  1. Ah, ok. Never-mind then. And I am hoping for "The God Beyond" even though 1. I do not think that concept was well known when the achievements were made, and 2. We're not currently sure if it is referring to the force opposing Adonalsium or Adonalsium itself. Or maybe just Devil Spren or something.
  2. Here is a thread where someone already made a down-votable profile. Go nuts, guys! EDIT: Currently confirmed achivements: 4 to -1: 17th Shard Trainée -2 to -4: Negaspren -5 to ?: Lifeless EDIT: I have to go cook, now, so please keep track of what your own down-votes do. I'll update the list later.
  3. And who are behind this Avatar of Down-votingness? Also, you should make like 10 double-posts or something, so that we can get you enough downvotes. EDIT: Um, why do I deserve a down-vote? Do what you will with my posts outside of this thread, but here I'd rather see you use your quota on theFallGuy. EDIT 2: Ah thanks to the one up-voting me again. I assume it might have been a mistake since this post is located just under theFallGuy's first post. But I am rather defensive about my up-votes, so please try to avoid doing so by mistake, guys! (Though, if it is warranted, feel free to knock yourselves out!).
  4. Thanks to both of you. Just give me one or two and I'll make sure to keep an eye out for the rest.
  5. No, it would not. From what I understand, hair colour is uniformly determined by one (group) of genes. Mutations could alter the cells of the individual roots, but this would happen rarely and randomly and not in organized clusters the Rosharans seem to have. This would be awesome. But could you provide the quote? I do not remember Dalinar using it.
  6. I'd certainly like to see that.
  7. I like this scenario. It fits with what we know and explains some of the discrepancies. Time will tell if it's Brandon-y enough of a twist. EDIT: But if it is irreversible, then where did the untainted Parshendi come from? Also, if this is close to the truth, then maybe the Parshendi killed Gavilar because he wanted to let the Parshmen bond Spren again? I am not sure how the Black Sphere fits into this, though. Unless that was what he planned to bond them with.
  8. Ah, pardon. It seemed like that first line was aimed at me. Though obscurely so, now that I think about it.
  9. I do not think the appearance of a new magic system in itself would warrant writing the story three decades into the future. It's not as if he have thoroughly explored all parts of Sel; he can just retroactively write it into the world somewhere.
  10. I think it is too early for them to die off. Unless they *cough*Nalan*cough* attack any of the main characters. Then I'm hedging my bets.
  11. Under our avatar (picture), there are dots with "members" written over them. What are do they signify?
  12. I do not agree with your premise, but that's beside the point. I wasn't trying to mock MadRand in any way, just illustrating that we should read too much into Moash's oath, as it is rather generic in its form. And in the very next post I am quite clearly mocking myself for my rather blatant lack of commitment to my own precepts. EDIT: Going to take a page out of Jit's book here and quote Alcatraz Versus the Evil Librarians: But yeah, that might not have been my best attempt at it.
  13. I have trouble finding what you say ominous or scary with that indolent fish staring at it.
  14. First of all, the idea that the "void-binding" chart represents animals isn't new. Secondly, if it is a chart representing animals, it does not necessarily follow the exact same pattern in terms of Order association as the Herald- and Surgebinding-chart.
  15. If we have no WoB on the 30 year gap, then where does this guess come from? I don't remember any particular references to this in the book.
  16. Szeth did it in the Interlude where he attacks the court of the King of Jah Keved. He uses a Full Lashing on a part of the floor, and all of the enemy guards that walk on it get glued to the floor. It is not clear how long it lasts, but I'd guess it could only last just about as long as Szeth can hold Stormlight. EDIT: Which is to say just a few minutes.
  17. A common theory is that it is placed high up on a mountain somewhere that is only reachable through Oathgates or surgebinding. But an island might work just as well.
  18. Guys, this is borderline thread-necroing. Strike that: it is. Unless you have some new information to add to the discussion, I think the moderators would prefer you to open up a new thread.
  19. I wonder how steel pushing would interact with his reverse lashing. If he used both at once with equal(ish) strength, would arrows stop in the air, fall to the ground or just fly around randomly in circles in front of him?
  20. So, even if you're proven to be right, you'll continue until you get blue?
  21. I don't necessarily think it is technically a magical power to be able to see Nahel-bonded Spren, I just think it is a side effect of either having a higher amount of innate investiture or of being more attuned to said investiture. That or lowlanders really are airsick and being able to see them is actually meant to be the standard.
  22. That passage always made me think that Hoid's ultimate goal is to reassemble Adonalsium. Not much to go on, especially considering he hasn't really been that successful up to this point (unless you count Sazed's ascension as an intended success for Hoid.
  23. @Chaos, would it be cheating to create a new account just so we can collectively down-vote it? I'll make another one if you'd permit me.
  24. And both are favourites of mine! Also, I find this comparison amusing, considering how much difficulty he had in writing Mat.
  25. Some people suggest that the old(er?) lady walking around the Palaneum is one of the Heralds. Palah, most likely if so. But then again, any number of characters randomly mentioned might be one. Brandon is such a bastard when it comes to obscure Easter-eggs and foreshadowing.
