  1. There are trees on Roshar that we would recognize in Shinovar, but then there are the trees on Roshar that fold up to protect themselves from Highstorms and I'm sure these would have bark. Now I'm not sure what this could possibly mean for the Cosmere at large, but well spotted and good question Zaci-chan, up vote for you Does anyone have any interesting theories for this?
  2. I'm really happy that they've made a separate story and are not just redoing the books or waiting for the movie and basing it off that. As to the game play and how it will work really had me worried at first, but now seeing what people are accomplishing with todays tech and hardware I cant help but think that this delayed release is only going to help us in the long run. I'm also pretty sure I've seen some WoB somewhere saying that he wants the game to play out a bit like the Infamous Gameplay which could work really well when adapted for Allomancy One of my biggest worries though is Little Orbit itself. Mistborn: Birthright is essentially their first big game and this could either make them or break them. I'm also not sure if they have the funds and the hardware to create the graphics and big explorable maps(maybe even openworld?) that has become the staple of todays big AA titles.
  3. @Kier I agree with the majority of your actors but one I strongly disagree with. John Cleese is an amazing actor and could possibly have a role in the movie but he is way too old to play Breeze.
  4. Do you guys think the problem might not be her past with men, bad or good, that is creating this aversion to the thought of being with men. Perhaps Jasnah is just not attracted to men in general Perhaps Jasnah is a Lesbian? I'm probably completely wrong but I think it would be quite interesting to see how a woman that is lesbian would fit into a society like Alethkar.
  5. Thanks Windy However, I am not completely ignorant to the year cycle in WoK. I suppose I just assumed that because a Roshar year is 1.09 Earth years that everything happened in about a year. But I suppose that it is believable that everything happened in 4 months (200 days), give or take. I would prefer if it was more but there is not much that I can really do about it is there
  6. Wait. I thought the events in the way of kings happened over a year. A two month span seems a little unrealistic to me
  7. So in no particular order: 1) I want there to be more to the powers of the Windrunner's than the three lashings. Don't get me wrong, I really love the powers Kaladin has now and my imagination runs wild with possibilities often, but I do want a little more as he experiments and says more ideals 2) I want Kaladin to say another Ideal. I don't think that there will be more than one though as this is a pretty long series. 3) I want Kaladin to challenge Amaram to a duel. When he beats him by subtly using his Windrunner abilities, spare his life but take the shards. Then give the blade to Renarin and the plate to Dalinar. 4) Different magic system battle the WoB hinted at toward the end of the book. 5) More information about the Worldhopper organization, the 17th Shard. 6) More info about the Ghostbloods, A lot more. 7) Shallan story arc. I only enjoyed her character towards the end of WoK but that was because she was masterly developed as a character. Now that she's at a place where I enjoy reading about her I am thoroughly looking forward to her back story and modern story. 8) I am interested to see what role Taln will play as the Herald who didn't give up (even if he didn't really have a choice) and as the Herald of War 9) The almost inevitable Szeth vs Kaladin battle. This will be epic. I cant wait to read about when Szeth crashes through some hall doors and lashes him self to the wall or the roof and then all of a sudden there is this man with scars on his forehead and a very distinctive glow, standing on the wall/roof blocking his path.
  8. I would also like to point out that the reason (probably, this is just speculation) that the light eyes are viewed as superior is a remnant of people thinking that the Knights Radiant were superior humans and a sign of a Knight Radiant is light(glowing) eyes.
  9. @Shardlet I, like Aether, also like the collar as this how I would imagine a captain's uniform looking. I'm not sure if you've read the Kaladin chapter where he gets his uniform but its definitely described as having a white collared shirt that has the collar folded outside the coat.
  10. If you are right and a Herald is instead associated with each surge rather than each order, effectively giving each order 4 divine attributes... Does that mean each Herald possibly only had acess to one surge but it was super charged? Like having a permanent duralumin pewter burn. So then nalan would have pressure(I think) but it would be far beyond what any radiant could do even with their 'combination' surges. Also the incresed dexterity, speed, strength and healing would also be magnified in a Herald.
  11. Edit: sorry for the diuble post, my computer is being wierd
  12. No MadRand :'D no you didn't nail it I don't think Gaz is dead actually, I have no evidence to support this but I actually liked his whole internal conflict and antagonization of Kaladin. So I look forward to his return
  13. Oh this is cool I didn't know his books had been translated to Hebrew. If you haven't read his big epic, The Way of Kings, then do yourself a favour and go and buy it immediately
  14. Interesting theory and one that im going to say I agree with but, I dont think that they are aware in the physical realm. The glass goblet that Shallan soulcast into blood thinks and has a conversation in the cognitive but I don't think it was very aware of itself in the physical....
  15. I've read the whole list
  16. I see your point Kurk but I do still believe that there is a shred of truth to be found in my theory. I know it is very flawed (I am also having trouble putting my thought process into words). I don't like my definitions of the magic healings either I think Gloom is right in saying that we just simply don't have enough information at the moment, but thats also the point of our (almost)baseless theorizing
  17. Guys I think it is evident that when it comes to healing there are two extremes in the cosmere, these are 'healing your current injury at accelerated speeds and taking you to your current ideal cognitive aspect' and the other is 'healing your current injury by changing your cognitive aspect'. In the first one if you lose an arm you will be able to heal the new stump you have. In the second one you will be able to regtow your arm and while you're at it make it better than your old one. Then there is everything in between and when you are on the spectrum between these two you get a mixture. The spectrum to me looks a little like this: Forgery; Elantris symbols; Feruchemical gold; Stormlight; Allomantic pewter; Regrowth Note: I'm busy right now and my thoughts are a little crazy. So please feel free to Improve/disagree/expand/do whatever you want to my theory.
  18. I've heard of White Sand but don't want to read it before it comes out. I haven't heard about this Aether of Night, is it another unpublished book that will eventually come out or is it never going to be published?
  19. Buy When Darkness comes calling Kaladin qill team up with all the pre-radiants present and defeat him
  20. A tv series would work best but we have to wait. We need to wait for the technology to get so good that to do the CGI effects it won't cost nearly as much as it does today. I'd say we would have to wait 20-30 years for this reason and so that brandons fandom can grow exponentially so that there is enough support. I admit the costumes and otger things are still a cost problem but if the following and demand are big enough (and I believe it will be) then a studio will find it worth the tine and effort to make this adaption.
  21. Ah, thanks for the link Kurkistan, I thought it probably had something to do with the Cognitive realm but wasn't sure how. Your link describes that. So yes, she is essentially getting the body to revert to its original form(as viewed by the cognitive realm)
  22. Buy, I would very much like to see shai as a member of the 17th shard Brandon comes onto this site regularly and laughs at us trying to decipher his genius
  23. So I was reading through the Lift interlude again and I noticed that Wyndyl says that Lift can't do Regrowth yet, but then she grows those vines from the seeds to break into the room. So she used Growth to grow some plants and that didn't seem to phase her, but Wyndyl says that Regrowth is beyond her abilities at the moment. Then to revive her friend she does use Regrowth but only after saying(thinking) another Radiant ideal, essentially making her more powerful. What I was wondering is why is it harder to use Regrowth than normal Growth. When you get down to it you are speeding up the cellular growth process at a microscopic level in living tissue. Both vines and human flesh are made of cellulose, mitochondria, nuclei and so forth. Different cells but essentially the same thing. also when you get even further down both living tissues are made of the same elements; Carbon, Oxygen, Nitrogen, Calcium, ect... what are your thought on this, could it possibly have something to do with investiture of basic life by that planets Shard/Shards? Also if Lift, instead of decreasing her friction, increased her friction could she theoretically Spider-man crawl up a wall?
  24. That doesn't seem like Szeths style (to kill people he hasn't been ordered to). I think the most likely thing is that he was ordered to kill the successor, whoever it was. The other possibility is that there is another assassin in white with a shard blade, but I doubt it.
