  1. I'm still reeling. I need time to gather my thoughts Well now we know that Khriss is researcher at the University of Starlight. I always thought that she was just doing research for herself since she's been exiled. Also we know what Lift wanted from the Nightwatcher... Not to change. But this doesn't explain why she gets stormlight from food or that she is partially in the cognitive realm. Any ideas?
  2. I thought that Arclo was a voidbringer before he mentioned Axies to be honest. Could they somehow be related though?
  3. I think it was the fabrial used to heal Szeth that was different. Lift had only said 2 oaths at that point so maybe the she hadn't "advanced" enough to heal the girl. Maybe now that she's said 3 oaths she could use her powers better.
  4. One wonders what other scandalous things he taught her
  5. Oh. My. GOD. that ending. I was actually crying. I didn't even notice Bastille's letter until I saw it mentioned here. A proper reread is definitely needed. I have no words. On a brighter note death by Avada Kedavra and being sued by J. K. Rowling would be quite awesome I think. Now being chased by sparkly vampires should have defiantly been number one on that list!
  6. I get the same error message. Is there any way to fix it?
  7. It breaks my heart that Heir of the Void has abandoned us again...
  8. I think everyone is forgetting the most important quote of all: here are a few others: This last one is a few paragraphs long but it's so awesome I have to write it out in its entirety: Any Anyway it's a pity we can't quote any non-Cosmere books since everything that Alcatraz says is pure gold
  9. By this logic, all the Heralds that broke the Oathpact are villains. But I do agree that Darkness is very twisted.
  10. So... Where's Hoid? Has anyone spotted him in White Sand? I know he has a grudge against Bavadin but that couldn't possibly stop him from visiting his planet, right?
  11. Did the Darkside have any magic though (by that I mean magic that we have seen in action)? It's been a while since I read White Sand but I don't remember any mention of it. I do think that you're right though and the magic could be location based like that of Sel.
  12. Brilliant! I'll take that as even being more awesome than before ... so how soon is "soon"?
  13. When will the next part come out??????
  14. Wow. I never actually considered that they were the ones going through the shardpool. I mean I know they went to the sharpool to worldhop to get to the cognitive realm not the really old ones who wanted to die. I thought that people who willingly went to the shardpool to die just dissolved and went the "beyond". So are you suggesting that they are the Elantrians that wanted to die or the Hoeds that Raoden took to the pool?
  15. I wonder what would it be? Maybe iamdefinitelynotbrandonsanderson?
  16. So we know that the cognitive realm in Scadrial is covered in mists. We already knew that the cognitive realm in Roshar is filled with spears. From this we can assume that the cognitive realm in each shardworld appears to be covered in the manifestation of their shard's power in the physical world. So will the cognitive realm look on other shardworlds? I believe Sel's cognitive realm would be at least partially covered in Aons and other symbols for the other magic systems on the planet whilst Nalthis could be covered in colors since I'm not sure how breath would look there. As for other shardworlds I have no idea at all. Maybe the minor shardworlds' will look like like a mixture of other major worlds nearby of just one or completely different. So any ideas or thoughts?
  17. I just assumed that maybe Kelsier looked like Vax and Ati free from Ruin's influence thought he was Kelsier.
  18. I'd say they were newer Elantrians actually. Sel is the most cosmere aware planet and Elantris happened before the mistborn trilogy. If they are an aged version then why would they want a new shard anyway? Devotion probably wasn't splintered then. It makes more sense for them to want a new shard's power if Devotion is splinterd they want to fix the harm done. Anyway, I assumed they were old because they were away fro Sel. Remember the Elantrians magic system is based on their location. Maybe these Elantrians are kind of having an incomplete Shaod. They are between worlds and don't have a working connection to investiture at the moment. The glowing stuff gives them enough investiture that they don't become completely useless but it's not ideal. I actually thin k the glowing stuff is liquid from their shard pool but I could be wrong.
  19. OMG I'M FAN GIRLING SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH RIGHT NOW! OH BRANDON YOU MAGNIFICENT CREATURE. HOW DO YOU PRODUCE SUCH PERFECTION?????? Now onto ramblings: Seriously though this book had me laughing and crying simultaneously. I've missed the crew so much and now we get to see most of them? It brought back the magic of the original books. So the cognitive realm looks different in each sharldword. In Roshar it's filled with spheres and in Scadrial it's mists.Does this mean that in Sel it would be filled with Aons and Colours in Nalthis? Kelsier and Hoid fighting was absolutely hilarious. I can't believe Docks would curse Kelsier though. Was that Fuzz being mean? We now know why Spook was interested in Hemalurgy. It was Kelsier all along Why wouldn't Sazed help Kelsier return to the physical realm? What happened to the soul Hoid was using as a raft? Who were the smugglers who used Ruin's well and what were they smuggling? What's up with the Ire and them not being dead? I thought Vax was a planet. Did Ati think he was on it or that Kelsier looked like him? Also did he become the "kind and generous man" again that was mentioned in the letter after he died? Were the Elantians trying to get preservation cause both their shards where shattered and take the shard back to Sel? I'm sure I'll remember more stuff but right now I'm basking too much in the glow after finishing a cosmere novel and novella to digest the book properly.
  20. WOW this was sooooooo epic. I loved the crew. Steris was adorable and Wayne was hysterical. I'm so happy Kell is back. On another note, who is Nazh here anyway? I spotted Khriss right away but I couldn't find him. Also wasn't Hoid Wax's coach driver in SoS? How come Wax didn't recognize him even though he said his name?
  21. Steris was epic! Sheer perfection. Nothing shows your love and dedication to a plan more than throwing up in front of a whole party!
  22. Me too please That is when there's more space.
  23. So is this our introduction to "It's a Hard Shard Life: The Choronicles of the 17th Shard and other Worldhoppers"?
  24. Did the goo come with the contract or was it just one of Nora's "quirks"?
