  1. I've been too busy to watch the episode yet. Thoughts, eventually.
  2. ...which, would be my problem. I live in a pretty small town.
  3. Even ignoring the difficulty of those bits -which, I will be frank, is still really tough- I just don't know if there would be enough demand for a shop like that in my local area. I suppose, I fear I'm projecting and the market simply isn't there.
  4. ...but this is literally insane? And sleep deprived. ...so, herewith (embarrassing) thing:
  5. See, that was one of the insane ideas I had this morning. But I don't think is feasible.
  6. Nothing I've found. Thinking of quitting and going back to school...
  7. Unfortunately, I have an answer: I need the money, and I don't have a more realistic source of income. (I have some unrealistic ideas of sources of income though)
  8. Great question. Since I just got drafted to do an extra day of work. ...so I'm working 6 days this week. Twelve hours a day. ...
  9. Sweet Celestia. Another sleepless night. About to start another 12 hour shift. At this point, I think the question is 'when' I'll collapse, not 'if'.
  10. I want to... but is unlikely to happen, thanks to my work schedule. I might make an effort to finally write some of the short one-shots that have been bouncing off my head though...
  11. I didn't get much sleep last night. I woke up at 2 o'clock, and spent the next four hours unable to sleep because I was afraid I'd oversleep and be late to work. ...Or, I thought I ddin't sleep. When I was at work, it suddenly occured to me that I had to have slept for some of that time, because i very clearly remembered stuff that was absolutely impossible. Like there being a clock in my house where it shouldn't have been... and all the clocks in my house showing different times. ... But I also know I didn't sleep the whole time because I did end up getting up at certain points to get somehting to eat, drink, and so on, and I was exhausted today. So I slept, sometimes, and when I slept, I had dreams about how I couldn't sleep. My mind is a broken kaleidoscope.
  12. Headcanon: Jack O'Neil is MacGuyver using a different identity (for reasons)? ...though, I started watching SG-1 when Jack was replaced by Mitchell, and when Vala was on the team, and Teal'c had hair. Early Stargate looks odd to me.
  13. Haven't played Dark Souls. But, if you want to play with the idea of how accumulating souls would change a person (and working with no game knowledge)... Urgh. I can't think of any clear way to phrase what I'm trying to say. But,. if a soul is a person (presumably it is), then that would mean that having lots of souls would be like having lots of different persons within you, right? If they are all souls coming from different people, then picking up huge amounts of them could be... well, physcoholigcxally troubling. Because you'd have dozens and dozens of people, all with different wants and needs and reactions to things. If you can't turn that off, then I figure that would be... Disturbing. And a good way to keep characters around as mental dialogues after your main character offs them. Sure, Main Character might have killed and consumed Big Bad Evil Guy, but now BBEG is whispering in his head all the time, and MC finds himself wanting to do the stuff BBEG did... (Also, maybe the concept of a sin-eater would be of relevance for research?)
  14. I haven't read your stuff yet, but it does play the Snow White fairy tale rather straight; homebrewed stuff would probably be a tad more exciting or interesting . Though on the other hand, Morsain is kind of insane and fantastic; every store in the GM book is themed around a different fairy tale character or concept, so that's fairly neat.
  15. Ask and thou shalt recieve (One of the few RPing stuff I own, along with Rise of the Drow, so...)
  16. I'm going to have fun reading this for the next few days. (Incidentally... if you like fairy tales, I'd recommend checking out Snow White, by AAW publishing. It's a module published for Pathfidner and D&D based around... well, Snow White. Very closely based around it, but there's a lot of fun looking stuff in it.) And... FYI. Double-posting is generally frowned upon? Sorry; should have mentioned that before, but just... for future reference.
  17. ...guess I'm going to bite the bullet on this: I've been feeling like a failure recently. Nearly three decades on this earth, and I haven't notched up any successes to my name. Sometimes it feels like I'm just... counting down the clock until it runs down. I'm always worried that saying this sounds like I'm suicidal or something, so to clarify: I'm not. But I do often think about... if I were to disappear, or whatever, I don't know if there would be any... I don't know. Reaction? It wouldn't be a huge loss or anything since, like I said, I haven't done anything. I don't know. I'm sort of rambling. But... yeah. I just... kind of feel like I'm sort of useless lately. Like I'm not worth very much. And then I worry that posts like this make me seem... whiny or immature. Sorry.
  18. For years, I thought MacGuyver wasn't a real thing, just a joke from the Simpsons. Then I found out he was Col Jack O'Neil and, to be totally honest, I'm still not sure how to react to that.
  19. It's being held stationary in a space. So... I guess that's not inaccurate...
  20. So... this isn't exactly a story; it's just a moment that happened. I don't even have a resolution to it, since the game died before that happened. But it is still kind of wacky, so... The game system: Pony Tales: Aspirations of Harmony. A pbp, My Little Pony-based RPG system, where the combat worked with a Final Fantasy style ATB mechanic. My character: Silver Lining, basically Ditzy Doo, a worker at the Rainbow Factory with a combat style based around gambling with the dice. The situation: an interdimensional rift just opened in the middle of the factory floor at night, tentacles tearing through the fabric of reality to flail and grasp at the time traveler Silver Lining was talking to. My reaction: Attack! Specifically, attack with something which has the effect of rolling over for extra damage if I roll a 6. So I rolled the dice, and got a 6. So I rolled again, and got a 6. So I rolled again, and got a 6. So I rolled again, and... Well, the sixes stopped there, but still. Fairly improbable dice rolls, and I was looking forward to finding out if my low level character actually managed to flash fry C'thullhu with lightning.
  21. I do not understand democracy. The impression is that it's just counting votes, but it sounds like that's not how it actually works. ... See, now I can't help but think that this is a case of And then Twilyght was a Hooded Figure.
  22. I keep seeing his stats tank then rise ridiculously, so... I admit, I might be over-worrying, but still. It's kind of terrifying watching something that can so hugely impact my life which I have no impact upon. Twilyght. Your irresponsibility shocks me. You know dogs are not allowed in the dog Park.
  23. Yeah, I know what you mean. As I say, I just tend to be somewhat...fearful ofonline stuff? Is a bad habit. Sorry! (Any idea what would have caused the YouTube lag though? Almost certain that didn't happen on my home Internet...)
  24. So...unlikely to be hacked into, is what you're saying? (again, sorry. I...yeah. Worry a lot. Heck, the fact that you aren't saying the chance is 0% is still making me consider rebooting the whole thing...)
  25. Well, that's reassuring! Thanks! Sorry! I get very...paranoid, I suppose, about Internet security, and I was worried since YouTube seemed to be acting odd (There was a weird lag when opening new videos, where the sound started playing before videos loaded. So... I dunno. Was worried something was seriously wrong, or I was gonna have to reboot my machine.)
