  1. I think that is what most people think of when they say Shardspear. But lets agree to call it a Shard-ashandarei from now on, because Matrim Cauthon.
  2. I don't know, Feather, it kind of sounds like he's referring to something that actually happened. Renarin is a bit quick to declare it a lie before Wit is even finished. He might not have had a threesome (though I am from now on just going to assume he did), but something did definitely happen there to illicit Renarin's premature blushing.
  3. I do not see that. The Dakhor monks have their own internal bones twisted and strengthened and used as a quasi-armour, and seem to be able access the Dor through the patterns they form. Parshendi grow their own carapaces and are able to swiftly change forms through bonding different types of Spren. Dakhor are Germanic-ish in complexion and build, while Parshendi have marble like skin of red, black and/or white. Also, one of these are hell-bent on subjugating all of Sel to their own tyrannical theocracy, while the other just seem to want to survive and goes about things more or less honourably. But in that they both have similar-ish grown armour, sure. They are totally alike! EDIT: Hmm. Pardon me for sounding a bit harsher than intended. Might I ask you what similarities you were referring to?
  4. Why are we still discussing crocodiles and kittens? DRAGONS, DUDES! WHO BREATHES PUPPIES!
  5. Just up-voting to counter the unnecessary down-vote. Myself, I'm more in the "Kaladin will get a Shardspear" camp.
  6. Being our resident Renarin scholar, do you think Hoid was joking here? Or is Renarin really secretly awesome? (Well, I guess we already new that, but, you know, even more awesomer?)
  7. Buy. But I mostly just want him to speak with Shallan in his Wit persona. Tarah is still alive and comes to screw around with Kaladin's new life when Amaram arrives.
  8. Well, I can do it for you if you'd like, but is it really necessary?
  9. Shard of decency, with a magic system that grants powers for acting like a stiff-lipped Englishman. ("Jolly good, sir. Now would you kindly let me skewer you with this sword?")
  10. I am familiar with those. However, they do not at any point refer to the ruins as Urithiru and could just as easily be leftovers of an old Natanatan city
  11. Welcome to the 17th shard! And no, I don't think you're completely off mark. At least not based on the information we currently have. And you've caught on to the basic idea anyway. Something is different about Shinovar, but we're only really able to guess what it might be at this point.
  12. Ah! Point! Do we know if Sazed did any tinkering with them at all?
  13. I love the twist this discussion took. And I do believe BOTH sides would have super-soldiers. Arguably, the south wouldn't have feruchemists, but they would have allomancers.
  14. A good and working relationship then. I tend to have a rather turbulent and inconsistent one with my mine.
  15. They take appearances that reflects their nature, it seems. Just because he looks like a bunch of talking vines doesn't mean that he is physical, moving plants. From what I understand - despite what one might intuitively think - he is still mostly spiritual/cognitive.
  16. Some do, but Brandon has been particularly vague on that account: There is also another quote somewhere where Brandon says that "something is definitely going on there" or something pertaining to his short joust with Jost, but he did not want to specify if it was the Thrill or not. (see what I did there?)
  17. I can't find the quote, but it has been confirmed that the "Dragonwasps" in the background of the Surge-chart are indeed Larkin. Also, I would recommend you to do the Shard-hunt, as you'll get more information about the them from the full Lift Interlude you'll find after having finished the hunt.
  18. It can be quite Obnoxious how some of these threads just don't want to Die. My notification box Keeps getting Flooded By Long Dead threads being Resuscitated. EDIT: Wait... I seem to have thoroughly misunderstood something.........
  19. It is a really cool idea, though, and it might not be entirely wrong. We'll see when WoR comes out.
  20. It should be worth noting that the Thrill and that which made Dalinar sick are most likely two different things. The Thrill is something Lighteyes (it has not been confirmed that Darkeyes feel it too) when they're fighting that makes them revel in and take pleasure from slaughtering enemy combatants. It is assumed to be a creation of Odium to subtly influence humanity into becoming its own worst enemy, and given Dalinar's new-found moral values, his body now seems to reject it.
  21. Woah! Spoiler-tags, buddy! This is not general knowledge, but from the WoR-readings. Unless you're in the Words of Radiance forum, always use [spolier]<your text>[/spolier] (misspelled intentionally) for information such as this. EDIT: I do not get why I had this entire thing in spoiler-tags.
  22. You seem to be seriously campaigning for up-votes these days xD. Didn't want to give you another one, but you tend to be so damned funny!
  23. Maybe it would supercharge his powers? That would be awesome! But yeah, he won't take the Blade.
  24. Brandon has quite clearly stated (in Mistborn: TFE annotations) that he dislikes being dishonest with PoV chapters. It's unfair to mislead the readers away from the plot-twists by changing how the PoV-characters think in their own chapters (Kelsier was a sort of special case and an exception). While I almost wish he was, I think Teft's PoV chapters largely disproves that he could be a Herald. Reread the ones where he feeds Kaladin Stormlight if you disagree and where he watches him charge the Parshendi and then get back to me.
