The only other channellers that I feel Rand would have wanted with him would be Avi - Lacks knowledge with channelling Elayne - Needed to lead the armies Egwene - Needed to lead the Aes Sedai (plus she sucks the big one) Alivia - Was supposed to help him die. Not exactly an inspiring companion at the last battle So even though it seems like he had other choices, I really do not think he did.

Nalthis/Sel for me. God King Returned with Aon Dor. Find a way for the Dor to fuel my Divine Breath, awaken myself a sentient sword and away I go.

I always felt Moiraine had to be there because she was one of the few Aes Sedai Rand trusted. Even after he becomes super Rand, Rand would still want two Aes Sedai he trusted with him at the last battle. Nynaeve and Moiraine were the obvious choices. It's not like he would take Cadsuane.

Its very hard not to downvote after reading Cadsuane is now your favorite haha. I have harboured such a hatred for her that took on a life of it's own later in the series. Do not feel daunted! The last 4 in this series are amazing novels. It's so worth it to get through.

I have read American Gods and thought it was good. Low Key was my favorite reveal.
-
I'll probably end up reading it straight through. I heard there was no real plot line for the whole series so I thought maybe there might be bigger time skips but I was mistaken! Time to settle in
-
Add a little more excitement and a few extra exclamation marks and that was my reaction. When Taim said that I cheered. I love every time an Aes Sedai gets put in their place in this series, they annoy me to no end. Which one you ask? Pick one

Finished Gardens and am halfway through Deadhouse Gates. Once you get your bearings this series is fantastic. I never knew I had such a fascination for wicked swords until Draginpur and Annomander Rake stole my heart. Chance and the Otataral sword were cool too. Question Is there a big time skip between any of the two books? I might take a break somewhere if there is

Your All-Time Favorite Superhero/Supervillian
kaladamSB replied to Fatebreaker's topic in General Discussion
The Hulk has always been my favorite. I also love Johnny Storm. John Constantine has always been a favorite. The Winter Soldier movie made me really like Captain America as well. My favorite supervillain is probably Thanos. -
Humans on Scadrial are 2 parts preservation and 1 part ruin. This weakened preservation enough that he trapped ruin and siphoned some of his power away making them equal. My question is: When somebody dies, does 2 parts preservation return to the shard, and 1 part to ruin? Or is the power lost forever?

Since hemalurgy is Ruins system, does that mean he has the most control over spiked beings? Meaning if Ruin and (for example) Odium were to fight over control of someone who had been spiked, would Ruin win outright? Or would it depend which innate investiture the person had originally? Hemalugy is so friggin cool

I will be buying this. I already have the series so I might as well.

What is Harmony's range for Hemalurgy? If someone is spiked on Roshar, would he know and be able to influence said person instantly? How many spikes before he can assume full control? Can this be blocked by another shard?

It's true Argent. I'm lucky enough that in my zone at work there are 5 of us that are fantasy fans. So I have a couple people to talk books with all day at least.

Silverthorn from the riftwar saga book 3? If so, book 4 is amazing.

Ghost road blues by Jonathan Maberry was outstanding. There are two sequels but I'm holding off reading them until after I finish MALAZAN. I'm super stoked about starting it.

I really like this idea. I now picture Kaladin having access to all surges and being the most BAMF in the cosmere.
-
Exactly, but if you look at q&a with brandon sanderson he says that he didn't die when he was hung. Only came close to dieing. Can you say plot hole?

So many cat people on this site. I have a dog named Eve. Puppy pic and grown up. Rotti Pitbull cross.

Finished Tigana. Great story. It was cool to read a fantasy story that's only one book long. Im used to trilogies at the least. Horror book break (Ghost Road Blues by Jonathan Maberry) and onto Malazan. I bought the entire series on my kindle.

The best answer I found on dragonmount.com was that the horn exists outside of the pattern, so the balefire would not have erased Mat losing his bond to the horn. Kind of flimsy though if you ask me.
-
1. Stormlight Archive 2. Kingkiller Chronicle 3. Wheel of Time 4. Song of Ice and Fire 5. Mistborn Special mention goes to Ravens Shadow, Demon Cycle and First Law
-
25% done Tigana by Guy Gavriel Kay. Really digging it so far. Chapters are like an hour long each.
-
Olver was able to blow the horn because when Mat died, his link to the horn was broken. This never was a problem with me until today. One of Mats prophecies was to die and live again, this being why Olver was able to become the hornsounder. I always assumed that this death happened when he was hung fron the ashandari when he first got it. Today I found out that this isn't the case, and it was actually when Rahvin hit him with the lightning bolt. My question is, since Rand hits Rahvin with the balefire, and Mat comes back to life, shouldn't the balefire have erased Mats death from the pattern causing him to remain the hornsounder?

Fifth Heightening Immortality and Feruchemy
kaladamSB replied to Darkarma's topic in Cosmere Discussion
After I read this line I suddenly pictured Hoid as this decrepid decaying old man/walking corpse in a wheelchair connected to IVs that lightweaves his appearance to a younger version of himself. On a more serious note, how exactly does Hoid have Feruchemy? Is it a Yolish version?
