  1. I bolded the part that stuck out to me, because what if this ends up having something to do with Adolin and his killing of Sadeas?
  2. Who says the Contest even happens? What if something cataclysmic happens that keeps the Contest from even occurring?
  3. Its basically a tie between Syl and Pattern for me, but I chose Pattern because........ "NO MATING!!!!"
  4. Is Brandons plan to still take a significant break between book 5 and 6 to write the next Mistborn trilogy ? If so, we are looking at probably 10 years before book 6 right?
  5. I think we could make a case for just about anyone dying. I've come to peace with not knowing and being ready for anyone to die. I hope no one does lol
  6. This all makes sense! Thanks for the responses!
  7. Maybe this has been discussed before, but I have been wondering about this for a while. After each Desolation , the Fused and Heralds go back to Damnation, and the humans prevail and rebuild civilization . What happens to the surviving singers? Do they just retreat to some remote area and regroup for the next Desolation ? You would think that after "ending" a Desolation you wouldnt just leave the enemy to go regroup for the next one in a few hundred years?
  8. I'm leaning towards Aux not being dead dead. I think he is likely dead in the way Maya was dead. If Aux was dead dead, I find it highly unlikely he would remain in the physical world as Blade/Armor that can be summoned (We have seen other spren outright permanently killed and they don't leave a body ( blade) behind). Maybe he would leave his body behind as a permanent blade or armor. The fact that he can be summoned and dismissed leads me to believe he still exists in Shadesmar as something like a deadeye like Maya. It would make sense that Siz can't hear him/talk with him , just like Shardbearers can't hear the dead spren of their blades. I could totally be wrong about this. Maybe Brandon has a mechanism or explanation for how a permanently dead ( non-deadeye) spren could leave a body behind that can be summoned/dismiss and be bonded to someone.
  9. Excellent post Toaster
  10. I never realized this until you mentioned it. It makes sense. It would explain the rest of the Herald's madness as well, although Nin was watching and I'm not sure he had any kind of lucidity. I'm not sure, but has it been agreed that the Heralds were Invested with Honors power? Maybe Honor's death had the side effect of driving the Heralds insane, much like Tanavast was going mad as he died.
  11. It makes perfect sense to me. What is confusing of the Stormfathers use of the word spren. It would make sense that the Fused are the cognitive shadows of the ancient Listeners, and I would assume thats what the Stormfather means. Someone needs to ask BS to clarify lol
  12. Whats fascinating and confusing about this, is the Stormfather called them the "Spren of Parshmen long dead" . Is the Stormfather using the word spren as an equivalent to soul? Because if not, then he is implying that the Voidbringers arent Parshmen descendants, but rather the spren that were bonded to the Parshmen.
  13. So the Stormfather refers to the Voidbringers as "Spren of Parshmen long dead" How is he using the word "Spren" Does he mean actual Spren? Or does he mean soul/cognitive shadow? Because cognitive shadow seems to be the only way it makes sense
  14. I think Mr T's whole plan is fundamentally flawed and simply cannot work. His entire Diagram/plan revolves around him ultimately being in charge and dealing/making a deal with Odium. The idea that he is capable of this( not just dealing with Odium, but managing the coalition ) is simply incomprehensible. We have a man that half the time barely has the combined cognitive ability of a cucumber, and he is somehow the only one who is able to see the world thru this mess? It just doesnt make sense on a fundamental level. It would be more believable if the Diagram has him as senior advisor or helping someone with faculties navigate...but him being in charge? Nah..doesnt compute
  15. For the rest of today, December 6th(yeah i know..a little late lol)..their overstock is only $5. Their overstock includes the entirety of Way of Kings...so $25 .
