  1. Well, I am here, and so far the most interesting thing this day has been the conversation between Alvom and STINK. I think I am developing a bit of a bias against STINK, but I'm not sure if I'm picking up on something suspicious or just responding to what his playstyle has been so far. Of note here is that Ripple and STINK both pointed out that we should be wary of a Worldsinger. I'm not too sure about Mailliw, but I will need to go back through Day 1 to see more about that. Day 1 slightly skimmed ish Ok, so Honey Badger say that they couldn't post until next cycle most likely. But that doesn't really make the reasoning behind Mailliw's vote less valid (I was convinced enough to vote the same way, although I didn't go back to read Honey's post) So Wilson, could you clarify the reasoning behind your vote for me a bit? Edit: Or anyone else? I'm assuming that it is based off of Ripple trying to save his own life, but I'm not seeing too strong of a connection.
  2. @Hero: What you did almost seemed like something Meta would have done; propose some sort of plan, then wait to see how many people jump onto it. When I read that I felt a sort of warning like, "This may be a ploy." If the lynch is uncertain then Eliminators might have been willing to vote for someone that a village person suggested that was also a villager. But I will have to look back over things last cycle around when you posted that.
  3. Well, I'm not sure if this is enough to convince anyone to add to my vote, but STINK has sent me a PM asking for my role. I suspect that he just has a very different playstyle, but from what I have seen I think there are better ways than what he has suggested to find the eliminators. Like he said, we don't have much information right now, but the only way to get that info is to pursue killing someone. You know, in the interests of actually accomplishing something, I am going to switch my vote over to Honey Badger. The behavior that Mailliw brought up, pushing for a lynch without actually contributing, is very much along the lines of how the eliminators can use the lynch as an extra kill without giving away much info about themselves.
  4. Ok, I like how much you have been contributing to discussion STINK, but I would like a bit of a clarification on the first of those points you listed. The whole point of the lynch business is to force the eliminators to get involved in the discussion. So if anyone (all the better if they turn out to be bad) comes right out next cycle with a list of people they suspect, then that is more information for the village to use later on.
  5. Yeah, this is a controversial topic. But, I am firmly in favor of a day one lynch, and in the interests of that I am going to vote for IrulelikeSTINK (is there a way you would prefer this abbreviated?). What exactly are your thoughts on why we should have no day 1 lynch?
  6. Well, thanks for letting us know! I guess we will have a disproportional amount of time to do roleplaying for our characters this generation! I hope that everything goes smoothly for you and that you are good at your new job. Also, public action: Action 2: Who: Lady Valeri What: Upgrading the sheep farm and the sheep dairy Why: For more sheep cheese! Where: Pretty sure they are both by Luthadel ish When: Second Action Edit: Changed to Second Action
  7. Good game everyone and thanks to Aonar and all of the people that helped him GM! I liked how all of the roles ended out, although I never actually got to use one . Overall, I think the mechanics of the game were fairly balanced. I do think that this game suffered a bit more than usual from inactivity, compared to the LG that I played last summer. I'm a bit curious, the only person that every noted me as suspicious in the thread was Mailliw, and he retracted that fairly soon. Was anyone actually suspecting me but just not mentioning it? Also, I'm even more convinced that early game lynches are good, since we had Peng picked out pretty early, but let him off the hook when he went inactive.
  8. Well, Right after I posted all of the connections I found between him and Ren/Hero, you came along and said that it was either coincidence or that Ren and Hero were trying to make Mailliw look like an eliminator by associating with him. I'll go back and see if I can find the exact posts. Edit: I said this: Followed by Kipper saying: And You saying: I think when you said Macen there you meant Kipper, since he is the only other person that responded to me. This seems suspicious to me, for a couple reasons. First of all, you didn't consider the possibility I was right, unlike Kipper, who at least said they were good points. (I am not trying to sound self important, just to say that I do think there is some validity behind what I said) Then you mentioned an alternative, but it doesn't seem to hold very much weight. The concept of buddying up is solid, but the problem here is that there were 3 people involved. Ren and Hero shared a connection, as we see now, but they couldn't force Mailliw to make posts that lined up with what they already said. One example of this is Idolevy. Ren and/or Hero both pushed for him to be lynched for inactivity. Then, after they got taken out, Mailliw came and picked the same person to poke. This cannot possibly be a situation of intentional buddying up. But I don't think this discussion is too important to have right now. If Mailliw dies and is found to be a Diagramist, then I will be fairly suspect of you. Until then, you are just a normal joe.
  9. You can do it once per generation. If your public action doesn't meet the guidelines then The Almighty Wyrm will publicly reveal one of your other actions.
  10. I'm done with vacation, so I should be able to put together some RP fairly soon. I also have a desktop to work from. But here are some actions: Can we get sterwardships of Ministry positions? Or are they strictly for city governments?
  11. Hello and Welcome!
  12. Well. Hunger Games number 3. I guess all of my expectations came from reading Mistborn, but that book was pretty bad even when you don't compare it to Sanderson's works. I like to re read books, even ones that I don't necessarily like the endings to, but I will never revisit that one.
  13. I am going to vote for Mailliw. He never did anything to alleviate my suspicions, and I don't remember him addressing any of the points I brought up. Instead, a couple other players just disregarded my post and it seemed to have been a bit forgotten. But with Idolvey dead now, (I assume that was a village kill, but do we know which was which?) his attention there both early in the game and more recently seems a lot more suspect. I am still suspicious of Peng from cycle one, since he hasn't really been active enough to change my perception of him. I think Clanky is a bit suspect for how he reacted to my post against Mailliw, but that doesn't mean much unless Mailliw is actually an eliminator. When I was looking through to find people whose posts connected with Hero and Ren's, before they were revealed, Twelfth stuck out a bit. I don't have anything solid here and don't really want to look back through the first three cycles again, but (he/she?) is my fourth suspect. Im not sure about going through the list of inactive players. If we kill all of the the active eliminators then we will basically have won. And if all of the eliminators are active, then going through the list of inactives simply gives them several turns where they don't have to worry about the lynch. It is far better to use night actions to knock out inactives than the lynch, IMO.
  14. Still on vacation and it hasn't rained during the day yet, so all my time has been on the beach instead of writing RP. So mostly just actions for now. Valeri didn't understand the other houses, particularly those that were attacking each other. Why bring one of the multitude of competing families down if you could raise your own house up above all the others with that same effort? Now, you could steal from another house, many accomplish both, but by now everyone was too paranoid for an allomantic assault to be very effective. She felt like everyone was just playing a game, but if they were, it was a game nobody fully understood the rules of. Her father had a bit of insight into where the Final Empire had been headed, and now House Penrod was on friendly terms with the Steel Ministry, and the Imperial Archive, built during the first years of the Final Empire, was finally being used as a repository for information rather than cobwebs. She called for the House Scribe, Varun. He had survived the same disease that had killed Arandar, and was still as invaluable as ever to the house, if a bit slower. "Yes Mi'lady?" "Varun, send an order to have our paper mill renovated. That old thing has been operating at peak efficiency for a century now and could use a bit of polishing" "Of course." Varun nodded his head in approval. "Is there anything else?" "I don't think... Actually there is something. I'll talk it over with you later, as I suspect that you are the best person for this particular task."
  15. I didn't see Feligon on either of those lists, but he is still alive I think. I am also going to vote on Mailliw, although not solely because of the vote on Idolevy. I explained my reasons during day 6, but Mailliw has a lot of ties to both Hero and Renegade. I would have to go back and look at Orlok to see if there is anything in there as well.
  16. Well, I was under the impression that "dairy" had the connotation of having cows. But yeah, that's what I was aiming for!
  17. Well Clanky, the thing is that in some of the situations I pointed out Mailliw acted first, and in some Hero/Ren acted first. So I doubt any intentional buddying up was going on. Especially since Hero and Ren didn't know they would be ousted so early (I assume). I'm not saying that all of these events are anything besides coincidence, but in the absence of someone making a blatant lie or having contradictory behavior I think we should look toward the information we have from previous lynches and put it to use. Ultimately, the eliminators are working as a team, so we should be able to find some hints of who they are by connecting them to other players. Edit: Now that I re read your post you don't even take into account the possibility that I am right. You just say that you think it is coincidence or even a plot that the eliminators might have had. This actually seems even more suspicious to me than anything I have seen posted this cycle. Mailliw Clanky
  18. Gosh dang it! What the beans! I wrote up some RP for this, then let my iPad for a trip to the beach and when I come back it's all gone... Oh well, I'll at least get an action in. Maybe try and RP when I have a computer again. Action 1: Who: Lady Valeri, as head of House Penrod What: Building a Sheep Milk Factory Thing (may be fatal to the sheep) Where: By the sheep farm, which is on the outskirts of Luthadel Why: To get some food that is different When: First Action
  19. So this is directed to Mailliw, to add to what I posted earlier. This is based off of your connection to ideas presented by Hero/Ren, since the Eliminators are the only people that can coordinate out of the thread. And it may not amount to much, but you are the person that I saw the most connections with. Starting in cycle one, you echoed Renegade's suspicion of Idolevy. You also posted suspicion of Feligon, which Hero then mentioned in his own post shortly afterwards. You missed cycle two, then came back on day 3 and mentioned the PM powers, right after Hero had discussed the same thing. Then you voted for PK, who Hero had also voted for in his previous post. Renegade mentioned suspicion of PK, but didn't vote for his own reasons. Your next post retracts your previous vote, but one of the people you list as suspicious is Leif, who is killed to save an eliminator from the lynch Hero brought up Idolevy again, which is another connection. (Your first post this cycle was a vote for Idolevy as well) Then a vote on Hero, while also voicing a suspicion of Macen. Macen is revealed to be a KR shortly after and Hero is an eliminator. So I'm not saying that you necessarily agreed or disagreed with the eliminators we have discovered. But a lot of the posts you made before they were revealed had some sort of connection with Hero and Ren, and those bits stuck out to me for you more than for any other player.
