Scandalous Navani's return! I've missed this. Excellent work as always. When can we expect the next installment?

What's YOUR Talent?

My talent is not recognizing anyone. It could be forgetting their name and calling them something entirely different or just not remembering their face. I'm not entirely sure how that would be useful though. -

No I already know most systems work off world and its difficult to access. I was just wondering how difficult it would be for the children seeing as even Hoid has a bit of difficulty accessing it and how powerful can they be off world.

Right that escalated quickly! But what about using the magic off the original shard world? Both Hoid and Vasher needed to "hack" into the magic systems to be able to adapt them. That's why Hoid needed the moon specter and since he's from Yolen he is probably the only person in the cosmere that has a link to all shardwords.

As there are a fair share of Worldhoppers running around the Cosmere causing trouble it can easily be assumed that a romance between individuals from different Shardwords is highly likely. So my questions is that what magic system would the children be able to use and how it affects them? From what I understand, there could be 2 types of pairings: 1 Worldhopper and 1 member of the Shardworld that they are on (more likely) and 2 world hoppers who are an on a Shardworld that isn't either of their homeplanets (less likely). Each of these pairings could lead to a complicated Spiritual DNA for the offspring so what happens to them? Can they use both magic systems on their home-planet or only on the planet that the magic system originates? If they end up being born on a different planet than their parents original planet will they be able to use that magic system (e.g. Child born on Sel from a father from Roshar and Mother from Scadrial)? If the child of 2 worldhoppers on a different shard world doesn't world hop what happens to them if they can't access the magic system? So, thoughts?

The Old Kingdom series is definitely Cosmere. Death has the feel of the Cognitive Realm and the stars after the 9th Gate could be the Spiritual Realm. Plus chaining Orannis and limiting his power is like what Preservation did to Ruin. The magic systems fit nicely in with the other worlds as well. Seriously, if Garth Nix hadn't written those books years before Brandon I would have sworn he was being influenced by him but maybe it was the other way around! Hey, maybe that's why in Alcatraz vs the Scrivener's Bones he tries to through the scent off him and says : "If you happen to fall into that last category, you should know that my name isn’t really Alcatraz Smedry, nor is it Brandon Sanderson. My name is really Garth Nix, and you can find me in Australia. Oh, and I insulted your mother once. What’re you going to do about it, huh?" Possibly the best line I've ever read in a book ever

Man... I thought I was being smart. I forgot Brandon plans EVERYTHING. That first link was from 2008!!!!! I know atium is special and random in hemalurgy but how do we know they don't decay? Not rituals per say... more like you have to spike the people in specific areas, it involves lots of suffering and the spike has to be in contact with blood and it steals a bit of their spiritual DNA.

Did TLR spike himself? I always thought that since he had one of the original beads he didn't need to enhance any of his abilities and he had the bracelets imbedded in his flesh so no one could push or pull on it. Or are you saying that the bracelets can be used as spikes for someone else? Isn't Hemalurgy a lost art by this point. Are the spikes even hemalurgically charged since they have been outside his body for so long and they weren't made using the rituals?

Tan can be dark. It's dependent on what you consider dark. Anyway I always thought that Yolen was destroyed or no one really lived there after the shattering. The only people we know that are defiantly from Yolen are Hoid and the original 16 shardholders.

This is just EPIC! So how do you do spoiler tags?

I don't know tbh. But Shallan does think that Iyatil is short and she is 5' 6", so I'm sure Iyatil short by our standards since she's shorter than that.
