  1. Serendipity, your task is clear: indoctrinate this poor fellow to our website. Pry the spoilers from him piece by bloody piece. And, for Harmony's sake, speak up first next time!
  2. What if Perfecting draws in "perfection" from an area and concentrates it into a single object/ draws in the perfection of an object and concentrated it into a person? That way, anyone Perfecting something would have an aura of artificial products degrading in quality. You could even have a tiny, highly detailed thingamabob that would grow noticeably simpler whenever someone started Perfecting in the area. Also, I accidently downvoted Heir's post while trying to upvote (stupid phone). Someone care to correct it?
  3. Or a propulsion mechanism where the air systems would be. And I don't mean literally going into a star, I was thinking more like a full-body tanning bed facing the sun with the most harmful radiation filtered out, or even a lattice of black metal heat-absorbers that, isolated in a vacuum, would get extremely hot. The Feruchemical brass ferring could just touch it and store.
  4. Also, remember Sazed's prison break scene? The one where he used random metal objects to go badass for a fight? I'm pretty sure those were not smelted to be ideal for the Metallic arts.
  5. If we start with that, then we will start using acronyms to abbreviate. Now, it might just be me, but HPD is also the acronym for Human Papillomaviral Disease. I don't want to give Dalinar the same name as a STD.
  6. Harmony is made of two totally opposite Shards, remember, and he gets along just fine - we think. I don't think his aspects would cause him to shatter any more than your oesophagus and bowels don't get along, even though they do more or less opposite things.
  7. What if it's just the Cognitive and Spiritual presence of humanity that was the pressure shattering Adonalsium? Not so much a malevolent force, just a buildup of other sentient entities that drove Adonalsium to Shatter in a subtle way? Here's another thought - what if Adonalsium's Shattering was a paternalistic gesture, passing it's power into a form that humans could handle? Kind of writing your will then commuting suicide.
  8. Still not copyright violation as long as you don't profit. Though I would encourage originality for its own sake.
  9. Don't forget Mat. I know he isn't Cosmere, but Mat needs to be there. He can have a "witty badass" contest with Hoid.
  10. I think, actually, that the best astronauts would be twinborns in specialised spacesuits. Allomantic iron Feruchemical iron, for example (used without compounding) would basically allow extremely precise spacewalk manuvers. Cadmium compounders would need only insulation and a supply of metal, if they had a team of lurchers moving them - depending on how it works, they could even be the air supply for a station. Allomantic iron and Feruchemical cadmium would have the benefits of both, though with a reduced airless time. Feruchemical brass might actually be better for absorbing heat to use as power from the sun, though Allomantic pewter could be handy to nullify the radiation. Compounded Feruchemical tin eyesight would allow for visual communication with the ground. A crew of bendalloy ferrings, with a single Cadmium compounder, could potentially survive for years assuming that the Bendalloyers had had several feasts of truly epic proportions before leaving.
  11. I like the effect of the people-in-a-rainbow-puddle ones, but the poses seem a bit awkward
  12. Your username is hilarious when discussing in this context.
  13. Based on the amplitude of the sound waves juxtaposed with the angle of the shadows caused by the gravitational pull of the sun, I have an address. DEPLOY THE 17TH SHARD RECYCLING RUMAGERS! OK that's a stupid name.
  14. I'm betting that the ardents already pull lots to see who has to do a quick-and-dirty crap -> smoke soulcasting. Anything requiring more concentration would require for some dedicated holy men indeed.
  15. Kind of. OK, who wants to do a frame by frame analysis of this video to extract all words? If NASA can get the spectrum of an exoplanet from a couple of pixels, we can extract readable text from this, right?
  16. Feather, the rep system isn't intended to be anything more than a general display of participation in the community. I think things like Sanderson Elimination deserve the amount of rep that they get precisely because they focus on the community.
  17. A hydrophobic sponge structure that repulses water under normal conditions but allows it at a high enough pressure?
  18. Both. Preorder the eBook, and start at midnight. Call in sick and get them to disregard the mumbled passages of WoR that you mumble when trying to excuse yourself and read at the same time.
  19. Glimpse: "Amaram's eyes burnt black at the end of the Shardblade" Context: "his voidish flesh blocking the blade."
  20. Maybe the perspective of a Shard simply sees things like that as unimportant in the long run - or perhaps, vitally important. Personally, I'd rather a god that keeps his nose out of things and steps in with a nudge here and there than a god that solves all problems. Perhaps you're just thinking on a different scale of problems.
