  1. I'm done with vacation, and I'll get an analysis post and a real vote down in a couple of hours.
  2. I acknowledge the reference but this game has completely different rules than the MR. A village confirmed doc is a separate world from an anonymous doc almost guaranteed to have an eliminator. That reference was what I found suspicious, because the distinction was pretty clear to me, and seemed like a way to get the village to be too trusting.
  3. I’m sorry, Randuir. I’m too busy right now to look over last cycle, but I thought it would be funny to have the first three posts in a cycle be votes on a player for no reason.
  4. I think I mentioned already, but I’m on vacation until Wednesday and have limited internet. That being said, I am also a little suspicious of Itiah. I’ve refrained from voting for a while because they’ve been active, but we are nearing the end of the cycle and have lots of single votes. Mostly my suspicion comes from what Itiah said about trusting the Synod doc.
  5. @Elandera Did you see Fifth's clarification? My interpretation of the rules was incorrect, and it seems we very much should encourage villagers to use the generic kill action.
  6. I'd guess that one or two of the Synod are elims, which would allow them to potentially gain control of the one-shot kill. I think it's dangerous to think of it as a village doc. I think the Synod is more like a place where an elim could anonymously spread discord. Kinda like a PM that is even better for any elims inside.
  7. The rules say that a limited number of actions will go through in a given night. So it seems like if everyone in the village sends in a non-kill action, the chances of a second kill going through are slim. If we assume that there are 4 elims, then they would get 3 generic action orders after the kill. If X actions go through in a given night, and there are V village actions sent in and E elim actions, then the odds of at least one elim action succeeding are: 1 - (V!/(V - X)!)/((V + E)!/((V + E) - X)!). So if X=1, then there is a 1/6 chance of a second kill going through. At X=4 it's just over 50% odds. If X goes past 8 then the second kill is basically guaranteed. But if X is large then the village could send in a lot of protection actions or something. So we might want to stay away from the kill initially, and then start using it once we both have more information, and there are higher odds of it going through for the elims. Squid/Steel.
  8. Valywn pondered where the best place to begin peddling his rugs was. He found a crossroads and was about to begin unloading his wares when a steel sculpture of some tentacled beast reminiscent of a miniature mistwraith appeared right in the spot he was planning to use. Valywn turned in shock and went to report the occurrence to the Synod, and to ask them to have the Squid removed.
  9. My apologies, I'm on vacation and didn't have time to make a signup post. Valywn is signing up, and I'll probably not have time to develop him much for a week or so.
  10. Well, this game was fun for the very short time I lasted. I can't comment much on the mechanics since I died too early :/.
  11. This was a lot of fun! Thanks to @Fifth Scholar and @Seonid for GMing! I enjoyed working with Mr. Doctor and Itiah, although I had no idea who they were until the end. Also great work Bort! I don't know what we would have done if I hadn't hit you with a scan when I did. Edit: I just read through the spec doc, skimming some of it. One thing I'd like to comment on is Bort's use of IRL stuff to excuse his missing our test. I was pretty okay with that happening, because I didn't want the test to be a 100% way to catch the elim, since that would have made the EBI impossible to infiltrate. As for not scanning Vulture when we lynched them, I still wasn't certain of the elim team composition. It didn't really cross my mind as a possibility that the Kandra might have an extra life. Also, I now know to make sure to read all the text in my GM PM. I had no idea that I had a scan role until after Mauve mentioned that they had access to one.
  12. Well, oops. I thought there were another 24 hours left in the cycle, otherwise I would have voted sooner. I say we kill Bort, since he posted cycle 1, but didn't vote and hasn't posted this cycle. That sort of activity only helps the elims win, regardless of alignment. Also, I guess I'll reveal this now. I have a poison vial, and I'm going to use it during the night on a random low active or inactive player. If that player becomes active (meaning that they vote and discuss) during the day, I'll send them a PM so that they can cure themselves. I'll make sure to tag players during the day to make sure that nobody is just forgetting.
  13. @Snipexe I was reacting to this statement by Devotary: My opinion was reactionary, rather than based on known alignments, and I tried to make that clear in my original post. However, I just now picked up on the fact that Xino had already posted earlier. I had thought that Devotary was trying to save someone that hadn't posted at all. Things make a little more sense to me now. Devotary. And sorry @xinoehp512 for voting on you after you had posted.
  14. Still, if Devotary is village, they shouldn't care who gets lynched D1 all that much.
  15. I'm going to vote on Devotary. Defending an inactive player during a D1 lynch doesn't sit well with me. I understand that Xino was killed D1 in the last QF by random selection, so that gives some small reason to defend him. But we don't really have anything else to go on.
  16. I'm gonna switch from Walin to Xinoehp512. I don't like DoS having an opinion between 2 inactives.
  17. Fade waved vaguely towards Dorder (Walin). "Sneaky. Fade think he is spying."
  18. “Everyone look out!” Thalin yelled. Fade stumbled forward when he heard the warning, accidentally blundering right into the spider. The beast reared up, preparing to strike, but Fade tripped over Thalin's axe and fell heavily, the weight of his armor and weapons striking the spider's body. There was a sickening crunch as the carapace shattered, spraying Fade liberally with gore. He looked blearily up at the dwarf and mumbled, "Fade help?"
  19. Yeah, we kinda figured. Interestingly, I pulled Tin the next cycle, and wanted to give the name of the "scanned elim". But we didn't know the lurcher yet and Soothing was important, so I had to send in the kill.
  20. These rules are the same as the ones used in the first LG and all the anniversary games. All of those games have been lost by the village.
  21. I was hoping that if I claimed thug, you guys would hold off for a cycle since lynching me wouldn't do anything without a Coinshot. But there wasn't any way to win. I just wanted to kill you or Lopen after Itiah was dead.
