  1. Yup. I did literally the exact same thing at my ward's trunk-or-treat. Pretty much the same reaction too, down to someone calling me a dementor. Except, I have a friend who reads Sanderson, and I met this one person who recognized me. I got overly excited. She said she had read everything Sanderson wrote and loved Mistborn. In an attempt to prove my extreme nerdiness (unfortunately in front of my friend) I asked her, "Well have you read Infinity Blade?" She hadn't. *podman36 used Nerdiness on stranger. It was super effective!*
  2. I doubt anyone will be able to guess what the mystery project is if he's
  3. When you make your video game username Aon Eda. It fills me with such joy.
  4. I hear what you’re saying, but I have to disagree in favor of my theory a little bit. According to what you’re saying, if the same rules apply to compounding, there would be no compounding. You said that a metalmind could only hold an attribute generated by Allomancy if Feruchemy could naturally hold that attribute. But if you reverse that statement to: a metal can only generate power that is stored by Feruchemy if Allomancy can naturally generate that power. With compounding, that’s not true. There are no metals you can naturally burn to get health, but with Feruchemy it creates a new metal. What I’m suggesting is that when you burn a metal, it creates a new possible power that can be stored in that metal, just as storing an attribute creates a new power, a new metal, that can be burned. Basically my theory is reverse compounding. You say it wouldn’t work because Feruchemy needs to be able to already store that attribute, but that’s not how F-Compounding works, so why would it be that way for A-Compounding. Correct me if I’m wrong or if you see any major obvious flaws with my theory and defense of it.
  5. I can never tell if what I'm thinking has already been thought, posted, or if it's just plain stupid on my part. I seem to remember reading a WoB that said that, as you can enhance Feruchemy with Allomancy, i.e. compounding, you can also enhance your Allomancy with Feruchemy. What I'm wondering if it is possible to, as the title suggests, store Allomantic power into Feruchemy. For instance, could you burn pewter and store the A-Pewter's balance and strength into a metalmind? Could you tap it while burning more pewter? Could you eat that metalmind and then compound A-Pewter instead of F-Pewter? Now, Feruchemy works by storing internal attributes. A-Pewter enhances internal attributes, so that would make sense for you to be able to mix those a little bit. I doubt what I say next is possible, but I might as well put it out there. Could you, assuming everything else I've said is true and possible, store an external metal like A-Steel or A-Iron in the same way you would do with the A-Pewter? I want to hear your guys's(?"guys's"?) thoughts on this since I, like I believe most avid Sanderfans are, am slightly (or not so slightly) insane. Thanks for your feedback beforehand!
  6. That sounds so perfect. When you convince your parents to get you a flight to Utah a week ahead of the Thanksgiving trip so you can go to the opening night signing with your uncle and cousins. I'm so excited!
  7. Oh, and I would recommend not eating those cookies. Rule of thumb on the Shard- never accept baked goods.
  8. When you are at a Wednesday activity and you encourage your friend to cover his head with aluminum foil, telling him it will protect him from emotional Allomancy. You then proceed to bang two PVC pipes you found together like a Smoker. You then run around the whole church building banging your PVC pipes together at every person to find out if any were secretly Tineyes. Then you consider using the PVC pipes to test for Pewterarms, if only briefly. You are then proud of yourself for finally spelling Numuhukumakiaki'aialunimor correctly. I've been able to pronounce it for a while, but I couldn't spell it until now. Yesterday was fun! Nobody understood anything I was doing. I know no Sanderfans as nerdy about it as me. My best friend reads all Sanderson's books, but he's not a Sanderfan. I had to remind him what a Tineye was, etc. The friend who wore aluminum foil on his head has never read Sanderson in his life. In a way, that only makes yesterday even better.
  9. Coinshot. Sweet.
  10. I hate you. Have an upvote!
  11. Ahhh. That makes much more sense. Thanks for clearing that up.
  12. The Rithmatist isn't Cosmere. I have no idea what you mean when you say it was the setting for one of the stories in Arcanum Unbounded. Maybe you could tell me what story you're thinking of? Regardless, The Rithamatist is not Cosmere.
  13. Ummm... Vin did burn gold. In FE.
  14. And baywraps. Rolls of thin flat bread stuffed with boiled barley and vegetables.
  15. Steel/steel is still a twinborn. Being a twinborn and being able to compound aren't exclusive. Anyway, that's tough. For everyday life, I doubt I would need anything combat oriented like iron or steel (A). Still, steel would still be pretty cool. It would be awesome to be a Soother or Rioter, and to be able to be a bronze Ferring. No more alarms for me! Eh, I'm leaning towards just being a Chromium compounder. That would be pretty sweet.
  16. We do know who. I'm not exactly sure who, but I am sure that I saw someone mention it somewhere on the Shard. I think the letters were between Hoid and Frost. But I am also pretty sure that the letters were Frost to Hoid. Hopefully someone will come along soon and correct me as needed!
  17. That is literally the greatest thing. Ever.
  18. When you read Riorden and your first thought is, "Uhh, I think you mispelled Raoden."
  19. Nicely done! Bravo! I'm actually pretty confident there are one or two short stories in anthologies that I haven't read. Not sure though.
  20. Well, yah, but one might lead to the other. I know, might is the word that hurts right now, but if a ferring tapped enough don't you think it's possible they might be able to become fearless? Or, at the very least, have so much determination that they sort of don't have room for any other emotions? Either way, it seems this is a dead theory. However, it just occurred to me- a Mistborn gives a duralumin Push on your fear right before you strike. That might work.
  21. I didn't know if I should put this in Reckoners or Mistborn, so I put it here. Do you think an electron Ferring could kill/harm Steelheart?
