  1. It could be that Jezrien still had a bond with the blade, which would explain why the bonds are shallower, anyone can bond it if they possess the blade, but only 1 person can bond it fully. So jezrien needed to die before they could have moash fully bond it and access it's full potential.
  2. Ok so I was just trying to say that I genuinely wasn't sure if Ash was the herald of the Dustbringers or not lol. My theory crafting doesn't go anywhere near as deep as most people on here, I'm kinda just along for the ride, with minimal speculation of my own. Ash kind of reminds me of dust so it leapt to mind right away, and i thought we already knew atleast the names and Orders of every herald. That being said, a lot of interesting ideas going on here
  3. True, I don't really expect to see it, but wouldn't it make a great scene?
  4. Ok so I'm thinking atleast one herald needs to reclaim their sanity and here's why. It would be badass. We've already seen that a herald can swear the oaths of a KR with Nale, but he did it on a lame manner. He swore the oaths of the Skybreakers, an order her leads and already can access the surges of through his Honorblade. And I could be wrong but I don't think there's any compounding of his surges. Sure, he got another blade and, presumably, plate. And he can probably channel Stormlight more efficiently, but overall... lame. I'm picturing a herald swearing to another order. I would love to see Ash (who I believe is Dustbringer herald but if not replace "Ash" with the proper name) flying around with Windrunner and Dustbringer surges toting 2 Shardblades and in full plate just cleaning house. I mean the heralds have fought in hundreds of battles, they're unmatched warriors, though probably a bit rusty. And they've never had plate. So give em more surges, plate, and another blade and they would be unstoppable war machines. Now I kinda doubt this'll happen, bit I hope it does cuz it would be something to see! Hell even just a full KR with an Honorblade of another order would be awesome.
  5. but just an FYI its not due for like a month. so i wont post it until about then lol
  6. Alright, ill probably end up just posting it in this. and thanks anyway
  7. OK so I'm in an English 101 class and we have to write a critical analysis essay on a subject of our choice. So being the dedicated Sanderson fan that i am ive decided to do it on the WoK, but with that being said i dont actually own a copy (i know, calling myself a dedicated fan and admitting to not owning the book in the same sentence. Deplorable) so i was hoping one of my fellow sharders would be willing to lend me an e-book copy. This would be for purely academic purposes, I've already read it several times and did own a copy at one point but it was lost, long story, so if anyone has a copy they'd be willing to let me use so i can find exact quotes and such please let me know. And thank you in advance. I know this might not be the correct forum for this, if so you can move it to the correct place.
  8. Personally I think it was less the secret and more the mindset of the Radiants at the time combined with the fact that they weren't in the middle of a Desolation. Since they weren't in the middle of an apocalypse and believed no more Desolations would occur they're main purpose was gone and on top of that it was built in a lie. They were a group with strong morals, and their moral foundation was destroyed. So it was a drastic response but also one that is within reason when what is essentially ur entire existence is called into question. @Greywatch have an upvote for beating me to the punch lol
  9. Well what really gives it away is the first few epigraphs include the Order they were in, but that helps confirm it.
  10. I want to start off by saying that since I haven't finished the book yet I'm not even browsing topic names to avoid spoilers so someone could've already noticed this. But I noticed that each gemstone book, for lack of a better name coming to mind right now, is "written" by the order corresponding with it's gemstone. I.e Truthwatchers emerald, Stoneward topaz etc. This will probably come in handy when everyone's digging apart the quotes in the beginning of each chapter. Plus I think it's cool and am wondering if that's purely done for pride in being part of a specific order or if it's done because of that order having Identity with that stone. Lmk what u think
  11. Sure, we can't know. But based off the fact that tens of thousands of Parshendi turned into one type of Voidbringer, I think it's a safe bet that Odium has enough spren to go around. And while I could see there being less of certain orders (for lack of a Canon term) of Voidbringers, I think we have enough evidence to say all Parshendi/parshmen can become Voidbringers at the same time. And they have spawns from the unmade (i.e. the midnight mother) on their side an who knows what else. Beyond that we've only seen 2 orders of Voidbringers, and only 1 to the full extent of their ability. So it's completely possible and honestly pretty likely that there is a void form that can destroy Shardplate. And @Ciridae I like your argument for Voidplate, I'm in the Shardplate is made from spren camp and I didn't even consider the possibility of the same things being the case for Voidbringers. Might have to reconsider my stance on it lol
  12. A good point, still don't buy the idea, but a good point. Well there's thunderclasts (might be the wrong name/spelling) but honestly it seems like the main advantage of the Voidbringers is numbers. Even I'm past recreances the ratio of Voidbringers to Radiants was favorable to the Voidbringers. And "favorable" is being pretty generous. When the entirety of an opposing force has surges and only a few of the good guys do, that's a pretty distinct advantage.
  13. I don't, I saw it on the forums the other day. And I'm horrible at finding them or I'd try, sorry.
  14. Well we've never heard of or seen either of those things and u would think remnants would exist since shardplate and shardblades still do so I kind of doubt they exist. But that's just me
  15. Well Kaladin rode in on the highstorm so depending on whether or not Dalinar has to wait for the Stromwall to hit him or not he could of been meeting with them when Kaladin arrived.
  16. Good point.... I'm still gonna hope I'm right though lol
  17. And I might add that, while we're have a WoB saying that we won't see shardplate in OB, this could be him finally giving us a solid clue on where shardplate comes from.
  18. Personally I had a different take on that scene. A bunch of windspren gathered around him and the description instantly made me think "shardplate!!!" And while it would make a lot of sense for it to be a display of the adhesion surge, I thought that the 3 surges were all the Windrunners had, one being pure gravitation, one being adhesion, and one being a mixture of the two (basic lashing, full lashing, and half lashing. Might have that last one wrong) but anyways, my point is this. He used windspren to form a pocket of impenetrable defense. To me, that's the beginning of shardplate, which also would explain why Syl didn't understand it, which she probably would if it was the display of a surge.
  19. U just made me call every book store in my area and ask if they had it in to no avail *sigh*
  20. @Landis963 I just had to find the ones who couldn't control themselves lol. Seems like there's a few
