There's not nearly enough salt about [Secret History Spoilers]
lordofsoup replied to FeatherWriter's topic in Mistborn
While Kel would love the fanfare of his return to the world of the living, I dont think he would enjoy being the Lord Ruler. He would get a kick out of the initial reception but thats probably it. He cant sit still long enough to enjoy it, and without the challenge of facing insurmountable odds, he would quickly get bored. I think he's either with Khriss and Nazh or he is hunting the Hoid, maybe both. Im sure that the main reason he came back is because he knew people like feather would be mad about it. The helping people came later. -
This makes sense considering that we have a WoB that Adonalsium could have been broken differently.

Still had to do some strange file conversion garbage to get it on my kindle.

Read both releases today. Havent had a session like this since I finished the Crippled God, and I still managed to go to all my classes today. I really enjoyed seeing Kel again, and I fully admit that I shed a single tear at the survivor of flames.

I bought it on iBooks; it took me like 5 minutes to murder the drm and upload it as a pdf to my kindle.

12 I think RIP

Im hoping that Laurel will become a metahuman and get a boost that way. She just seems kind of useless compared to Oliver, Digg, and Thea.

Compliment the person above you!

Some sort of gargoyle thing at night? Its small so I cant really tell. -
I really hated how her powers were so inconsistent. One scene she was getting smashed through brick walls and getting up with no problem, and the next a normal person was hurting her with their fists. Also for a woman who is able to fly, not being able to jump across a hundred foot room without smashing into the floor is a huge let down. Jessica's mental problems should not effect her to the point that random people can beat her up.

I thought that in the original timeline Harrison Wells didnt create the particle accelerator for another 5 years after the starting point of the show. So about 20 years after Barry's mom died. The reason Eobard replaced him was to speed up the creation of the accelerator, so instead of having to wait 20+ years for the Flash to be born, he managed it in 15.

Sharders React to their First Few Posts
lordofsoup replied to Comatose's topic in General Discussion
There is, but it only goes back to mid 2014. You have to choose advanced search and then search by member name for a specific date range. -
This happened to me the first time I tried to read Malazan. I couldnt take it after WoT and Stormlight. The first book doesnt make much sense, because you have no idea how magic works, and you dont have a sense for the world as a whole. It was also written ten years before the second one so some of the things that happen in the first book end up being non cannon and ignored throughout the rest of the series. However I went back after a few years and I loved it.

I use this, its from the witcher novels. Probably spoilers in it, so Im only gona leave a link. http://orig11.deviantart.net/f348/f/2014/260/0/3/ciri_by_wojciechfus-d7zka9g.png It is my favorite scene in all of fantasy, even better than anything from WoT, Mistborn, or Malazan, because it could be a real life scenario.

http://www.17thshard.com/forum/topic/78-theory-hoid-is-related-to-the-cognitive-aspect-of-adonalsium/#entry1803 I think this is my first post; had a little trouble with the search function. Im not sure what exactly I was thinking when I wrote it, but my grammar was terrible. -
I believe that Clod is better than the average lifeless because Vasher killed him with a decent amount of Breath still in him.

Possible Origin of Shardplate? (Spoilers WoR)
lordofsoup replied to 02ranger's topic in Stormlight Archive
Do all Radients get Plate? Not all Radients get Blades. Though that statement leads to the question, did past Bondsmiths get Blades? Im inclined to think that not all Radients would get Plate. I think that this theory has merit, though more likely that they use a specific type of spren that forms after a certain Oath to make the plate. -
Vin, Atium OP. Szeth wouldnt realize that the only defense is to run until its too late.

{SoS Spoilers} Wax- The (probably not) steel compounder
lordofsoup replied to Silvers's topic in Mistborn
This thread makes me wonder if Harmony is grooming Wax into becoming an inquisitor or maybe Marasi if he refuses. -
Isnt that what Marsh is for?
-
Does he actually understand anything about sex? He can make crude jokes as well as anyone, but it seems like it is an almost childish outlook on the world. He is constantly trying to take what cant have.
-
I was expecting Lessie's body to show up at some point with Bloody Tan still floating around, but not like that. Dam Also Im sad that Marsh didnt get an emergency call up. Hello this is Death, I would like you to stop rioting. K, Thanks. Ironeyes

Oh, I thought you had to use the metal mind as the spike to make it work.

Will shards be used during the war?
lordofsoup replied to High prince of geeks's topic in Stormlight Archive
I was sad that Dalinar unbound the shardblade when he talks to the Stormfather. I think it would have been better if he had just kept it and never used it, instead of just leaving it on the roof.
