  1. I didn't say anything about the 5th Ideal?
  2. My point is that not having seen her use it before then isn't really an argument for or against. Absence of proof isn't proof of absence.
  3. Being attacked by the Ghostbloods on the ship was months ago, and she's been to figurative Damnation and back, had all her fears realized and spent hours in Hoid's company. There's plenty of time there for her to have sworn the 4th Ideal and practiced with her Plate by the time of the Battle. She also didn't look surprised or amazed or anything when Adolin saw her. She looked completely calm and collected.
  4. The fact that we see the fading glowing lines around Jasnah during the battle. Pretty sure that is her dismissing her Plate, given that she'd just thrown someone across a building the second before. Having Plate would mean that she was already past the 4th Ideal. Being competent in using it would mean that she's had it for a while.
  5. I just copied and pasted, we just happen to be in the same groups haha
  6. We're all so stuck it's not even funny. Oh wait, it is...
  7. I'll just say here too, that I'm sure Jasnah swore at least her 4th Ideal long before the Battle of Thaylen City, and is in full command of her Shardplate by then.
  8. Yeah. We even have a WoB now that says the Heralds' bodies are created for them when they respawn. Blew me away, for sure.
  9. I don't think their memories disappear. They seem to remember their pasts pretty well. Ash refers to Adonalsium, remembers Hoid, and is still in love with Taln. Kalak remembers Jezrien and Taln's histories.
  10. The only ones I can think of were Lightsong and Kelsier, and
  11. I think amazing technicolor vampires and silvery zombies are really hawt!
  12. Reason why Shallan should be in the next book: https://reddit.com/r/Stormlight_Archive/comments/aqhp5n/my_ptsd_journey_and_shallan/
  13. I remember a passage in the books about how the Heralds were supposed to go back together, to support each other, to hide, fight, be captured, and tortured. Ah, found it. It was something the Stormfather said. So it seems like they had to be relatively close to each other? There's also the bit from Khriss in the Ars Arcanum saying the third planet was the one populated by sapient Splinters.
  14. I don't want to see a preggers Shallan. Like, really really really really don't want to see it.
  15. Turtles are cool
  16. Fully agree:
  17. Stormlight pre-Shattering is probably not exactly the same as it is now. However, some version of it has to have existed pre-Shattering, otherwise half of Rosharan ecology wouldn't have evolved. Greatshells depend on stormlight and highstorms and spren to survive, as do chulls, skyeels, and who knows what else.
  18. It's theoretically possible for someone to bond multiple spren, but it's unlikely, because it'd be hard to keep all sets of Oaths, and the spren are likely to be possessive.
  19. Alethi are based on a lot of Middle Eastern to Eastern cultural ideas. The safehand thing is inspired by Korea, the pronunciation is very Hebrew, and the features are a mix of Asian and Middle Eastern.
  20. I don't think stormlight is only Honor's investiture. It makes plants grow, so there should be at least some Cultivation there.
  21. She was not, as far as we know. She was killed off in space.

  23. Vasher renamed Nightblood after seeing what he could do at the Battle of Twilight Falls. As for a Divine Breath, probably not.
