The fan of Mat in me has to say Chromium! As a Spinner, I can gamble my way around the world! Of course, I'll have to be tactical about when and how much I store my luck.

Mid-Range Game 3: When Chalklings Attack
Gamma Fiend replied to Sart's topic in Sanderson Elimination
"Digging holes is tiring work." Dig commented, sighing with exhaustion, sweat pouring down his face and back. His callused hands hadn't been blistered, though. He had too much experience digging holes to be put off by any amount of extended time working with a shovel. But the harsh Nebrask sun was quite relentless. Dig paused in his seemingly endless task, looking back at all the work he had accomplished while waiting for more people to show up. He wanted to impress his superiors and show them how good of a worker he was, but despite how it felt like he had been digging forever, he now saw that he hadn't really done much at all. He frowned, wondering why it felt like so much more time had passed than it really had. But as he relaxed his arm and lowered the shovel, the fresh bite of the spade into the dirt distracted him. It was quite a lovely sound. Music to his ears. Forgetting what he was just worrying about, Dig put himself back to the task on hand. Breaking out in a grin, he continued his mantra and got back to what he did best. "Dig a hole, dig a hole."- 213 replies

Mid-Range Game 3: When Chalklings Attack
Gamma Fiend replied to Sart's topic in Sanderson Elimination
"Dig a hole, dig a hole." Dig repeated his mantra as he did what he did best. He dug a hole. A moat, to be exact. While Dig was a sub-par Rithmatist -- on account of the fact that he always gave his chalklings an impossible command -- he had been recruited to the important mission on the Isle of Nebrask for another job. To dig a moat around the giant circle of warding that was needed to protect everybody from certain doom at the hands of those flat, terrifying wild chalklings. Of course, nobody had told him that the moat wouldn't actually do anything. They just wanted to give him busy work. Truth was, they needed all hands on deck for this task. Even people like Dig. "Dig a hole, a hole." Dig smiled and kept working the day away. There was important work to be done, after all. Edit: Figured I might as hell sign up for this one. I might not be as active as I was in past games, but I'll still definitely be able to participate daily. It's been a while since I've read Rithmatist, so I just phoned it in with this character. But I think I like him already!- 213 replies

You can also ask questions and get some hints and feedback from everyone over here in our Art of Game Creation thread. That's a wrap! -
Quick Fix Game 3: Shadowed Secrets
Gamma Fiend replied to Gamma Fiend's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Ah yes, Shady/The Innkeeper was indeed Magam from MR1, so I thought it'd be fun to have him still affected by his Curse. What's a better homeworld than Threnody to go back to if you have to follow a rule? (S)Laughter also made a brief appearance in the write-ups, as well. (If the Convicts won, I was going to have to make Magam fight his way through the Shades to escape.) (And then I would make the argument that since Shades are Invested, so they would help feed the Awakened Blade ) Apologies about the sloppiness of my Master Sheet, by the way! I'm not always the most organized, and just basically winged this one when collecting Stats and actions. >.< -

Alright, phew! Sorry it took me so long to gather the rather small amount of info and get it recorded on the Master Sheet. >.> I do want to say, this game was quite a blast to GM. Was definitely very interesting, with the limited resources and Ration Mechanics. Those will definitely need a little bit of tweaking, and maybe give a few more possibilities for uses for them, but overall I say it worked out rather well. Especially given the quick nature of the QF games! O.o I would like to say job well done to everybody that played, regardless of alignment and no matter how long you lasted or how quickly you died. These games take everyone one of us to always be fun and successful. Seriously though, I'm never doing write-ups with that storming curse ever again! So frustrating! Singularly one of the worst ideas I've ever had. >.< Shadowed Secrets Master Doc Speculating Spectres No need to really share the Spec Doc, since it was basically only me and Sart for only a few pages. Great game once again, everybody! I'll leave this thread open for a little while longer so anyone can get any last minute comments or questions upon seeing the Master Sheet. Or if you see any corrections needing to be made, or anything. -
Quick Fix Game 3: Shadowed Secrets

Shadowed Secrets Aftermath: Sacrifices “Some stories have happy endings,” the Innkeeper intoned, drawing in the Stranger for one last chapter, “sometimes they have sad endings, and it all of course depends on the point of view, doesn't it? Subjective, is the word, depending on the point of view, ya ken?” The Stranger perked up, detecting the inevitable end of the story drawing near. Sitting up straight in their seat, their eyes were focused with a clarity that rivaled the amount of alcohol they had consumed. The Innkeeper wasn't surprised. Strange folk with secrets seem to flock together, he mused. “So there we were, surrounded by Shades on all sides, murderous scum picking us off one by one each night, surviving off of near starvation levels of rations. Stress was at an all time high, as suspicion and mistrust was still heavy in the air, both sides knowing that one mistake would mean certain death. Still, the Shades drew closer and closer each day, withering away the silver rings day by day. Sacrifices needed to be made....” ---------------------------------------- The sun didn't shine in the morning, as dark clouds and a thick fog shrouded the dense forests. The Shades were visible, their blood red eyes piercing through the mists. Silence lay just as thickly over the inn, as some of the guests woke early, and slowly crept one by one quietly into the common room. As tired as they were, their eyes shone fiercely, their faces determined to end this once and for all. “Thanks for coming, everybody,” Wilim began, addressing the few who had gathered. Tryel sat at a nearby small square table, nervously twiddling his thumbs as he sat next to the grim looking Aoran. Joe sat on the other side of the table, his legs stretched and resting on the last open chair, a relaxed grin only somebody who had once lived in the forts could manage. Wilim took a deep breath and began to tell everybody his plan. -------- Raze stood outside behind the wood shed, obscured by the fog, playing with his flint in his hand, a few torches scattered at his feet, arguing with Ash. “Sparks, we're done for anyways!” He exclaimed, waving the unlit torch around, wishing it was aflame and he could just set the whole place ablaze. “Why not just burn it all down?!” “And draw even more Shades to this shadow-forsaken place?” Ash replied evenly. “I may be a convict, but I'm not daft.” So they stood there, arguing back and forth as the fog began to slowly dissipate, and the sun briefly shone overhead. They heard the bang of a door as the rest of the guests strode confidently out of the inn, Shady following behind them, his hand on his silver-sheathed sword. “Sorry boys, but you got to go,” the Innkeeper said, staring them both down. “Shedding blood is forbidden, so we leave you for the Shades. Sacrifices to be made, and all that.” The two convicts stood together and defiantly glared back. Raze smiled and looked down at his feet, striking his flint and setting the torches at his feet ablaze instantly. He tossed one back towards the inn, it sailing right through one of the windows and catching a curtain as it passed through. Flames began to flick at the windowsill within mere seconds and smoke began to billow forth. The convicts took advantage of the distraction and ran right for the perimeter of the inn, and to the edge of the silver rings surrounding them. Raze laughed with glee as he combated of the Shades with another torch in his hand, the intense heat of the flames driving them back and allowing him and Ash to cut a path right through them. As they passed bushes and shrubs, Raze set those ablaze as well as Ash followed after him stomping out the flames. They made it a couple hundred of paces and got into the full density of the Forests when a stiff, cold breeze issued forth and blew the torch out. They were immediately enveloped in absolute darkness. Then blood red eyes appeared one by one from the blackness, surrounding them on all sides and drawing in closer and closer. Two shrill, strangled screams sounded out in the night. Then were was Silence. ----------------------------- The Stranger sat in silence for a few moments, thinking about the story as a whole and it's conclusion. “So....,” they began slowly, “... what's the point of the story?” The Innkeeper frowned. “Stories don't need no point or reason or moral. Sometimes a story is just a story.” He said with a wink. “Shall you be staying the night, or settling your tab?” --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Quick Fix Game 3 is over! Congratulations to the Civilians for Winning, and great game, everybody! I had to start rushing at the end here, and will have to do all the post-game stuff later when I get a chance. But good game, everybody, I mean it! It was fun to GM, and I hope everybody had just as much fun. -

Quick Fix Game 3: Shadowed Secrets
Gamma Fiend replied to Gamma Fiend's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Shadowed Secrets Day 5: Stranger Things “Stranger things have happened,” The Innkeeper reiterated, taking a sip out of his mug for emphasis. “Strained and under pressure, people are able to occasionally make some good decisions, eventually.” The stranger looked down at their own fill mug in front of them, “Something tells me there was more to it than that, for some reason.” “Something tells you right again!” The Innkeeper exclaimed, slamming his mug back down on the counter, causing some of the foam to spill out of the top and leak over the side. “Stress can do all sorts of crazy things to people. Stay awhile, and listen, for this story still has a ways to go, but I can say there is some happy news in store for this next chapter.” And without any further elaboration, the Innkeeper leapt right back into his monologue. -------------------- Another dark and gloomy morning had settled once again over Shady's Waystop Inn, as the guests all woke up in the morning awaiting another fatal deliberation. They knew their situation was dire, and a wrong choice could lead them all to death. Grudgingly, the debate eventually started as the morning dragged on into the afternoon, with the heavy silence settling over the common room like a well-fitted cloak. All conversations and small talk were subdued as everybody quietly waited for the next victim to be chosen. As the evening drew close, discussion began once again in earnest, with the top suspects once again being debated. Eventually the crowd settled on one of the quiet ones. Ryfe stepped forward, glaring at everybody, a dark, deep hatred burning in his eyes. "Yes, I am a Convict. But I'm not the reason the Shades are angry. They're angry because the stupid innkeeper is keeping a shadows-cursed fire in the backroom! Seriously, put that out and all of you will probably escape alive!" Shady snorted at the comment. “Son, I've fought off those Shades years ago. Seems to me that the only one endangering us are you and your silly little crew.” He put his hand on the hilt of the sword he had started carrying the previous evening. It was a strange slim, silver-sheathed blade that some of the guests may have recognized from his stories. “So will you go quietly and without struggle?” Ryfe laughed. “Sure, why not? It's not like this ends with me. There are those in here who will avenge me, and make you all learn the follies of your ways. Nobody eliminates the Gang Leader without retribution” Ryfe strode out of the inn and outside, up to the silver ring that had been protecting all of them – or trapping them, depending on how you looked at it. The mapmaker looked back over his shoulder and called out, “Oh, and me and my friends left you all another present in the kitchen. And all of my maps were a lie!” And with that, he jumped forward head first, tackling the group of Shades that were eagerly awaiting him, ready to kill one of the men who had foolishly spilled blood. The convict didn't cry out, not even once, and within moments, his body was reduced to a husk of his skeleton, all of his skin and flesh withered off of him. “Somebody go find out what he was talking about,” Shady snarled, spitting at the corpse of the convict leader that had begun all of this mess in the first place. “Shut up, I'm not in the mood,” Shady said to what seemed like nobody in particular, as he was standing by himself and talking to the thin air. Searching the kitchen, they found Ryfe's parting “gift”. It was in the form of a large knife stuck in the back of Araris, blood leaking out of the still warm body. “Shadows, somebody clean this mess up!” Shady cursed, kicking the corpse in his anger. Outside of the Waystop Inn, the Shades still waited. Their eyes not as blood red and enraged as before, but they were still waiting for the chance to get retribution against the others who had spilled blood. ---------------- “So that's how the civilians found themselves their first Convict.” The Innkeeper said with glee. “See, it's not all just bad news and death and disaster.” The Stranger sat there, reflecting on the story once again. They had barely taken a sip of their ale in front of them. “Why did you kick the corpse?” They asked finally. “Seemed like a good way to vent frustration,” the Innkeeper replied innocently. “Strange to think that treating a corpse with disrespect might not always be the best course of action, depending on where you are.” He said with a wink, confusing the Stranger even more. “Shadows,” the Innkeeper suddenly exclaimed, looking at the still full drink in front of the stranger. “Shame to waste a good mug of ale. Start sipping on that, and I'll let you know what happened next.” ------------------------------- Araris was a Civilian! Rfye was the Gang Leader! Ryfe (5) - Joseph, Wilim, Raze, Ash, Tryel Ash (2) - Ryfe, Araris The Cycle will last 24 hours and will end at 5:30PM EST, Thursday September 25th -

Shadowed Secrets Day 4: Sordid Solutions The Stranger sat at the bar quietly for a few moments, thinking over everything they had heard so far, seeing what conclusions they could draw for themselves. The Innkeeper silently laughed to himself, wondering if the person figured out the story was different every time it was told – completely dependent on whoever was listening. “Sure, things started to look bleak for my poor guests,” The Innkeeper continued, skipping the next round and getting right back into the his role as orator “strong and resilient, homesteaders are if anything but a tenacious folk, and where lesser men would give up and call it quits, they just dig their heels in and keep on going.” He flashed a quick, knowing grin. “Sticking to your path may not always be the best course of action, though....,” he said before drawing in a deep breath before plunging right back into the story. ----------------------------- Stress and tension were running at an all time high when the sun rose in the morning, with all of the guests becoming restless and reckless. Tempers had flared, and with new blood being shed each day, and being no closer to finding the culprits – not to mention the innocents being exiled to death every night – it was quite understandable that mistakes were made. Once again everybody gathered together to fling more accusations at each other, a small, wild fear beginning to grow and encompass them all. Shady stayed silent and stood in the shadows, awaiting their deliberation. Shadows knew he didn't want to be the one to be responsible for any more death. After a long afternoon, everybody began to grow hungry from the pittance of rations they had been forced to live off of, and with a general collective sigh, all of the focus had turned to Navor who had tried to take advantage of the commotion to try and pickpocket somebody nearby him. “Sparks, that's bad timing,” Shady commented, and without protest, he grabbed the thief by the arm and led him out of the inn and up to the silver ring, which had taken a lot of damage during the last few days. The outer shell completely blackened by the constant onslaught of shades who were waiting outside the perimeter. their eyes were still red and calling for retribution for those who had broken the three simple, sacred rules. Navor began to mumble some form of defense, but cut off as something caught his eye, and a look of recognition fell over his face. “Is that you – ?” He began to ask, but was cut off as he was shoved into the awaiting arms of the Shades. His flesh was withered and reduced to bone within mere moments. But the Shades remained, unphased by the sacrifice, still seeking their true prey inside of the inn. Shady walked numbly back into the common room, where the crowd was awaiting the answer to the unspoken question. He opened his mouth to say something, but then just sighed and shook his head and left the room. As he walked up the stairs, he noticed one of the bedroom doors was left ajar, and peeking in before closing it, showed that the patron was still in the room, sitting quietly at the desk. “Snipe?” Shady asked, moving into the room. As he walked closer, he saw a couple of vials of clear colored fluids sitting on the desk in front of him. Seems like the Scholar was studying the properties of Fenweed Sap. The Innkeeper went to go shake the man's shoulder, but the scholar's head lulled to the side, causing his balance to shift, and exposing the wide, bloody gash in his throat. Shady stumbled back and stifled a curse. “Shadows, I'm getting to old for this.” ----------------------- The Innkeeper trailed off once again, pausing the story at just the right moment, forcing the Stranger to have to ask for him to continue. Nobody listened to a story this long and then left off. Sounds like they're heavily Invested into the story, the small voice in the back of his mind joked. Silent laughter followed. “So, these convicts just kept killing, and innocents were sent to their death everyday? Is there any good news, or even any point to all of this?” The Stranger finally asked, indicating they did indeed want another round, eager to hear the next part of the story. “See, you'll just have to listen and find out, won't you?” The Innkeeper said with a wink. “Stranger comebacks have happened, though. So you never know.” ----------------------- Navor was a Civilian! Snipe was a Civilian with Fenweed Sap! I hope this doesn't inconvenience anybody in anyway. Edit: Can also players please make sure to highlight your actions with the Cycles they are for when you submit. Shadowed Secrets Day 3: Strangled Shouts Silence fell over the inn once more as the stranger sat in their seat and started to slowly sway back and forth, the potent ale beginning to take effect on them. 'Something tells me that these killings don't stop for a while yet, if ever?” The stranger asked finally. “Something tells you right,” the Innkeeper replied, knowing the story had fully absorbed the strange patron. Scary stories always were the best, after all. The stranger paid for the next rounds and the Innkeeper started right back into the story, picking up where he left off without missing a beat. “Sleep didn't come easy to anybody that night, I can tell you what....” ----------------- After a night of fitful rest, all of the remaining guests gathered once more in the common room in the morning, the shining sun doing no good to lighten the atmosphere in the inn. Shady walked into the room rubbing his eyes, indicating even he had trouble sleeping. “Strike,” he muttered, “the chef is on strike until we find these loathsome murderers. Shade's Special is the only dish I wish to serve up on the menu today.” He then strode out of the room leaving all of the survivors to their own devices. It didn't take long for the silence to erupt, as accusations and insults began to flu. Suspicion was heavy in the air, and tempers were running high and the noise level rose as everybody was eventually left shouting at each other. After a flurry of suspects being called to the front, it was clear that the choice came down to just three people. Aoran, Ash, and Kasir were left singled out in front of the angry mob, accusing each other and others in the crowd, as trying to defend themselves would do no good over the din and the clamor of the chaos. The sun began to set, and under a twilit sky Shady came back to them, awaiting a decision. “Somebody's got to go, so who is it?” Dark truly began to take hold as the exiled guest was brought outside and to the edge of the silver ring. The Shades could sense a fresh victim, and their red eyes flared up as they swirled and massed, a silent buzzing energy seeming to build, a growing force that pressed up against the invisible barrier that was withering away day by day. Kas was brought forward. “Speak now if you have any last words.” Shady intoned. “'Tis only a flesh wound?” He asked hopefully. And with a cry he was shoved forward outside of the protective silver ring, and into the waiting arms of the Shades. He barely had time to cry out and within moments he was just a husk of a skeleton. A shudder seemed to roll throughout the Shades, almost as if a giant collective groan of pleasure. But the color of their eyes did not change. Kas was not one of the killers. Without a word, Shady glared at everyone else and stomped away, towards the back of the inn. He had to gather more firewood to feed the fire, lest it go out. He didn't need to enrage the Shades any further by having to rekindle any flames while trapped inside here. He almost walked right over it before the saw the large lump lying in the pathway, obscured by the shadows so he couldn't see what it was, but he immediately knew what it was. Luce lay there staring lifelessly up at the sky, her neck bruised and the skin split along a fine, wire thin line, and a bloodied piece of wood lay on the ground next to her. She had been strangled and bludgeoned to death. “Shadows, what have I ever done to deserve this?” He didn't even need to wait for the small voice in the back of his head to tell him the answer. ------------------------ “Seems like you guessed right. More death.” The Innkeeper said, trailing the story off as he finished his drink. He placed it back on the table and subtly glanced at it. The stranger should have picked up on the gist of how this worked by now. They sat there for a few moments, a frown of their face as they digested the latest part of the story. Or maybe that was the alcohol they were digesting. “Wait....,” they asked slowly, “so how did you figure out who out of the three to exile?” “Shamed and embarrassed to admit it now, of course, but I flipped a coin....” he reluctantly admitted. “Flipped.... a coin? But doesn't that only have two sides?” They said, confused. “Statistics, bah,” the Innkeeper spat, “see, I tossed my lucky three-sided coin, so it was all nice and fair, don't you worry. “So.....,” he said, moving on, “how about that next round, and I get to telling you what happened next! Sparks, even I can hardly believe it!” ------------------------------------------------- Kasir was a Civilian! Luce was also a Civilian! Shadowed Secrets Day 2: Stab Wounds The stranger glanced down at the empty mugs in front of them, seeming to contemplate for a moment on whether to take the Innkeeper up on the offer or not. “Second round it is, then.” They said after a moment of consideration. “Sounds good to me,” the Innkeeper happily replied, getting up to refill the drinks. He must have cracked another joke to himself, as he stood there silently laughing to himself. “So where was I?” He asked, sitting back down with two frosty, foaming mugs, ignoring the stranger's quizzical look. “Somebody spilled blood, right? I mean, you had to have found out who it was, right? How else would you be here?” “Slow down there, the story is just starting to warm up and get to the good parts! Shame, it would be, to rush such a grand tale as this one.” He sat there for a few moments, either gathering up the memories, or dozing off. The stranger wasn't certain which and was about to say something when the Innkeeper opened his eyes back up, his eyes blazing in the reflection of the fire that sat flickering in the hearth. His voice dropped the raspy qualities and once again took on a grander volume fit for storytelling that helped ensnare the audience. Even if it was just one man. “Somebody spilled blood, aye, breaking the most sacred and important rule that we simple folk must abide by in these here Forests. Suicidal tendencies aside, it soon become apparent that the Convicts must have been more competent that initially given credit for, for more bodies soon began to drop.....” ------------------------------- The patrons of Shady's Waystop stood gathered around the fresh corpse, incredulity and fear plainly visible on everybody's face. Blood had been spilled, and there would be satiating the enraged Shades that had swarmed around the protective ring that surrounded them all. Just a few inches of silver was the only barrier and salvation the patrons had to count on. “Stop standing there and gawking!” Shady spat at the bewildered guests who were stunned into silence. “Seta was a good lad, and his corpse deserves proper respect!” The regulars had never seen the Innkeeper so emotional and angry before, and before he could yell at them again, a small team of people rushed into action – albeit a slow rush, just not to enrage the Shades any more than need be. Despite it being daytime, the blood red eyes of the Shades was a stark reminder of what was exactly at stake. Shady marched everybody back into the inn after a small, shallow grave had been bug, and Seta was unceremoniously dropped into the hole. “Shadows preserve whoever did this, for I will not abide by it. Start giving me some names,” he said, addressing everybody. “Sometime by the end of the night, we will get Justice, even if it died in the Homeland!” The trapped patrons of the bar silently sat at the bar, nervously eying each other up and down. It wasn't long until accusations started to fly. Soon enough the crowd had decided to focus on two main characters, both of them being equally shady and crazy enough to warrant suspicion. It was nearing nightfall when Shady strode back into the room. “So, have ye all reached a decision?” He asked, not asking for explanations or excuses. He just wanted swift retribution. A silence fell across the room, but not immediately noticed by everybody. Soon enough only Jain's voice could be heard above the thickening quiet as he continued to rant on and on about some strange beast that nobody around him had ever seen, let alone heard of. “What about that guy?” Somebody asked. A couple more voices pitched in, using some sort of nonsense to argue against him. Statistics and erratic behaviours? Sparks, these people barely even know each other! Shady wasn't entirely convinced, but it appeared that there were no other major suspects at the moment to go off of. He walked up to the young man named Jain and placed a gentle hand on his shoulder. “Seeya.” Was all he said, as he walked the speechless eccentric out of the inn and led him towards the ring of silver. “Sacrifices must be made,” He said, giving Jain a small push and sending the man tumbling over the safe barrier of silver, into the awaiting grasp of the Shades. He didn't even cry out as he was attacked by the ferocious spirits, their spectral touch withering away his flesh down to the bone wherever they touched him. The rest of the patrons stood by silently watching the execution – for that's what it was – , hoping they had made the right choice. After a few short, horrific moments, the spectacle ended, but the Shades looked no less enraged, their eyes still a deep crimson. Perhaps the color was even a few shades darker than before. Sighing, Shady solemnly spoke to the rest of his guests. “Start praying, for it looks like we were wrong, and this isn't finished by a long shot.” He silently turned around and strode back to his inn to start cleaning up Jain's now vacant room. While cleaning up and searching the room for clues, Shady found a small burlap sack, lined with tar on the inside, stowed away among the unfortunate lad's former belongings. Seems like he won't be needing this anymore, Shady laughed to himself. He turned to leave out of the room and head back downstairs when the door hit something blocking it's path, preventing it from opening up all the way into the hallway. After struggling for a second, Shady heaved into it and pushed the obstruction out of the way. It was only when he stepped over the large mess when he realized what it was. Another corpse. And that of Wern. The famed hunter and tracker was lying flat on his back, motionless eyes staring straight up at the ceiling, warm blood still flowing from the multiple stab wounds from the man's stomach. Clutched inside Wern's hands were two small, intricately carved and sacred Silver Wards. For optimal protection from Shade attacks, but completely useless against knives. “Seriously?!” Shady yelled loudly. He could almost feel the gathering menace from the growing crowd of Shades stationed outside of the inn, their blood lust slowly infecting all of the people trapped within the circle. “Storm it, here we go again!” ----------------------- The Innkeeper lowered his once again empty mug, finishing off the second chapter in his story. The stranger at the bar sat there confused. “So.... there was another murder? And everyone was wrong about who one of the Convicts were? Seems rather..... anti-climactic....”They said, almost sounding disappointing. “Serendipity strikes, as they like to say, but sometimes, it doesn't always strike the right people.” The Innkeeper replied bitterly and sitting there quietly for a few moments. “So!” He exclaimed suddenly, slamming both his hands on the counter top and causing the stranger to jump in their seat. “Storytelling sure does dry a man's throat out, mind spotting me another drink?” He tapped his finger on the once again empty mug in front of him. “Strange as it sounds, the story just gets better and better from here, I promise.” ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jain was a Civilian who had a Murder Hood! Wern was murdered, and was found to be a Civilian with Silver Wards! Jain (3) - Raze, Joseph, Kasir Raze (2) - Snipe, Navor Navor (1) - Araris Snipe (1) - Jain Joseph (1) - Wilim Edit: Fixed the vote count. Sorry about that. There are no mechanics that change interfere with voting this game. Cycle 2 will last for 24 hours and will end at 8:30AM EST, Sunday, September 21st. Apologies for the late write-up, and I hope I will be able to keep the write-ups at a semi-consistent time going forward. -

A quick bunch of questions I compiled and numbered for convenience sake. 1) Yes, they would still be counted as having placed a vote, since they did initially cast it. 2)Yes, all Message mechanics work the same for everybody. 3)Items can not be transferred, they go to the Innkeeper upon death. 4)Correct, if somebody at only one Ration, they would be Hungry and would still need to eat 2 Rations the next day to no longer be hungry. And yes, you can give that Ration away. Just remember when you become Hungry, you can not perform any Actions until you are not Hungry anymore. 5)Yes, say if you would have 3 Rations at the end of Day 2, and you intercepted a Message, it would bring you down to 1 Ration and you would be hungry for the next Cycle. You can't use more Rations than you have, though. 6)Votes will not be negated by Fenweed Sap, and you would still receive your Rations. You just can't perform any Actions that night (Item use, Messaging/Intercepting, Sharing Rations, Convict Kill, etc.) 7) Yes, lynching would prevent Kill Actions, since it goes first on the Stack. 8)Only Messaging mechanics and changing your vote costs Rations. -

Rations get taken by the Innkeeper upon death. So there is no way other people could recover them. (You could send Rations out to somebody else, if you think you're going to die, however, since Rations happen first on The Stack) That would count as your Action, though. Yes, Messages can be sent the first cycle, from the Rations you will receive. Since Messages go after Ration distribution, when you send those messages at the end of the Cycle, you will have the Rations to send them. In case of a tied vote, the Innkeeper will flip a coin to see who gets lynched. Also, a quick heads up for voting procedures. The lack of Rations on the first cycle is to help establish that environment of scarce resources and placing votes with caution. Also, votes can be redacted in Green if you change your mind, and to redact it will not cost any rations. But you would still need more Rations to change it after that, or if you wanted to re-vote for who you originally voted for. Edit: Any items anybody might have when they die will also go to the Innkeeper. Nothing wrong with profiteering in the middle of a crisis. -
1000th Post, and it started off my 2nd Elimination Game, QF3: Shadowed Secrets! Perfect timing.
