  1. It has, but no worries. Here's the thread:
  2. Have I mentioned how much I adore Dalinar? Lots of people go all melty over Adolin or Kaladin. I prefer Dalinar. He's storming awesome!
  3. I could see it. He'd need some gray, is all. Though...we should probably make this a separate thread and stop hijacking. I think there's a movie thread already somewhere... But I did find the perfect Sadeas...
  4. Yeah the age worries me for John Cho. He's adorable but Adolin is only about 27 (earth years)? I don't know very many younger Asian actors, though so I'm a bit stymied there. Chow Yun Fat actually looks a lot like how I imagine Alethi. The hair and eyes (shape, not color) and skin tone are perfect.
  5. I could see him playing a bridgeman, yeah. I think he looks a bit too beefed up to be Lopen (isn't Lopen skinny?), but Skar or one of the others would totally work.
  6. There are a goodly number of Asians with tanned skin. Actually I'm one of them. I could probably cosplay as Navani without too much trouble (other than being short, and not as beautiful). I have a lot of cousins who would probably look Alethi, as well. Jason Scott Lee has matured rather nicely, for instance. Add a little make up and I could see Choi Siwon as Kaladin (The eyes) John Cho would make an adorable Adolin Oh oh better idea. Chow Yun Fat as Dalinar!
  7. I don't think he'll keep thinking T is trustworthy. He might *pretend* so in order to keep tabs on him, but I hope he's learned that he can wrong in how he sees people who appear honorable. Particularly influential lighteyes *coughAMARAMcough*.
  8. Yeah I hope so too. Actually, what I'm hoping for is a SERIOUS Mr. T denoument. Szeth telling Dalinar and Kaladin about T's Diagram, his being behind the assassinations, the killings he hides in his hospitals. I seriously want to see that.
  9. Wasn't Szeth flying around keeping the Fused away from Dalinar already? Either way, I always figured it was because they all trust Dalinar. And Dalinar, having just united the Cognitive, Physical, and Spiritual Realm, probably has a good idea of who can and can't be trusted.
  10. I like different parts of each book, so it's really hard for me to say. Dalinar is my favorite character, so I'd guess Oathbringer, with it's "You cannot have my pain!" wins by a hair.
  11. That's good to know. So...chances are Roshar wouldn't be THAT large...maybe closer to North America than Eurasia? I'm wildly guessing here. But if so, it's quite possible that from Uritihiru, which is hugely high up, you can reach just about every corner of Roshar. Urithiru could become the new Tashikk!
  12. Some great spotting in this thread
  13. Do we know how wide the continent of Roshar is, and whether the planet is about the same diameter as ours? Because radio waves would be limited by the curvature of the planet. CB waves (I think) can bounce a bit, but eventually they'd go off into space or run out of energy or run into a mountain range. I was LITERALLY just talking about this last night! I think that the Dawncities, or at least, the cities that follow a cymatic pattern, such as Kholinar, Thaylen City, etc, were probably made by Lightweavers in concert with either Stonewards or Dustbringers. Possibly Urithiru, as well, though not with Lightweavers and cymatics, since it doesn't follow a pattern. If Lightweavers can truly control just about all aspects of electromagnetism, ya'll are thinking too big. Think quality, or rather, control over brute force. Our brains use electricity. Mess with that just a little and cause seizures. Block nerve signals and cause loss of sensation or even vision and hearing. Overload the sensory neurons and cause blackouts. Lots of tiny uses of finely pinpointed power.
  14. I saw it as an "F U" as well. Hail, Great Leader! Look what I, once your friend, have done to one under your protection! I salute you!
  15. But see, if he were Passion, then Kaladin ought to also be a prime candidate, given the intensity of his emotions. But, Kaladin couldn't manage a good, persistent hate, even for Elhokar or himself.
  16. Also, Kaladin is just about the most passionate person we've seen so far, with a lot of intense emotions. But Odium can't seem to lay a finger on him.
  17. Scadrial and it's system is supposed to be the closest parallel to Earth and Sol.
  18. I think it happens to a lot of people a lot
  19. I mentioned that up above
  20. I don't think he underestimated her, he just didn't have all the facts.
  21. But why would she talk about humidity, then switch to plants, then to hoping for a solution to humidity? It's not a logical flow. Anyway, Peter already ruled, so it doesn't matter. Dropping the subject now
  22. He didn't realize she got Stormlight from food instead of spheres.
  23. Yes, that's what I'm saying. So what does verdant plant growth have to do with that (what she has to put up with).
  24. I keep mentioning this, and pointing out how Ruin used the same formula, but...
