  1. Ellira slipped back inside the inn, glancing around. It looked like Joon had finally woken up from the dream honey, and was - thankfully - calling for new pants. She’d go back to him soon enough, as he was a useful meat-shield at the very least, but for now she walked in such a path that she nearly stumbled across Urskevan’s corpse, and sat down hard in a nearby chair when she saw it. She stared, unable to take her eyes off of it, and shaped her face into blank shock. She wished she could properly examine it, but there were too many prying eyes around. So all she could do was try to take in every detail possible from where she sat. Sorry, Rae. Ellira got tired of Joon following her around and being a nuisance. I fall asleep for fifteen hours and I come back to this? 7 posts by players and a single vote. I’m disappointed. Uh... Wilson, why withhold your vote? This is a QF, we need discussion with intent to lynch now, not after twelve hours or whatever. You’re playing a little less... assertively than I’d expect you to? Which could be just because your play style has changed in the literal years since I’ve played with you, but I haven’t got anything better at present. I can see your reasoning on Alv (and if anyone can catch him it’s probably you ) but haven’t gotten anything odd from him myself so far, so will be keeping a sharper eye out. Mildly disagreed about Elandera, though - I liked her responses to me, as they felt fairly village-y. @Devotary of Spontaneity, you’ve been very neutral and noncommittal so far (and very much pointing that out about yourself, which I’m not sure what to think of). Do you have any suspicions? What do you think of Wilson, Alv, me, or Elandera? @Arraenae, your summary of last turn is nice, but your suspicions would be nicer. Not going to lie, providing useful information without outlining your own suspicions is something I’ve seen elims do often enough to be suspicious of it. @STINK hi @xinoehp512 what were your thoughts on the Striker lynch? Do you think anyone’s suspicious as a result of last cycle? @Elandera I appreciate the vote, but am curious about your thoughts on anyone else - do you still have a weird tone read on me? What do you think of Wilson’s paranoia of Alv? And I’m bored and need to go sleep. Anyone not listed above, please respond to any of the questions above that you like. I didn’t really pick anyone for any particular reasons or suspicion (unless stated), I just want discussion to happen. Please. Signing off for the night, hopefully (unless insomnia, which is plausible >>), but should be back sometime before turnover. Please talk?
  2. I was wondering if you’d notice that you neglected to actually place a vote. Well. Let’s try this again...
  3. I mean, I hate to accuse myself, but I disagree somewhat. A, it’s cycle 1, tone is absolutely enough to be suspicious for. And B, I wouldn’t argue that the content is necessarily NAI - I was discussing a couple days ago with someone that NAI might be an overused term. At most I could see say it’s not alignment indicative yet - but if, say, Striker flips evil, it’s probably alignment indicative about me - or even if Tess or Itiah flips evil, you might want to look at Striker more closely for that. (Or not. I think that’d probably be a pretty flimsy argument, but still.) The fact that I am suspicious of Striker and have voted on him should be indicative at least a little bit? I don’t know if any of that ended up making sense, it’s still a little jumbled in my head. Basically I’m hesitant to write off conversations as NAI because I think all lynch discussions (unlike, say, discussions about strategies or mechanics) are at least a little bit alignment indicative / useful.
  4. I mean, the really stunning thing is that it feels like it’s gone on for ages, but we’re only actually on cycle 7. We’ve has LGs go up to fifteen cycles before. ...that had better not happen here.
  5. I mean, I was expecting someone to die. That would’ve helped.
  6. I would offer, but Ellira is unfortunately occupied - and even if she weren’t would not be offering the hug out of kindness. I think Asterion might be better off without her trying to use him. (Someone who hasn’t RPed yet, go hug Asterion)
  7. Ellira tilted her head, considering. She did want to keep an eye on the room - her orders were to observe and take note, not hide away in a bathroom with someone who’d just wet his pants. But the situation was growing more dangerous than anticipated. “We would have to- the bathroom is past- I don’t want to walk anywhere near that... body.” They could probably get there without walking past the body, but he wouldn’t know that, seeing as he’d seemingly never visited the Frozen Moon before. “Maybe... maybe just moving away further from the window would be good.” She’d picked a spot that had a good view of the room, but it was a bit too close to crossbow range for her liking. She picked up her hairpin that he’d given back to her, and proffered an unsteady hand to him. EDIT: Forgot to add the non RP stuff. @Elandera, do let me know if you figure out what seems off. Also, Alv, I love Asterion so much.
  8. The probability of it happening twice in a row is much smaller, yes, but again - the distributions are independent events. The probability of rolling a 20-sided dice and getting a 20 two times in a row is 1 in 400. But if you roll and get a 20 the first time, and pause before rolling the second time? The probability that you'll get a 20 again is still 1 in 20. The dice hasn't magically changed weight because it rolled a 20 last time. Yes, you did. Disagreed entirely. For the same reason that if Tess had seen your post earlier than I had, she would've disagreed with it for exactly the same reasons I did. Tess is significantly too good for that comment to be alignment indicative, in my opinion. And my vote is staying on you, because while I don't think the original comment was especially indicative, I haven't liked your responses since. Sorry. EDIT: @Arraenae RP?
  9. I know exactly what you’re talking about and have full confidence that Kas did not repeat that mistake. But yes, essentially agreed - not only because it could be problematic, but because I don’t think it even contains any actual useful information. Thus, my vote.
  10. Totally forgot Stick wasn’t playing, whoops. And... I see what you’re saying, but the distributions of each game are independent events. You can’t use one to infer information about the other. If I flip a coin twice and the first is heads, the fact that two heads is a lower likelihood overall in the set of combinations of two coin flips does not mean that my second flip is less likely to be heads. Does that make sense? It was an example, clearly.
  11. Ellira stared at Joon, wide-eyed. “Didn’t you see what they just did to that poor woman? If we go outside, we’ll be killed.” Someone’s out of his depth, apparently. Just my luck. She began sniffling. “Why would they want to kill us? I haven’t done anything wrong!” Maybe her crying trigger his protective instincts enough to snap out of his shock. I... hate to do this again, but Wilson Striker. What makes you think it’s any less probable that Tess or Itiah is evil? Why didn’t you include Stick in that list? Why would Kas deliberately pick a team which is composed of entirely separate members instead of letting RNG run its course? I can see saying that all three aren’t evil together, but if the new evil team happened to include Tess, I don’t see why Kas would throw that out.
  12. “It’s perfectly safe, I’m sure-” Ellira was cut off by a sudden piercing shriek. Ellira gasped at Urskevan’s body as they dragged it out, staring at it as if she couldn’t take her eyes off of it, and used the time to examine the body. Someone was making quite the statement, with those feathers. Then she turned back to Joon, wide-eyed. “That isn’t- I can’t- he’s dead, isn’t he? He’s been murdered. How could-” she started breathing more quickly, looking to be on the edge of panic. When more crossbow bolts flew in at Herat, she shrieked. That’ll make things a tad trickier, she thought. Alright, then. Let’s play. @Arraenae Checking in to RP (obviously) and note that discussion today (and I mean lynch discussion, not “hey let’s talk about the rule change for fifteen hours”) is important and I’m worried about it lagging since we’ve already had a D1. I’ll hopefully be back in a few hours to offer actually useful thoughts when people have posted anything other than RP, but for now... Wilson. Welcome back.
  13. Ellira laughed brightly at that. “And I like a guy who’s willing to go to some effort to find a girl he likes,” she tossed back. “And venture into a bit of danger, even.” She sipped her tea. “Not that I’ve ever found it that dangerous, truly. The clientele tends to be quite polite, in fact, and their dress at least seems high class enough. I’m sure it’s safe here, don’t worry.” She gave him a naive, reassuring smile. Her mind raced behind her smile. Had he really only been looking for her because she was pretty, or was there further reason? Had he known about his merchant friend’s murder and somehow suspected her - maybe because of the hairpin, even? She cursed herself inwardly for being so careless as to lose that. And she’d been careful; he’d have had to do more than just a bit of asking to find her. She was pretty, but to be so doggedly pursued? He had to have other motivations. Well. Hopefully he didn’t have any idea how dangerous she truly was. She’d insist on staying to watch the meeting, first, and then go home with him and kill him if necessary. A pity, if so, because in other circumstances he’d be such fun to seduce, but loose ends had to be tied. She’d learned that the hard way.
  14. “Oh, how thoughtful of you!” Ellira exclaimed, taking the hairpin back. He’s lucky it wasn’t one of the poisoned ones. “And no, I haven’t had the pleasure,” she lied. “Thank you so much for suggesting it!” She took a sip, and smiled brightly. “Why, this is lovely! Such a distinctive flavor.” She leaned closer. “But a little lost hairpin couldn’t really have brought you all this way looking for me. Could it?” He had just walked brazenly into a clandestine conspiratorial meeting, not to mention handed back a hairpin sharpened into a nearly-unmistakable weapon. You didn’t do that unless you knew exactly what you were doing, or were an idiot. She still wasn’t quite sure which camp Joon fit in.
  15. The young man slid into the seat across from her with a surprisingly easy grin. No mask, seemingly no worries about coming to a meeting which could result in his death. Interesting. “Two cups of chilled black tea, added honey if you have any," he told the server she’d been speaking to. Then he looked at her. "Hey. I've seen you a few times before. Ellira, isn't it? I'm Joon." He wore a fashionable suit and new shoes that added to his already moderate height. That, combined with the easy smile he wore, gave him a look that could and likely frequently did make girls swoon. She had seen him around before - he had been some acquaintance of the merchant who she’d killed not long ago. “And what brings you here, Joon?” she asked coyly. His eyes were already trailing over her; that should make getting information from him easy. Perhaps if her master allowed it, and he wasn’t anyone important, she’d even get to take him home with her. Having someone to toy with for a while would be entertaining.
  16. Wait, you action scanned Rath? That's... kind of hilarious, honestly.
  17. My only hesitation is that if we left the cycle open another day Hats might be more likely to check in? But I personally have no objection if you’re fine with that, it’s just somewhat a balance consideration (especially if she’s evil).
  18. I mean, I wasn’t the handler (though I’m flattered that you both thought I might be, and pleased for calling out Tess even if I suspect it wasn’t actually on especially alignment indicative grounds), but I’m not gonna deny I might’ve done that had I been. Also, Ellira is most definitely signing back up! I will have significantly less time to devote - so don’t expect same the amount of activity as I had yesterday - but I’ll certainly still be around. And Tess, thank you for not wanting to kill me because I wanted to RP! I appreciate that very much.
  19. I can’t articulate why, but this post reads as more off to me than any of your others thus far. It’s a little too... strong? I might have argued that seeming to know more than they should is a reasonable basis for suspicion, but it still needs to be something used very carefully so we don’t accidentally out the RS. Oh, sorry! Absolutely no worries. I’m kicking myself a little for not seeing that second angle, especially as (from what I recall) it’s very characteristic of you. Still not sure I agree that (beyond being controversial to suggest) it’s a useful topic of discussion, but consider my suspicion significantly reduced (if not abated). Especially as no one’s stepped in to defend you but multiple to mention being a little suspicious, which feels like what elims who would really quite like to lynch village!Tess might do. Given both that and Striker’s latest post, I’m planning on staying on him for the moment. I should be around again before turnover, but can’t promise (given I shouldn’t really be awake now, and thus far tonight I’ve managed 3.5 hours of actual sleep...). So, see you all later, one way or another.
  20. So, I may have just talked myself into suspecting Tess. I’m not voting for him now, but might switch in the morning depending on what happens overnight. (Please talk, people?) Reasoning: two things. That suggested discussion topic... it not only could make the Reform Spy easier to identify through their response (not likely but possible), but also it isn’t useful. I can see it for sparking some kind of discussion just to get things going (and do understand that that’s where you’re coming from), but also can’t help but feel that it distracts from proper analysis because it provides a way for everyone to post and be active without commenting on anyone else - no suspicions, no trusts. Talking about how you’d play the Reform Spy is far less likely to be useful to analyze later, compared to you actually talking about other people. So it causes the illusion of activity for you (and probably more usefully your teammates; I have no doubt you’ll start suspecting people very shortly ) without generating alignment indicative discussion. Honestly, I’m not completely convinced that getting people to respond to your question instead of saying nothing or little is in any way better. So. @DeTess, I’m interested to hear your response. Also, I realized I never responded to this: Understood, but I’d also point out that the elims will also seem to know too much, and we have no way of distinguishing them. And it isn’t only bussing - I’m also talking about things like Striker saying “3 elims” in response to your “3-4” despite claiming to be in a rush. If this is actually a slip (which in fairness isn’t super likely), it could as easily be a RS slip as an elim one. I know that protecting the Spy is important, but I’m hesitant to let that stand in the way of a method for catching eliminators.
  21. Clearly. @xinoehp512 @ILuvHats Would you mind voting on Rath, please? He’s evil and out to kill us all.
  22. So make stuff up! You're creative, you'll be fine. And besides, it's revenge for being overly paranoid about Ellira. I... not gonna lie, that vote doesn't make me any less suspicious. But I'm glad you did it!
