    Unless his grand plan is to nurture civilisation with all its challenges and flaws to bring mankind unto the stars by the force of their own invention, so that when the first colony of Scadrian settlers finds their way to a planet beyond his direct influence, they shall neverless prosper and be merry for untold generations, bringing the gospel of Harmony into the unplumbed voidish depth and spreading peace and wisdom grown from maturity as a race, as opposed to creating a forced utopia where all evil is dealt with in a way that Nightblood would understand in the core of his being?

    Good fellow. I knew you'd see the light of feruchemical cadmium someday. Seriously though, a cadmiummind could give a feruchemist far more time per weight in space than an airtank. An Allomantic iron Feruchemical cadmium twinborn, for example, would be the perfect astronaut, though a station side Lurcher and a cadmium compounder would work nearly as well.

    Remember, Kvothe (Kote?) is still fairly young. The things that turn the world into the haunted mess that it is have probably been foreshadowed from a totally different direction than we expected already.

    Do remember that Sazed was raised beneath the rule of an all-powerful god-emperor that employed drastic measures to maintain his power and his peace. I think that Sazed might flich at the idea of becoming a new Lord Ruler, especially one so powerful that a Kelsier-style rebellion could not even begin to exist.

    Storing breath is awesome. You know why? Space. That's why. Why else? Diving. That's why else. You know why else? Poisonous gases, inhaled diseases, and hour-long saxophone solos sans breath.

    I wonder if Kote is really going to become Kvothe again - maybe the story is going to be more of a "passing of the torch" kind of thing, with Chronicler turning into a legend in his own right - a leader rather than a hero, or even a philosopher who guides.

    I have a steel watch. I don't own much jewlery, but could conceivably. I have cast-iron furniture in my house. I have access to enormous hunks of steel in the form of bridges. I own pewter and brass things. All of these things are much closer to immediately available than any other magic system's focus.

    Maybe it has something to do with the ardentia never coming near the battlefield due to their position, and any bridges close to the battlefield are taken down by Parshendi?

    Or the equivalent with a Parshendi army or something. It could get disturbing fast if she was turning them into blood though.

    10 ounces of pewter, three seconds of weakness, and you can double your strength for a second or so - enough to smash something. An iron bracelet, and you can climb things effortlessly while storing. Even a tinmind is immediately useful for nullifying your hearing so you can't be distracted. Brass can let you survive intense heat by storing it in the brassmind. All these things require very little, and are useful more or less immediately.

    The thing about Feruchemy as opposed to Allomancy seems to be that the quality only interferes with the efficiency rather than making you sick. You could probably buy a mess of scrap iron and store a fair amount of weight in it, even if it's not very compact storage.

    I just want a scene with Jasnah walking through a high storm, Soulcasting all the boulders into smoke before they hit her.
