  1. Well that went as expected. Jaime, even if you were telling the truth about lynching you not finishing the game, we'd need to go after you next. That way, Bugsy can target inactives during the night on the off chance that an inactive is an Eliminator without being redirected. My reasoning here is that the votes have been too close as things come down to the wire for one of our more active players to be playing the long con. If Jaime was telling the truth, it would almost have to be an inactive, IMO. So Jaime for lynch and Meta for mayor and we'll let Rand deal with the Dark One, rather than needing to take time to save our village. Sidenote: I'm hoping to write up an RP about my character's time as mayor; probably/hopefully tomorrow. So if anyone disagrees, I'll be around and we can go over everything then. Not that I expect that we're not all on the same page, but I don't want to blind myself by not hearing any opposing theories.
  2. So I'm finally getting around to closing these games. I wish I had more time to comment about each individual game, but life has been quite busy recently. I do want to say congrats to the Loyalists for a well fought win! And a special and heartfelt thank you to Hael for GMing it. I'd never heard of Codex Alera before this game, but the magic system sounds like fun, so I'll have to check it out! Now, as always, if anyone would like to try your hand at running a game, please get a hold of Gamma, Wilson, Alvron, or myself. Not only will we get you added to the list, but I'm sure we'd be more than willing to help out in any way we can as well! You can also ask questions and get some hints and feedback from everyone over here in our Art of Game Creation thread as well. With all the games that we've run so far, we have plenty of experienced GMs that can help you refine any game you're thinking about! Thanks again to everyone that played and we look forward to seeing you in future games!

I do want to say congrats to the Nobles for a well fought win! It was touch and go there for awhile. I wasn't sure if Wilson would ever be found out! Thanks goes to Maill for GMing yet another great game! You GMing games will be missed while you're gone, so hurry back to us! Now, as always, if anyone would like to try your hand at running a game, please get a hold of Gamma, Wilson, Alvron, or myself. 4. I'd have to go back through to make sure that you're right, but I feel pretty confident that you are. All the evidence points to Jaime being the last Corrupted. I don't think that you would've voted multiple times on your teammates when they could've been saved quite easily at this point. There's laying low and playing the long game, sure, but not to the point of taking out your team to the point where you just can't win. The fact that Elodin has barely come up to most people reads to me as if the Eliminators were avoiding him because they knew his claim was accurate. When you have a good idea of who is lying (because you're the one doing it), then when someone else makes a claim, you know that they're likely being honest. This is part of why I wouldn't mind seeing a few less role heavy games. Having to claim Regular Villager makes it much more up in the air when a good chunk of the players are the same. Bugsy was willing to forgo his attack for a night when it could've changed the tides of the game. His attack plus the DF attack could've wrecked us if he was Corrupted. That leaves inactives like Winter, which I highly doubt were Corrupted at this point. Besides, if Jaime turns out to be a Villager, then we can have Bugsy take them out at night. So that leaves Jaime; especially after their actions the last night by redirecting to Maill. If they really wanted to convince us of their Villager-ness, they would've at least redirected to Rubiks. Instead, they redirected to Maill who wasn't even on anyone's list other than theirs. I hope Gamma has something in mind for the final write up already. We've given him plenty of time with all the mistakes we made after our early successes that the final write up should be epic! Also, looking forward to reading the Docs about how stupid we've been. It's a nice change to only be able to read them once the game is done!
  5. That's 3 of them, which just leaves one more left. Plus, they have no kill tonight. Unfortunately, I suspect that the next 24 hours will be pretty quiet. Unless we're all incredibly off about Jaime (I doubt it), then we've got this in the bag. Bugsy, this time let's not take any chances. The idea before was to hopefully finish the game quicker, but that's not really an issue here. Besides, I highly doubt Jaime won't at least try to redirect. It's in their best interests and they'll most likely target you since Elodin and myself should be dreamwalking and Lopen has claimed Aiel-Blooded; so you'd likely wind up killing yourself. The best Jaime can hope for is to take out as many of us as possible before dying (which I salute! Way to play it to the end, Jaime! ). Unless something crazy happens, like Bugsy or Lopen being corrupted, We can move on to tomorrow safe in the knowledge that the Dark One or Madashar didn't win this time!
  6. Bugsy was all set to take out Jamie last night. We planned it out in a PM so that hopefully the Corrupted wouldn't know. Thus why we made sure to confirm the idea of him holding back in thread. The idea was that we could finish the game right now if they didn't redirect him and we'd still have more than enough players to maintain majority if they did. So, due to the redirection, we have confirmation that Jamie didn't do what she said she would (how could you lie to us, Jamie? ) and that leaves her and Rubiks as the final Eliminators. Good game, you guys, but you're all exposed now, thanks to your actions last night. I agree with Lopen, Rubiks needs to go first. He is most likely the final DF and then we'll be able to get rid of their kill. Without that, we'll just have to sit tight through the night, as they won't be able to whittle away our numbers anymore, and then lynch Jamie the next day. It'll take longer this way, but it's still a done deal as long as we all vote. Also, Meta. With that and Lopen's they shouldn't be able to take the mayorship and they can't overwhelm our votes.
  7. They're down to two now. We've got Fain (Aonar) and a Corrupted (Joe). But the work isn't done yet. Jamie, if you're not Corrupted, then redirect Rubiks to himself. If there's no kill then when Rubiks dies by his own hand, that will go a long way to clearing you. If there is a kill, then either you're both Corrupted (which I suggest we check on by lynching Rubiks) or the final DF is likely Lopen. I'm honestly surprised with how little has been going on the last few cycles. We're at the point where any mistake could cost us the game. THIS is where things are at their most exciting! The only reason I can think of is because we're on the right track. So this next night should be telling. Bugsy, I'd suggest not making an attack tonight, just to be on the safe side. We're up 6-2, but if a DF kill still goes through, then we're at 5-2 with quite a few people that seem to be losing interest at the worst possible time. If you make a kill and it's redirected, then we're at 4-2 with no guarantee that everyone will be around to vote the next day. I'd rather we play it safe. We've got this as long as we take our time. Stink is all but cleared at this point and if anyone has any lingering doubts about me, I suggest him for Mayor on the next turn. I highly doubt that after we were all set up to lynch Fain that they'd also reveal another one of their own, so either Stink is playing a very long game (one that doesn't really pay out as long as Elodin and myself keep putting our orders in) or he's not Corrupted. Personally, I think that Hael/Aonar Corrupted both of our Ta'veren on the idea that we'd keep using our roles in a manner that they could manipulate. The fact that we went back to old school and just use the lynch has thrown their plans into disarray, IMO. We'll be able to see that for certain tomorrow.
  8. Wow, seriously? Only 10 people have signed up so far? I thought there were more than that. Where is everybody? I haven't come up with a character yet, which is why I haven't signed up yet, but go ahead and put me down to play. I'll hopefully come up with something soon.
  9. Not sure what exactly what you mean by this. I don't know if you're trying to say Joe wasn't corrupted or Maill has been or that Maill isn't. Plus it seems to contradict you then stating that Maill must have outed you. But fair enough. If you're concerned about Stink possibly being Corrupted, then you should be even more willing to kill Joe. By killing Joe, we also get a chance to either clear Stink or find out he's corrupted. If Joe is Corrupted, then Stink was telling the truth If Joe is not Corrupted, then Stink lied and is Corrupted. Either way, we have another Corrupted down. Right now, unless I'm missing something, it's 6-3. Then we can test you again the next night. If we just keep you redirecting Rubiks back on himself and there is still a DF kill (since Joe won't be around to redirect you), then either someone else is the DF or both you and Rubiks are in cahoots and we have found all of the Corrupted. Which we can find out by lynching Rubiks. So, IMO, the only two options for this lynch is either Joe or Rubiks. Joe clears or condemns Stink and Rubiks either mostly clears or condemns you.
  10. I'd be fine with either Rubiks or Joe. Both of them are constants on all of your corruption possibilities, which I agree with as the most likely scenarios. So if more people would rather go for Rubiks, then I'll gladly switch my vote. Speaking of, I know it's still early, but remember what I said about complacency, everyone. We need at least 3 votes on one player and the Mayor to make sure that the Corrupted can't control the lynch. So please do vote for both! I'm curious as to why you'd tell Maill. When Aman and I talked, we specifically stated that we wanted to try to keep the plans as quiet as possible. I highly doubt that Aman wouldn't have shared that sentiment with you. Plus, you were already suspecting Maill of being Corrupted the other day, so why would you decide to reveal your actions to him of all people in the first place? It's like you were deliberately sabotaging yourself which makes no sense.
  11. I talked with Aman during the last turn and I believe the plan was for Jamie to redirect Rubiks to himself. As such, either Jamie is corrupted (if Rubiks is the Corrupted DF) or Joe redirected Jamie. So what did both of our Ta'veren supposedly do with their turns? If you redirected someone else, they should be able to confirm whether or not their action was moved. Either way, unless Stink was corrupted (which I doubt right now), Joe almost definitely has been so I see no reason not to lynch him next. Also, to continue to make sure that the mayorship stays in Villager hands, Meta.
  12. Seems like this will be pretty easy to find out. We lynch Joe tomorrow since he's all but confirmed to be Corrupted and if it turns out that he wasn't, then we have definite proof Stink was lying. I don't think he is though. Joe's recent actions speak for themselves with him voting with Aonar on Maill the other day. And since he would have been the final corruption, that means that he was still good when he redirected Aonar onto Rubiks, so it's pretty clear that Rubiks is one as well. Jamie is a definite possibility, since I'm not seeing how their actions make sense in any other right. But, since we've got Rubiks and Joe to take out already, I'm content to take care of them and we can keep an eye on her in the meantime.
  13. Just a quick something I'd like to point out. It could be nothing, but.... This was part of Rubiks' last post of the Day turn. Now, it's obvious to me that this very well could just be him explaining why he didn't vote. After all, with so many people that didn't vote, I'd assume some other people missed the deadline switch as well. But, if we consider the possibility of the Corrupted being willing to try to push the vote off of Aonar and onto Maill (thus why Joe voted for Maill as well and tried to make Jamie Mayor), then the wording, "I know that I am not the only one who missed it" could be taken as a slip. How does he know that he wasn't the only one that missed it? There's no PMs during the day. The only ones that are allowed to talk are Eliminators. Because if I had said something like that, I would have probably said something along the lines of, "I'm sure I wasn't the only one who missed it due to the deadline." The difference being the certainty and isn't that part of what led Wilson to catching Gunshy? Considering that most of us already think that Rubiks is likely the Corrupted DF already, due to him being rescued from Bugsy's kill, this is just another possible brick in the wall; not proof. Like I said, just a possible slip I noticed. Thoughts? EDIT: If this is the case, I think it kind of clears Maill as well, unless Aonar had another Corruption, since they wouldn't want to kill another one of their own just to save Aonar if he didn't. At the very least, I find it a bit more likely that Maill actually was redirected.
  14. I was getting concerned there near the end that too many people were just going to be complacent and not vote! At least that's out of the way. @TheMightyLopen I don't think we want to broadcast what we're going to do to the entire thread right now. Pretty sure (other than Sheep just not putting in their order) that that was part of how they pulled off such a great last turn.
  15. There's no such thing as too inexperienced, IMO. How would anyone get experience without being new at it sometime? And yes, GMing requires an entirely different set of skills than playing, so you're not too "inexperienced" in that right either. We've just been busy. You guys don't see it, but constantly updating all the lists and charts and such that we use to keep things as organized as they are takes up a decent chunk of time because they're constantly changing. The best example I could give (for those that have been in this situation) is being a GM full-time. We'll get you updated there as well and thank you for reminding us. But, as long as you're on one of the lists, we won't forget you. You'll get your chance at ruling over the fates of others.
  16. Actually, it was Alv, but all of the rest of us Mods are in agreement with it. I'm hoping to be able to sign up for this game, but we haven't worked out who's modding it yet. I don't want to step on anyone's toes that wants to play and Idk who is too busy at the moment and all that. This game happened a bit suddenly since we hadn't heard back from other people that were signed up to GM on the MR list.
  17. Okay, we get it. You were right. There, you happy now? Sorry I didn't believe you in a game filled with lies and manipulation. You can now stop laying it on so thick though, because you doing so just makes me think that it was you corrupted last night and that you're trying to guilt people into following your ideas rather than actually talk it out. I understand why you guys want to go after someone other than Aonar. It makes sense in the idea that we'd be removing a corrupted that has a useful ability. Here's the thing though. The Ta'veren aren't that useful right now if Bugsy doesn't put in a kill. Sure, they could move Maill's protection (if he hasn't been corrupted anyways) to make sure that the DF kill goes through, but even then we'll still have the majority over them. Right now, based on Aman's list above, it's about 7-4 (6-5 if the DF hasn't been corrupted), in our favor. If we lynch Aonar (unless someone doesn't think he's Fain?), then it's 7-3 and we don't have to guess or worry about whether or not he has another corruption. Then they kill during the night, we don't, and it's still in our favor at 6-3 (5-4 if the DF hasn't been corrupted). If we don't lynch Fain and he does have another corruption, then the next day, even with Bugsy holding back on killing, we'd be at 6-4 (5-5 if the DF hasn't been corrupted) even if we get a corrupted with our lynch. If we don't lynch Fain and he does have another corruption, AND we screw this lynch up, we're looking at 5-5 by tomorrow and we've lost. Obviously, this gets worse if Bugsy does attack and they're capable of redirecting, but the point is, by killing Fain/Aonar right now we weaken their numbers; something we need to do if we don't want them to get the upper hand. This also gives us a chance to test one of the Ta'veren tonight. I don't want to go into details here obviously and it won't absolutely confirm one over the other, but if something odd does happen, then it could tell us which one is likely the corrupted. Unless there's something I'm missing or there's a chance that Aonar isn't Fain, then I don't see why we're refraining from taking out basically a known Eliminator. EDIT: I did come up with one way that if could be worse, but it'll be easy to check: if they corrupted Bugsy. But, even if they did, we'd still be up 5-3 at the end of the next night and we'd know that they had corrupted Bugsy if he attacks when we ask him not to.
  18. If we lose this game, it's going to be because we got complacent. I just don't see why Sheep didn't put in at least a order, let alone not detain Aonar. That was literally the only move we needed to go through and there's no way to block a detainment due to it being a Day action. If Jamie and Maill are telling the truth, then Joe was the one who didn't do what they were supposed to and likely redirected Maill. But, since there has now been another corruption, I can't be sure that this isn't just a ploy. The main thing though is that this all still hinges on the idea that Aonar is Fain. So let's make sure that's the case before we go off hunting the rest. If he is Fain, then we know for sure that Rubiks is corrupted and then, either Maill or Joe (but mostly likely Joe) is another. Also, we're going to want to make sure that they can't gain control of the Mayor vote. They know Aonar is out in the open and this turn couldn't have gone much better for them in terms of not losing anyone. If they make a late push for the mayorship, they could get enough votes, so whomever we pick needs to be unanimous. Since I can't be corrupted, I'd suggest myself, but with so many people somehow still suspecting me, I'll go with whomever everyone else picks. The main key here is to just make sure that they don't get it.
  19. Apologies if how it was worded made it confusing in any way Apologies, man. I must've read this as, "if that is the only role they'd have," because I even commented about how I felt you were beating around the bush about it last turn too. I wouldn't be surprised if Gamma is trolling, but if Fain is free tonight, I think that suggests that Sheep is likely Corrupted. We had an extended day yesterday and planning how to deal with this night turn was a huge part of it. I'm pretty sure I remember Sheep posting about it as well. So, that would mean that we know Rubiks and Sheep were the corrupted if Aonar is Fain as we expect him to be. That would be rather nice of them; to give themselves away like that. *Sigh*
  20. Well, I'm more than capable of admitting when I'm wrong and this was definitely one of those times. As I said yesterday though, at least this way we didn't lose anyone and we were capable of narrowing down our suspicions. Bugsy, if you want a target, I suggest Rubiks since it looks like Aonar is most likely Fain and Sheep should have put in a detainment on Aonar. Unless you're saying that there is more than 4 Darkfriends (which it doesn't sound like you are), I can't be a Darkfriend. I was detained last night turn when a Darkfriend kill was made, remember? Why is it that I have to keep bringing this up? I helped kill the Forsaken, I've Dreamwalked every night (if you don't believe that, then bloody test me already!). The night I was detained, there was a Darkfriend kill and a corruption. So I can't be Fain and if I've been Dreamwalking, then I can't have been corrupted either. See, it's stuff like this that made me so suspicious of you in the first place, Aman; where it looks like you're trying to push some kind of agenda. I am past done having to repeat the same storming points over and over again. If anyone wants to still think I could be anything other than a Villager, go for it. I'll not be bringing this up again. Sidenote: I'm going to be extra pissed off if Fain does have multiple roles. With as many times as it has been asked of Gamma, he still hasn't actually answered the question. I'd even settle for a PAFO rather than this answering questions around it bit. A lot of our strategy for finding Fain has been based on that idea based on how Gamma's answered the questions that he has answered. I'd feel that we were deliberately misled at that point.
  21. If Aman's claim is right, then we don't wind up losing anyone and we still have him around to help out. He's then just as vulnerable as 90% of us, which is part of why I don't buy into his idea that saving his extra life is all that important to us right now. His analysis of how close we could be (if the corrupted have turned what is likely the final Darkfriend) makes it all that more important that we have as many people that are cleared around as possible. We'll want as many active people around as possible to make sure that there's less chance to overpower the vote if the Corrupted/Darkfriends try to take it over. As Aman pointed out, I'm not against the idea of someone dying if it gets us additional information. This gets us additional information while not losing someone who could be paramount in the coming votes. I could see Aonar being clever enough to create a fabricated list. I'm not discounting that possibility. But nothing Aonar/Hael has done has really raised any flags for me. Them being so open about their redirect (which hasn't really been addressed and if it's addressed by people stating that they had to be open about it as their only proof, then understand why I'll be hesitant about that) before it even came up makes me think that this whole idea of Rubiks and Aonar being linked together is a false trail. On the other hand, Aman has been fighting tooth and nail to not be lynched even though it won't "supposedly" kill him. And then there's this: On his reasons for suspecting Rubiks. Seems a bit contradictory to what he's espousing now that he's up for the lynch with saving his extra life, huh? Seems to me that he's doing basically the same thing here as he states that Rubiks could have been doing there. I'm sticking to my vote. If I'm wrong, so be it. We'll still have another chance to pull off the win with Aman still working with us. If I'm right, we stop any additional conversions and it's given us a few people to consider as possible conversion subjects.
  22. On the other hand, we could lynch you, you'd survive as long as you're telling the truth, and then detain Aonar to possibly stop a conversion. If there isn't a conversion, then we can pretty safely assume that Aonar is Fain and thus when redirected to Rubik, Rubik would likely be corrupted. In this scenario, we don't actually lose anyone, where your plan makes it so that we absolutely do lose someone now. See, this is why I don't like how insistent you are. It feels more like you know that you won't survive the lynch, so you're trying to push a plan that keeps you from being lynched to prove yourself and gets another kill.
  23. Really? Guys, how would Aonar know to claim that a scan of theirs failed and which night? Unless Hael knew that Bard was planning to target Maill with something that night, this is the first that it was ever mentioned as far as I'm aware. So much so, that we all have to go back to check just to confirm it! Now granted, his scans don't tell us much that we don't already know, but that kind of thing happens. Also, Hael was quite open about himself getting redirected to Rubiks at the beginning of this day. Pretty sure he was the one to bring it up even before Joe did. Honestly, I'd much rather trust Aonar on this one than the person who's been spending a lot of time trying to convince us not to lynch him (not even kill him, if he's telling the truth, just lynch him) just because. See, that's what I'm getting from your plan to lynch Aonar or Rubiks, just trying to get one more Villager killed and then get off one more corruption before you're revealed. I am confident in where my vote is and just become more and more confident as this day goes on.
  24. I guess that should have been somewhat expected, as those are all non-answers. Though they still don't actually answer my questions about whether or not Fain could have two roles. I understand discretion, but either give us a PAFO, or stop beating around the bush. I'll explain what my original plan was now, just so you guys can see it. If Aman was capable of putting in a vote for the Dragon Fang (since his claim of Aiel-Blooded would "technically" leave him open to do so during the night turn), then I wanted to test his theory about Stink fake claiming Thief-Taker. See, that's the weakest part of his argument, IMO. Stink would already know that Aman's action would be nothing and thus could give that result whether or not Stink was a Thief-Taker or not. It wouldn't clear either of them in that right. So my plan was to PM Aman and have him put in an order for the Dragon Fang. If Stink caught it, then Stink is cleared. If not, then we know he's faking it. Since that's not possible, I'll continue going for my most suspected person. On top of that, as stated before, by lynching Aonar or Rubiks, we'd have a fair to decent chance of either confirming one as Villager or Corrupted. But, since Gamma is being elusive and cryptic, I'll leave my vote where it is. Aman has been pushing pretty hard for his survival in comparison to how nonchalant he's been for the last few turns, which makes me wonder about why it's now so important to him to speak up now. As an Aiel-Blooded, his reaction just comes off a bit strong to me.
  25. I've been waiting to hear from Gamma about a few different things. Not only the questions I had for him at the beginning of the day, but also some questions I asked in PM to him (to try to draw him back to the thread to see the rest as well). A lot of my thoughts and where my vote will end up kind of depend on Gamma's answers, so I'm hoping that he'll allow for us to take in any new information (for example, if Fain is capable of having two roles. I've heard plenty of people state that idea, but I don't remember where Gamma confirmed it. If they have some form of confirmation that the rest of us haven't had, then it was either in Docs or PMs.) before the day ends. I like Aman's plan of lynching Aonar or Rubiks because, if he's a Villager, it can net us two birds with one stone. It could also be a ploy to buy himself another turn to convert if he is Fain though and thus why I'm not moving my vote yet. Depending on how Gamma answers a few of the questions though, I'd be willing to work with this plan.
