  1. I'll sign up as Aurylass, an old lady with no tolerance for foolishness.
  2. I probably lost that by the fact that everyone knew my alignment by the second cycle. Guess I’m losing my touch.
  3. There is a GM PM where requests usually go out. I think Fifth would have to add you to it (although it really is more for GMs than co-GMs, I think).
  4. Thanks for GMing @A Joe in the Bush! I was sorry to have to step out so soon, but it was fun to watch the rest of the game unfold.
  5. I joined the shard 7 years ago when I was bored in a high school class held in a computer lab. For a while I skimmed the theories, but now I mostly hang out in the Sanderson Elimination subforum. All of my favorite memories of the shard are pretty much attached to SE. My favorite memory of a game is the first anniversary game. My character, Aralis, was a grumpy old skeptic who died here. Then, us dead folks got together in a google doc to help our GM do an amazing writeup for the death of @little wilson here. In general, the subforum (and the forum in general) has been a great place to hang out throughout the years, regardless of how much time I have to spend on it. Perhaps my proudest moment was winning the Steelheart Bad Metaphor contest with the following (probably helped by the fact I was the first to post): If I could relive a day, it would probably be doing the Shardhunt (I don't think this is possible to do anymore, sadly, since the site update a while back). For the newer members of the forum, this was as site-wide scavenger hunt with the reward being a bunch of downloadable goodies, including a Metallic Arts Table that was my desktop background until recently. Great way to spend a boring class at school .
  6. I had a village read on Pyro before last cycle, but it’s a bit stronger now. I also agree that Exp is looking more village with Drake flipping village. Drake was the main voice against the Exp lynch, so if he flipped elim I would feel differently, but I don’t think it’s suspicious that Exp survived. I got a village read from Karnage’s original vote on me, but his lack of activity since then has put him closer to neutral. I’m mostly interested in the people who have been posting but not arguing for things in the thread. People in this category include Emi, Ventyl, Lahilt, Matrim, and maybe some others I didn’t notice. Also, Shard’s last post in the last cycle rubbed me the wrong way. He accused people voting on Exp of having flimsy reasons (of course we did, it was C2), and IMO was too confident that we were going for a mislynch. However, he followed up with a vote on me, when I wasn’t really up for the lynch, as Drake had just followed my switch to Kynedath. That doesn’t fit too well with wanting to save Exp, but it could fit with just wanting to cast suspicion around.
  7. Hey. I was legitimately suspicious of Drake, and had the circumstances been a little different, would gladly have voted on him. You should be careful thinking you know someone's alignment that well after 2 cycles, especially someone as skilled as Drake.
  8. @Experience, @Karnage, could I convince either of you to vote on Kynedath? While I'm not sure about Drake's alignment, I also don't really agree with some of the reasons people have for voting on him currently.
  9. I'm not sure that reading C1 is entirely worth the bother. You can probably catch most of what happened from the night turn plus what's been posted today. And you won't have to deal with the fluff posts everywhere.
  10. This. Supposing one or more of Walin/Hatz/TGK are elims. Why bother killing them? If we took out all the other elims, and those players are still inactive, either Striker would call the game there, or we'd notice the lack of submitted elim kills and take them out ourselves. @Walin, @ILuvHats, @The_God_King, I'm not sure if you've been pinged this cycle, but here is a friendly Contribution Crusade reminder. I have something of a gut read on Kynedath, and am also trying to find common ground with Drake.
  11. Apologies, that came out wrong. It would have been better to say that I've been backing the major lynch targets both cycles, and that it seems that some people have voted based on my posts rather than anything Coda/Experience have actually done. Edit: Wow, ninja'd by several posts. @DrakeMarshall, I think I may have managed to misunderstand most of what you said. That being said, do you honestly think that I am the best lynch option for this cycle, or that there are even enough people willing to vote on me to lynch me? If so, then we are cool (except for the part where you want to lynch me ). Exp voted on Joe, mentioned the votes on Mist, and was part of the post war C1. These are all things that I find mildly suspicious. However, I am uncomfortable with the amount of unoriginal reasoning behind most of the votes this cycle. I'll switch from Exp to Kynedath, although if Drake and/or anyone else doesn't follow, I might have to move my vote elsewhere. I'm not liking the votes on Emi or Walin, I disagree with the vote on Karnage, and wish that @xinoehp512 could pop in and say some more stuff.
  12. There are still over 2 hours left in the cycle. That should be enough time to do some analysis, assuming you aren't too busy IRL. Even if it doesn't keep you alive, it could help the rest of us out (or it could all be lies and elim dastardlyness). I don't think anyone could have had cash before the start of the game, and I didn't get any extra from Coda.
  13. I don't know what Exp's playstyle is, so I'm certainly not voting on them for that. Also, why would people who voted on Coda be suspicious? I stand by my vote. Kynedath has been low active, and was one of the people to comment on the 3 votes on Mist C1, which I think an elim would be more likely to do. I'm not sure why Drake is suspicious of Kynedath.
  14. Well, part of the problem seems too be that I seem to be dictating who we lynch. Both the lynch on Coda and the current lynch on Experience have been largely prompted by things I've posted (this is why I have Pyro as a slight village read, since he set up the lynch swing D1, and Coda was village). I can't really set up opposing lynch trains by myself, and everyone (or almost everyone? I haven't checked the count since Striker posted it) not voting Exp seems content to waste their vote on a target with no other votes, while not trying very hard to convince others to join them. I can't be suggesting that because Coda flipped village. Also, I thought that your worry of Elim!Exp not getting lynch was based on the swing last cycle, and thus that you thought the same set of people involved then would do it now (or at least that they might be involved). The point is, your worry of Elim!Exp not getting lynched seems very unfounded to me, because it would be a major risk to the elim team very early in the game, more so because of the swing the previous cycle and my drawing attention to the fact here. I think it's also a bad assumption that since X group of villagers mislynched last cycle, X group will mislynch again this cycle. It seems like village!Drake would propose an alternate lynch option rather than defending Exp, who I think we have a legitimate reason to suspect. I don't think very many people find me that suspicious, despite the smattering of votes that have been moving on and off me. Of the people on your last suspicion list, I'd be most willing to vote on Kynedath, followed by Magestar (although he's been relatively active, so I'd prefer Kynedath). Edit: I suppose this conversation has been good for my wallet, since my usual posts are more in the 50-100 word length, so thanks!
  15. Oh. Well, again, that seems like a rather risky ploy to go for during the second cycle of them game, pulling 2 lynch swings with the same set of people.
  16. (bold mine). How do you mean? Also, why is is bad if the same set of people are willing to lynch Exp as the ones that voted Coda? If said group is elim, then they are being super obvious and we could find out by lynching one of them. If they are village, then they are just making an honest attempt at a lynch, unlike everyone else who is content to not vote or to vote on a non-target and then forgo further engagement with the lynch.
  17. Oh yeah, in response to @Ventyl's post on me: While I appreciate the village read, just about everything I've done this game along the lines of promoting discussion and analysis should probably be NAI for me. Regardless of my alignment, I enjoy trying to cultivate a meta where everyone is discussing things. I just have a lot more fun that way (although maybe I try to help out less if I'm an elim ).
  18. Hmm. There are players that have votes on them. Could you give your thoughts on some or all of those players?
  19. @Emi do you think you could provide some brief thoughts on a few of the other players that have votes on them, or that others have expressed suspicion of?
  20. Seems like nobody else is going to support my suspicion of Magestar, so I’ll switch onto Experience, who is my greatest suspicion. Also, if Exp flips elim, then I’ll be rather suspicious of Pyro and everyone else talking about lynching an inactive.
  21. I partly disagree here. While reads lists may not be helpful for generating lots of discussion, they do help players see where they might agree on a lynch. Also, once a player dies, their list becomes more informative. If they were an elim, their village reads are worth looking into. If they flip village, then you know that the reads are honest.
  22. I don't think you made a coherent enough argument against me to defend from. You mostly said that you didn't understand if what I was doing was part of my playstyle or not. Also, I don't think enough people have me on their suspicion radar that there is any pressure to defend. I think I also had a slight suspicion of Ventyl, but I can't recall what it was for, I'll have to go back and check. However, a lack of substantial contribution to this cycle's lynch discussion is a bit of a red flag.
  23. The two main things I have against Experience are the early vote on Joe, and a comment on Mist having 3 votes. Also, Experience was invovled in the most posts war, and I'm mildly suspicious of everyone there (at least more than if they weren't). They are both sort of small things, which can probably be explained easily. But I still feel like an elim would be more likely to do each of them. @The Young Pyromancer The elims are basically guaranteed to get the lerasium if they want it, since they can pass boxings, and steal 20% on kills. They don't need a thief. I'd also like to echo the call for @Lahilt to explain the vote on Experience. I doubt you have the same reasons for voting on them as I did. Also, for what it's worth, either Xino is trying to fool everyone, or he's a Gasper. Each of his D1 posts that I looked at had exactly 200 words (ignoring the quotes), which means he gets cash, and can still store. He also, by my incomplete tally, probably has more money than any living player as well. @DrakeMarshall could you clarify the difference between "no read" and "neutral"? Also, I feel like Karnage has been involved enough to get a read on, so I'm curious why you have no read on him.
