    Im really excited about Szeths flashback sequences. Hopefully we will learn more about the Honorblades, and im actually pumped to learn more about the Shin in general. Eshonai I could take or leave, but the Listeners will also be alright to learn more about. Dalinar. Who doesn't want to see his flashbacks? My order for the last 5 would be: 6. Taln 7. Lift 8.     I also always wondered this. Not only when the bond started, but when it was in relation to Jasnah's bond to ivory. I always saw her as having a head start on everybody, but after WoR I'm not so sure if thats the case. Kind of hi jacking the topic at this point, my appologies.

    The Heroes is by Joe Abercrombie. Its a 3 day battle told from both sides in First Law universe. I really do hear what you're saying Argent, but getting reminded of how bad chull someone is is never a bad idea in my humble opinion. Plus he had to use the Blood Song to the point of death so The One Who Waits could steal the blood song from him. So in a way, it was totally plot appropriate. (Yes im stretching but a man can dream right?) Good talking with you though, can't wait to discuss book 3. I tweeted Anthony Ryan and he said book 3 is for sure the end, so hopefully he saved best for last, and Tower Lord was the classic mid series slump. Until next time Argent

    I do agree with everything you've said about Frentis. His story had the feel of not really going anywhere past the point with the dead Hope's wife. I found the end of his story very anti climactic as well. For me, the cool cinematic fight with Vaelin at the end was awesome. I enjoy fight scenes in novels, they might even be my favorite parts in a lot of the stories I have read. For example, Kaladin vs Szeth, Kvothe when he seeks vengeance on the fake Edema Ruh, or Gorst vs Whirrun from The Heroes. Not to mention any scene with the Bloody Nine. I feel like it just comes down to preference, and it did it for me.

    Wasn't that what it was though? Nobody could stop him when the blood song was as strong as it was. His downfall was singing too much, which I did actually find kind of lame. What happened to him after I wasn't a huge fan of either, but I feel it will get fixed in book 3

    I feel like the portals aren't exactly the same. Where WoT portals would cut you in half, Blinks would teleport you without harm. Baseless speculation obviously.

    Anybody here read Blood Song and Tower Lord? I couldn't put either book down. The character Vaelin and the Blood Song gift were very well done. Im usually more of a 10 book series kind of guy but this trilogy is really doing it for me. Its no cosmere, but then, what is?

    Regarding Rand and the pipe and Nakomi... I believe I read somewhere that Robert Jordan left in his notes explicit instructions that both of those "events" are to never be explained. Even if RJ was still alive, Rand and Nakomi would always have been left as a secret. It was from BranSan directly at Jordancon this year? Last year? Im not sure exactly but I remember perfectly that those events were to never be explained.

    I meant to post this awhile ago but forgot all about it. Any fans of Androl can check out a great visual of how he would use gateways in the new X Men Days of Future Past. Anytime Blink fights the Sentinels she uses her gateways exactly how I'd picture Androl doing it. Really cool to see if you are hardcore WoT like I am.

    I'm not so sure I agree. I always felt Szeth burned through so much stormlight because the Honorblade fed off investiture similar to how Nightblood does when drawn. Since a KR already has access to a Shardblade, theoretically they wouldnt have to actually draw it at all. Just bonding the blade should give access to the surges, and without the Honorblade feeding off the stormlight, the surges should work fine IMO.

    I always felt this was a possibility as well. After all, wasn't Vashers first appearance in the original Way of Kings and Brandon wrote him a backstory afterwords? (Someone please correct me if I'm wrong) Because of this, I always felt Stormlight and Warbreaker are closely linked more so than other works would be. Eg. Nightblood

    In AoL it appears Wax gets a boost of sorts from the mists at the end. Also, in HoA Vin fuels Elends allomancy without him having to replenish his metals. Questions: 1. Is it possible for any allomancer to draw upon the mists at any time? From what happens at the end of AoL, I assume it is possible only if Preservation (now Harmony) allows the allomancer to do so. 2. If an allomancer is able to figure out how to fuel with the mists, does this turn Mistings into Mistborn? Or would they only be able to still use their one metal?

    How does being double gold twinborn make you able to heal fast? Why doesn't allomancy still burn it like it normally would? Does this mean a full twinborn would allomantically have access to 32 metals?

    Ever since I read Warbreaker I have been a huge Nightblood fan. Now, with it being in Szeths possesion at the end of Stormlight 3, Does anybody else believe that shardblades will not be a match for it? This may just be my hopeful superfan mind hoping, but I believe Nightblood will be too much for anybody to handle, and Zahel will be forced to Awaken Nightblood2.0 (Stormlight Edition) to take it down. Possibly Awaken a dead shardblade and create something new?

    One point I havent seen mentioned in this thread is Nightblood. Only the pure of heart can weild Nightblood. Even though Nalan is out murdering people, the fact of the matter is that he is able to hand Nightblood to Szeth. To me this says a lot about his corruption (or possible lack-there-of). This may possibly be a trick learned to fool the sword but I'm not so sure, and I think its worth mentioning

    It seems to me that anyone on Nalthis has the ability to Awaken objects, rather than needing the Nahel Bond like on Roshar, or a bead of lerasium like on Scadrial. I feel like the ToE are the link needed to Endowment in order to Awaken. The color acts as a temporary bond and allows the user to Awaken, much like lerasium allows people to use allomancy. The hole in this theory however is that not all color is from the ToE apparently

    Argent is correct. That is the fiasco of which I was referring. In the WoB compiled thread beside the exact comment it says it has been cleared up. If anyone could help thatd be great. Cant even find the thread about it anymore
