Four - A Companion’s Death Talion didn’t wear the bright colors of Hallandren that day. He didn’t even wear the dull, muted colors of Idris. No, he wore his old packman’s gear and the metalminds that went along with it, and he waited. They found him, eventually. He’d always been somewhat strange. They’d thought he might be too strange to be Idrian, but… in a time of trouble, the town stuck to its own. And whatever Talion was, he wasn’t one of them. He met them with calmness and a smirk. So they killed him, even before he could transform into his true form. And he healed with his goldminds, and they killed him again, and again. And finally, Talion, Returned, Terrisman of the Peaks, died. Lopen was lynched! He was an Idrian Returned with 2 pieces of Awakened Clothing! Night Four has begun. You have 48 hours to send in your actions. Vote Count Lopen (6): Magestar, Dalinar, Assassin, Frozen Mint, Con, Bard Quicklinks Player List Announcement: Night 4 will last 48 hours instead of the usual 24.

LG25: Night Three - Rox Felix Rox stood before the town proudly. “My Breath was stolen, yes, but it was recovered! Or how would I be standing here, when drabs have obviously been systematically killed?” “Have they been? Only two have died,” said someone suspiciously. “Well, yes, but more are obviously going to die,” Rox said, waving a hand impatiently. “Just wait and see tonight.” “I don’t think Rox escaped the drab assassin,” another said. “I think he Returned.” Rox gasped in shock. “There’s no call for such needless accusations! I am not one of those Idrian Returned! You all know me. Would I join them?” “If you Returned. If you had no other choice.” “I would never. Not even if it meant my life.” “People will do a lot for their lives,” someone commented quietly. “But… you know what? Fine.” And then Rox suddenly shifted. From a small, scrawny-looking man, he grew, his chin becoming sharper, hair lengthening slightly and softening from greasy to merely sleek, eyes darkening, body changing proportion until he was a perfect specimen of manhood. “I am Luckstar the Fortunate,” he said richly. “Let’s see you lynch me now. I am your god.” Silence spread across the square. Then, a single voice was clearly heard. “You killed Ryth and Asher!” Then there was a roar of sound. And none of Rox’s handsomeness protected him from being torn to pieces by a dozen hands. Ecth was lynched! He was a Idrian Returned! Night Three has begun. You have 24 hours to send in your actions. LG25: Day Three - Boring Death and a Bunny Stanley smiled. He’d finally found a drab! He crept through the darkened house, stepping carefully over the debris strewn throughout. It seemed that the man hadn’t done much since his Breath had been taken. He slipped into the darkened room where Asher McClallen was sleeping. He didn’t even stir as Stanley drew a dagger and efficiently slit his throat. No life sense, of course. That made things easy. Almost too easy… He sighed. Where was the danger, the almost-getting-caught, the fun in slitting the throats of drabs in their sleep? Well, he had one more target for the night. Ryth. And it was the same routine as before. He didn’t even have to pick the lock on the door, because it was open. He found Ryth in his bed, sleeping soundly, and drew his dagger. Then he hesitated. Killing people for money was fine and all, but… “I’m bored,” he said aloud. Then he had a great idea, one more great than Alexander the Great. He was being paid to kill drabs. But no one had ever specified how they had to die. Ryth stirred in his bed, as Stanley looked around the room for something suitable. There, a sparkling silver blade. Perfect. He took the blade down carefully. Looked to be some kind of family heirloom, perhaps. Then he poked Ryth with it. “Hey, rise and shine.” Ryth sat up slowly, then saw the shining blade pointed at him and scrambled backwards out of his bed. “En garde!” Stanley said, and tossed Ryth his dagger. Ryth jumped away from it, and it stuck in the wall behind him. Ryth tried to pull it out for a moment, struggling to even get his hand to grip the handle, until Stanley got tired of waiting and beheaded him. “Incompetent fighters these days,” he muttered, and left, tossing the silver blade behind him. Who needed blades when you could kill in so much more interesting ways? But more importantly, who used silver blades when you could have gold? Little bunny Foo-foo, Hopping through the village Picking up Plathar Ku And bopping him on the head! DC died! He was a Hallandren Villager! Silverblade died! He was a Hallandren Villager! PK was killed by a Lifeless Rabbit! He was a Hallandren Villager! Breath was stolen! Day Three has begun. You have 48 hours to decide who to lynch. Quicklinks Player List

LG25: Night Two - Humming Darb sat quietly in the town square, humming to himself. He liked humming. It always made him feel safe, for some reason. So when a few townspeople walked up to him with murder in their eyes, he just kept humming. “Darb,” one said. “You have been accused of consorting with Idrian infiltrators and stealing Hallandren Breath against their owners’ wills. Do you have any defense?” Darb looked up, then back down again, and just kept humming. A good tune, this one. His mother had sung it to him, he remembered. “Very well,” another declared. “If you will not defend yourself, then you must truly be a traitor and must die.” The sword was drawn, and plunged towards Darb’s throat, and he just continued humming. Not much he could do otherwise, was there? Then, the sword stopped. It just froze in place. Then, all of his attackers’ faces began turning red, as their clothing constricted until they simply collapsed to the ground in a synchronized faint. The one with the sword collapsed atop one of his compatriots, unfortunately, who got a sword across the neck. Alalar, Darb rather thought his name was. Darb stared at them for a moment, then shrugged and kept humming. Araris was lynched! He was a Hallandren Villager! Night 2 has begun. You have 24 hours to send in your actions. Yay, RP! "What?" Elentari said. "I am at your service, Lady Elentari, as are my skills. I am your responsibility. I have found that I... cannot function well without someone to serve. While I am in your service (until your death or you wish me to leave), my actions are on your conscience. I apologize for not explaining. It has been a long time since I changed masters." "Uh... okay, then." I don't know how to deal with this... Why didn't anyone ever prepare me to deal with a psychopathic assassin at my command? "I guess I don't want you to kill anyone right now? Not until I figure out where the heck we are and what we're doing here." "It appears to be an arena of some kind," Saol remarked. "Beyond that, I have little idea what is expected, or how I came here." "I was having such an excellent cup of tea..." Elentari said, then sighed. "Well, then. Time to figure out what's going on here." She looked down at herself. "Not that I can make much of an impression in this state. I look a horrid mess." She sighed again, even more dramatically. "Nothing to be done, I suppose." She spotted a likely candidate not far away and began walking, then stopped, looking at Saol following her. "Best if you stay here, I think," she said apologetically. "Wouldn't want anyone getting the wrong idea." He bowed. "I will stay here until you return." "Thanks. I guess..." she said, with a last strange glance back at him. Then she forgot about him, and turned her attention towards the man she was about to flirt with.- 537 replies

Ah, something I forgot to mention. I will count the last vote made in red (because I mark votes as they appear in thread, not at the end of the day). As a corollary to that, if you retract a vote without making a new one, please retract in a new post, not just in the post in which you originally voted, because I will not see it there. I do mind. Because they don't. They die at the point when Drab death occurs in the order of actions. It is rather unclear; sorry about that.

Mid-Range Game 16: War of the (Cosmere) Worlds
Elbereth replied to Alvron's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Yeah, but... You're saying that we shouldn't kill Straw for something he always does, basically. I think Bugsy is perfectly valid in voting for him, since it shouldn't matter whether Straw usually does it or not. It's irritating whether he does it all the time or just this once, and if Bugsy wants to lynch him for that that's perfectly reasonable.- 537 replies

LG25: Day Two - Stillness The night was still again, as it had always been before recent days. No floorboards creaked in the middle of the night. No doors slipped open and shut. No daggers gleamed in the darkness. There was only a tiny flicker of color, in a tiny corner of the town, and then it was gone and the night was quiet again. But... all was not right. The night was silent, but it was no longer calm. Death had come to leave its mark, as it always did. And the deaths were not over. Somehow, every sleeping mind sensed that, and tossed and turned in dreams of darkness. Death had paused for a moment, the last frozen moment before the knife plunged down into an unsuspecting back. But it was returning, and soon enough the night would be filled with stifled screams. For now, though, there was only a slowly growing fear, and a stillness as fragile as glass. Breath was stolen! No one died! Day Two has begun. You have 48 hours to decide who to lynch. Quicklinks Player List

Mid-Range Game 16: War of the (Cosmere) Worlds
Elbereth replied to Alvron's topic in Sanderson Elimination
RP! I'll see if I can actually post after the LG25 turnover is over with. Elentari thumped onto the rocky ground. What? She'd been enjoying a nice quiet cup of afternoon tea between suitors, when suddenly she was here, wherever that was, being helped to her feet by a strange man. So, with nothing else to resort to, she fell back to her instincts. "Why, hello, sir," she said, as he lifted her to her feet. Strong, she noticed absently. Little too stern for my usual tastes, but you work with what you get. "Fancy meeting you here." He just blinked at her blankly. A slow one, I see. "And you are...?" "Saol." "Pleasure to meet you, Saol," she said, curtseying despite the fact that her dress had already been torn to tiny shreds by the horrid rocks she'd landed on. Where was she? "I'm Lady Elentari." "I would be pleased to serve you," Saol said, almost ritually. And here I thought he didn't have a romantic bone in his body. Seems he's just kind of odd about it. "Oh, how sweet of you!" Elentari found when she tried that Saol was the perfect height for looking up at him through her lashes. Excellent. Not often I meet a man tall enough for that. He nodded respectfully, seemingly unfazed by her eyelash-fluttering. Hmph. Then he bowed slightly, and asked, "Who is it your wish that I should kill?" "What?"- 537 replies

Mid-Range Game 16: War of the (Cosmere) Worlds
Elbereth replied to Alvron's topic in Sanderson Elimination
For an educated guess? (Given that Alv's just going to PAFO it, likely) All of the teams are somehow balanced with each other. Does this mean they each have the same numbers of the same roles? Not necessarily. Teams can be balanced more for protection, or kills, or information, etc. Plus, there's the potential independent roles to take into account, which means he could have one of the same kind of role on every team and just leave some roles out. So. It's balanced. Count on that at least. How it's balanced is an entirely different question. Also, note that I'm GMing a game right now, so I'll be quiet, but I will respond to PMs. I may or may not RP this game. We'll see.- 537 replies
