  1. If the choice is between Elandera and Condensation, it’s pretty easy. Elandera sort of fits my personal “be helpful vote a lot” elim profile, but she isn’t me, and I instead think she is genuinely trying to solve the game. Connie just hasn’t contributed as much substantive content. There are reasons, such as IRL stuff and relatively little experience, but I get more of a “don’t lynch me” rather than a “what can I do to win” from her. I’m uncomfortable with Danex’s vote on Elandera as well, although Liranil’s fits a bit better. My elim team would probably be 2 of Connie, Danex, and Vapor, plus 1 of Gears and Archer. Elandera could also go in that last slot, since I think someone on the elim team is spending a lot of time to figure out who to douse that won’t get lynched.
  2. I'm not going to have time to figure out my vote tonight, just as a heads up for everyone. I'll try and get one in tomorrow with at least a couple of hours left in the cycle for discussion.
  3. Hmm. I don't think an elim would cancel a vote on Quinn. Especially since I agree with Fura about Quinn being whatever that acronym is. That means most likely an elim canceled the vote on Ventyl.
  4. I'm used to the LG format where I can vote early, switch after a day or so (or not switch), and then have plenty of time to continue doing analysis. I start with a gut vote and then try and do something better when I have more time. I didn't really have much gut to on on this cycle thougn. I'll switch from Archer to Vapor. I'm sort of uncomfortable voting alongside Experience, although I do want to know if last cycle was v/v or v/e. Still, there are 8 players left who haven't voted, so I'm happy to vote for Vapor now and see how things play out.
  5. I apologize for my lack of posting this cycle. I should be active from now to cycle end. I don’t really have any village reads right now (maybe Connie?) but I find Experience suspicious, along with players that are skating along with minimal activity. I’m also thinking it might be worthwhile to lynch Archer, since there was pretty good vote participation last cycle, and getting a flip on Archer would be good. Not to mention I find it odd that nobody else is interested in an Archer lynch this cycle. One benefit to lynching a low active player is that if we are wrong, the elims are somewhat incentivized to douse those players. I don’t really have anything to say to TJ, except that I’m not used to the QF format, so my votes aren’t quite as well justified. I guess I’ll vote Archer. I’d be up for an Experience (maybe? Archer is voting here, which complicates things), Vapor, or Silber lynch as well.
  6. Hmm. I'd be happy to lynch Experience as well, but nobody else seemed to want to join me on that front.
  7. Experience. While recognizing that I have a strong bias on the subject of votes, I an not inclined to find Archer suspicious, and instead would prefer to lynch SfS. In particular, I would say that the recent streak of elim wins has been due to lower voting activity from villagers (this si coming from someone who used the lack of village votes in the last 2 games to pull out an elim win). I also am not a fan of the lynch on Elandera, although maybe I just don't understand it. This is the post that rubs me wrong. An overly hasty clear of Illwei and a disagreement with lots of voting. The vote on Vapor is also pointless. Ninja'd by Illwei.
  8. This doesn’t look accidental to me, @Ookla the Grammatical. There is context here, and you were referring to a specific person’s read on you, but my point about your emphasis on what you have said about your alignment still holds. In this game we are what we do, rather than what we say we are.
  9. I’m going to switch from Condensation to Ventyl. This post rubs me wrong, like Ventyl knows Connie will flip village and wants to get a mislynch on Fura afterward. It also might be an attempt to pocket me, since I make up 50% of the votes currently on Connie. This does lessen my suspicion of Connie somewhat. I have also become increasingly more suspicious of Quinn for being very defensive this cycle. @Ookla the Grammatical, I think the main thing that I was reading elim C1 was that you repeatedly insisted you were village. You also insisted you weren’t Truthless, and then implied that if anyone thought you weren’t Truthless, then they should also think you were village.
  10. My reasoning is that I was suspicious of you last cycle and not very much has changed. I didn't like the tone of your posts. Maybe I'm confusing with someone else, but it might have been that you were too quick to read someone as village.
  11. This makes more sense. I didn't make the connection that those two give Abrasion. I think I would also have expected someone thanking for PMs to post during the Night turn. Anyway, I guess I'll move from Quinn to Grammatical.
  12. I'm not sure about the reference to Chanarach, but Vedel gives progression and was almost certainly responsible for the blocked kill.
  13. I only actually bussed Ash in LG69. I did put the rest of my team on my suspicion list (and then proceeded to vote for the only villager on said list), but that isn’t quite bussing. For now I’m going to vote on Condensation/Grammatical. I’ll try and do a thorough reread of a few folks’ posts, but I definitely wa still suspicious of Connie by the end of last cycle. Actually, hold that. I’m voting for Quinn. This is a pretty clear instance of Thanking the Doctor, which is a common elim tell.
  14. I'm going to vote on Experience/Ookla the Shadowed again, for the same reasons as last cycle. I've explained my thoughts on Gears across several games, and the fact remains that if you say before the start of a game that you are going to do something, and then you do it, that is by definition NAI behavior.
  15. I'm going to switch my vote to Ookla the Shadowed/Experience. And I'll agree with Quinn/disagree with Elandera on this one as well. There is a difference between what Gears has been doing and what has occurred in past games. Gears is not an outed elim trying to survive. He's just a troll. Claiming elim the start of every game is no different than claiming village at the start of every game. It's pointless and NAI, and not a good reason for a vote. I've held this same stance in several of tthe games I've played with Gears. I'd much rather lynch him for something that can give us information, than kill him D1 every single game. Edit: Ninja'd by Archer
  16. Lynch or Lose. It's the point where the village has to get every lynch right until the game ends.
  17. Yes, as long as Alvron is alive, he will be more than happy to create a tie. In his words, "Let the Gods of Luck and Chance decide!"
  18. You are an epic, so as long as you are murdering lots of folks, you are probably doing something right .
  19. Fura is right that there is (or briefly was) some hostility in the current LG about this topic, and I agree that playstyles have been a significant point of contention in our community historically. I would say that if you find yourself mentioning a playstyle negatively in a post in-game, you should consider first whether you find that behavior to be annoying versus harmful. In the former case, just don’t mention it. We should also be flexible with people trying out new things. If I try becoming a PM spider like Burnt, I don’t want to immediately get lynched for it. Just because someone is trying out something new doesn’t mean we should lynch them.
  20. My rule for myself is to vote every cycle. It helps me stay more involved in the game. But you will need to find what works best for you. I do think voting becomes more important as the game progresses, and also that the more cycles you go without participating in the lynch, the harder it can be to get caught up on things. I personally am not a fan of poke votes, and instead try to find posts that look like they came from an elim mindset. Logic isn’t required (my first vote this cycle wasn’t super detailed), although more explanation behind your vote will usually generate more discussion.
  21. Do what you can. LGs are good for when you don’t have a lot of time, since you can get by with a couple of posts every 72 hours. My advice would be to focus on posts where people are voting, and posts where they list their reads. I’d also encourage you to vote as much as possible (and that you feel comfortable with).
  22. Guess I’ll vote on Joe. It’s been a while since I played a QF, so @ me if I’m not posting enough. The only thing I have to say about the rules is that LyLo will be C5 if we don’t get any elims before then, and they don’t research any players that get lynched. No point in telling the elims the optimal way to kill us all.
