  1. Hmm. I was hoping this had filled out a little more over the week. :/ I will sign-up though, to try and help bolster the player list! Meet.... Famed Gamin. I am no regular street urchin, mind you. I have been to the lands of Shinovar and back! I have climbed the peaks of the Misted Mountains in the west, I have been to the famed City of Shadows, Rall Elorin, and I have glimpsed the mysteries that lie within it's darkened walls! From Aimia to the Reshi Ises, From Azir to Thaylenah to the northern reaches of Herdaz! Famed Gamin has lied, begged, cheated, stolen, and puppy-eyed his way across the entire continent and back dozens of times! My wild and bold exploits have made me equally famous and infamous all over the world! I have been to the Horneater Peaks and swam in their sacred pools, I have walked across the Shattered Plains and back, I have captured spren and voidbringers alike, charming them with my wits and bravery, making them spill the secrets of the Other Worlds to me, I have had a cup of tea with the Nightwatcher herself, and called the stormfather a bloody fool to his face. I am Famed Gamin! Hear me roar! And old man watched as the odd kid wandered down the street muttering to himself of strange and ridiculous triumphs, the silly declarations fading in volume as the kid strolled further away, oblivious of the city around him. "Storming fools should stay where they belong, and away from here," he said before spitting at the ground. That's what he thought of people like that.
  2. Oops, apologies on my misreading (again) the Kandra's rules. I obviously haven't paid much attention to what it can do, as it's irrelevant for me, but I am still almost positive that the Kandra has to belong to House Tuy or Seeris. Unless the player list we have in our doc is completely wrong, which I don't think is that likely. I don't want to say too much and reveal who actually may all belong to what Lesser Houses (in case the skaa still don't know for some reason. but if everyone does say they're okay with it, I will share what the list we have so far is). But we House Elarial doesn't have the Kandra from how they've rotated their members, because we've seen all Three as House Lords. House Urbain doesn't have one, obviously. And with the two Lesser Houses missing a player each, it can't be either of those, and then like I said, from the rest of the info we have we were able to mostly figure out the lesser houses. So it has to be either the last member of House Seeris (the 4th after Jain), or someone in House Tuy. It would really be helpful if there is someone in the House Seeris Doc who could step forward (if there is one), to help get this figured out. But the fact that nobody has really mentioned that at all yet, makes it a little bit more suspicious. So now the question is if we think Jain is suspicious enough to lynch, and as I believe Hadrian has been so adamant about the entire game, is making sure we kill him off via lynch and trying to prevent the House Power from falling in the skaa hands (if it isn't already), seeing if that's a move that's worth it or not. I'm still not entirely sure, but it seems like either Asyr or Jain are lying, so we need to figure out who. Like I said though, the list in my Doc could be somewhat inaccurate, but I don't want to share and spill anyone's alleged House list (and roles we have figured out and guessed at) without their permission, of course.
  3. Because of how most of the information has come out and the assumptions of where the rest of the people belong. But that's all they are is assumptions. But I know in my doc we've been running off of the assumption that you have a kandra. Honestly, I do hope that you don't have the kandra, because with how inconsistent you and your brother's gameplay has been, I'm not too sure how effectively the kandra power has been being used, if it's in your hands. Either way, at this point in the game, there's been two skaa so far with bones to be fed off of, so whoever has the kandra should hopefully start netting some good information soon that we can really use. I'd like to call some attention to Jae real quick, though. I haven't seen him posting or active lately, and of course that's not out of the norm for this but, but I have seen him called out a few times but haven't seen him make too many responses from what I can remember. Also I've been working off of the "Theory of Three", as I'm calling it. We've had 3 Tineyes, one of them being a skaa, so that's a possible starting point for a trend. I want to take a look at our last and third Rioter, I think, if not to at least test the idea if there aren't any better targets right now. If not the Third Rioter, then if we did have all 3 of them, then I highly doubt we'd have 3 coinshots as well. At least that's where I want to look next, without any other immediate suspects to go after, for now.
  4. Fien entered the ballroom of Lord Fathvell's keep and immediately was struck with the impression, Now this is a real ballroom! The suitably painted stained glass murals depicting the Lord Ruler and all of the traditional Steel Ministry dogma, matched with the textbook layout for architecture of what was properly expected of a noble. It was quite convincing. "Ah, yes!" Fien exclaimed drunkenly, already a few glasses of wine deep, "Time for another round of guess who! Unless somebody has some sort of damning evidence they'd like to present, I'll assume that we have nothing solid to go on for the moment?" He paused after asking the question, waiting, hoping, for some sort of response. "No? Very well then, it appears we'll have to do this the old fashioned way." While Fien was originally surprised at his sudden outburst and attempt to take charge, he knew deep down that his rage couldn't be quieted. They had first infiltrated his house, pretending to be one of his own trusted subjects, and then they had immediately turned their daggers towards Ren, one of his most trusted and loyal members who had been responsible for rooting out the traitor Raccine. He knew he could no longer play games, and he knew he couldn't count on that fool Mesist on getting any actual results. No. Fien was reminded once again why Fien was a Great House, for they were powerful and to be respected. And the skaa would rue the day they ever started this war. "So, like I've said before, it looks like we can't exactly rely on Information on finding the rest of the skaa. They most likely know better than that to leave themselves vulnerable like that again. Of course it's still a way for inconsistencies to be found among people, we can't count on Informants to find the skaa for us anymore. Likewise, whoever the Genie fellow is, we can't just sit around and wait for them to peg the right target and find the skaa. When it always gets down to the last couple or few eliminators is when it gets hardest to root them out, as they've obviously done the best job of deception so far. We need to make sure we're all still be openly active in attempting to find those who are most suspicious. We shouldn't be relying on the game roles or mechanics to find the skaa for us." Fien took a deep breath, sweat breaking out and beading down his forehead in the harsh glow of the limelights from above, all of the nobles attention focused on him. He wondered if he had made a mistake and committed himself too far, letting people know too much about how competent he actually was. He gasped and floundered around, grabbing the nearest container filled with some sort of alcoholic beverage, and in his flailing knocked over a glass of wine from the silver-lined platter that a skaa servant was carrying around. The glass shattered and a large stain spilled across the immaculate ballroom floor, looking like a stain of spreading blood. Gamad glared disapprovingly from the darkened corner of the room, shaking his head in a disapproving manor. Fien gulped, remembering that Ren's Terrisman Steward hadn't checked in since his master's murder and was starting to be considered a suspect. I can trust him, right?.... ----------------- Edit: oops, thought I included my vote. XD Right now I'm going to flag Finch Fain. Right now I still, also, have no hardcore suspicions, but I remember still not being satisfied with the explanation he gave us for his inconsistencies earlier. That coupled with him being active on other parts of the forum but still not really checking in or participating in the game at all. Inactivity is really going to hurt us the most in the long run, and rust, we've already have one skaa hiding in that list. Speaking of, I do hope with Newan being super inactive that he didn't learn as much potentially sensitive info as he could have, because we have had a nice bit of information flow through there, but it won't be good to assume the skaa didn't get that info. For that matter, I have not completely given my trust to this ChainTM of Genie to other players. The more people involved, the more risk of infiltration. Especially if they haven't been cleared yet, if they have, great. If not, I really hope there's some way out there to relay this information of who's been potentially cleared, just so if that list can be trusted then nobles won't be wasting their time trying to find Information about people who are verified Nobles. But I also wouldn't completely count out the gambit of a skaa giving up an apparently inactive team member who was starting to garner suspicion as it is. One thing I've also been wanting to look at is the role-distribution. We've had one Tineye and one Soother skaa so far, which was pretty much expected. But the fact that there are 3 alleged Coinshots worries me a little bit. We've had 3 alleged Tineyes, one being a Skaa so far, which can't be called a trend, but it's something to look at. Also the list in my Doc has 3 claimed Rioters, which I'll need to take a closer look at as well. But if we do have 3 coinshots in actuality (Cadri, and the claimed Ash and Asyr), then I would definitely bet on a Lurcher being a skaa. But we'll need to see if those coinshots are skaa or not first, I think. Especially since those are dangerous roles for the nobles potentially to begin with, as they have a way better chance of hitting a noble over a skaa. Like I said, I have no solid suspicions or leads at all still, since Raccine was discovered so early and Newan was so inactive, but that doesn't mean we should still rely on powers and mechanics to figure this out for us. We should be able to get some idea of how a GM balances these games possibly (unless they're just trolling us, of course, which I wouldn't put past The Wyrm, Your Honour), and we can still rely on people's behaviours and logic and deduction to root to the bottom of things. We already got 2 of the skaa by Day 5, people! Let's keep that momentum going! Edit: Redacted vote.
  5. It was a few hours later when Gamad had finally returned to Keep Urbain, just wondering what in the pits his Master had been thinking sending that ridiculous gag-gift. It didn't even make any rusting sense. Storming? He asked himself, what kind of silly curse is that supposed to be? Luckily he had been able to store a massive amount of his vision just in time to prevent himself from being blinded by that eyesore of a spectacle. Even more bewilderingly, the Lady Ashette seemed to enjoy it! Lord Ruler, just how incompetent and fragile minded are these nobles? "I have delivered your uh,.... gift, sir," Gamad reported as he entered into Fien's room, as the young lord was lying on the bed with a damp towel draped over his eyes. His ridiculous orange shirt perfectly matching the dark purple velvet blanket with the same bright orange trimming. It really was an affront to the senses. Gamad had always wondered the mental fortitude of young Fien when he had so easily accepted the horrible clashing colours that Gamad had told him were the House Colours. He didn't think there was any way Fien was that air-headed to believe him. But instead of calling him out for trying to trick him, Fien had enthusiastically embraced the colours and did his best to fulfill the image of a jester that the colours suggested. "Er, thanks..... I guess. But try not to talk so loud," Fien groaned. "My head is killing me. I honestly don't even remember what I was thinking, sending that." "Nor do I, sir." Gamad replied. "I also took the liberty to taking a look around the city for anything suspicious. All is quiet in the night. Almost too quiet." "Bah, you sound like one of those melodramatic plays that these fluffy nobles always go see and rant on about. "Now turn those lights down, that glare is killing me." Gamad sighed. "Yes, my Lord."
  6. Fien sat at his desk in his keep, trying hard to study the documents laid out in front of him, pouring over the texts looking for any clues or hints as where to look next for the skaa. Finding one among his own household has been an almost sobering realization at how far the nefarious rebellion had taken seed among the nobles of Luthadel. Good thing I have a little help with that, he smiled to himself as he reached for the nearest glass of wine. "For the night is dark and full of spirits," he giggled, taking a large swig and wiping the excess around his mouth with his sleeve, leaving a dark red stained smear on the otherwise bright and garish orange shirt he was wearing. He lifted his head up and gazed upon the small holes in the wall that still remained when Cadri had played her prank on him a few nights prior. He wanted to remain mad at the precocious prankster, but he had to admit life had gotten rather dull ever since Lady Raisall had died. Mesist was just too easy and boring of a target. Such a droll man could only provide so much entertainment before the sport began to get old and wearisome. A brilliant idea struck him and he suddenly rounded on Gamad, startling the silent Terrisman who had been standing in the corner, a wicked grin on his face. --------------------------- A short while later Gamad was walking the streets with his head held low. Why do I carry out these petty tasks for the insufferable man, again? He asked himself for the dozenth time for the evening as he strolled through the silent, mist-filled streets of Luthadel. The looming shape of a distant keep reared up in front of him as lights flared up in the mists on high above walls as guards called down. Gamad sighed one last time before declaring himself, letting those above know who had sent him and what for. "A gift," Gamad yelled up to them. "A gesture of good will from my Master to yours," he said with a bow, offering up the wrapped package for them to see. As the minutes passed by, Gamad waited with silent dread as a slow bead of sweat rolled off of his head. I really hope they just tell me to leave without opening it.... --------------------------------- Fien is bored! He's decided to start a new rivalry with somebody! Whoever wants to accept, feel free to RP the rest of the scene, and think of some creative, hilarious insult that Fien could pack in a box to be delivered to you! Let's act like true nobles, for Lord Ruler's sake!
  7. Fien glared at the smashed vial of metal laying on the ground, the small flakes of brass sparkling gently in the flickering light of the torches that had surrounded the courtyard. A skaa in my own house! He cursed to himself, bringing his foot down upon the already broken vial, shattering the glass even more. He knew his reputation would take a large blow from an embarrassment of this magnitude, but he knew him and his house would endure, somehow. He angrily finished the glass of wine he was carrying around and tossed it over his shoulder, strolling out of the Gardre Gardens and out into the Night. For Fien, play time was over.
  8. Fien stood off by himself in one of the decorative tents that had been set up by the Host for the night, Lord Ren Gardre, a relatively minor noble in the scheme of politics, but Fien did remember how the young lord's Information had been helpful in finding a skaa just a few nights prior. Maybe he's not as incompetent and timid as he wants us all to think, Fien wondered as he swirled his cup, swishing the wine within it around before taking a sip. After last night's embarrassing spectacle of him falling in the river, he was making sure he didn't get too drunk tonight, even if there was no danger of falling off barges here. Lord Ruler, rust that man! Fien raged to himself, still cursing Mesist from the night before. He looked around the open garden, peering through the thin veil of mists, trying to find the horse-peddler, and after a moment he shook his head and chastised himself. I should really know better than trying to look for him, he laughed as he thrust his nose out into the air and started taking large, exaggerated sniffs. Everybody knows that you can smell Lord A'lees before you can see him. And sure enough, after a moment, Fien found Mesist, who was standing in the centre of a large crowd and waving his arms around throwing accusations at the still absent Lord Wandrin. At first Fien found himself speaking up to defend the man, asking people why they haven't given him at least one more chance to defend himself, but then another small lord stepped forward, Kassel Erikell, and he claimed that somebody claimed an informant had declared Wandrin to be a skaa. Fien groaned. A Skaa, in my own House?! He thought, stupefied. He watched as a few more votes quickly piled against the still silent alleged skaa, and Fien realized his earlier defenses of the man would not look good at all if this turned out wrong. He looked around for a glass of wine, starting to reconsider his position on not getting drunk this evening.... Ah, yes, Wandrin is a memeber of House Urbain, as this lynch looks already pretty confirmed so that will be eventually revealed anyway. Note that earlier, my calling out of Meta for placing a second vote on Wandrin wasn't just defending my team member, he has been rather inactive in there as well, it was just that I would call anybody out for placing a second vote on an inactive just for being inactive at that point. With Kas revealing he's in the same house as Wandrin will also allow people to place his house, if they didn't know already, but basically if Wandrin is a skaa then they already know anyway, and the rest of the nobles knowing is no big deal, I don't think. Of course, if this lynch does come back with Wandrin not being a skaa, then we will need to definitely look at Kas, and this alleged "spook" and "genie". I might as well throw my vote on here just to make sure there's no vote-manipulation shenanigans, but I'm pretty sure the lynch is secured at this point, and there is no reason to withhold a vote or try and get any discussion going on anyone else at the moment Edit: it was Red, I promise you.
  9. Just a heads up, Ash, I think this situation is fine, but under the "Fair Play" Rules in the Etiquette section, it is technically discouraged to change the nature of your post like that. (i.e., removing it's content completely). Obviously a mistake post is a different situation, but in the "flavour" of the Mafia Games, if we're all standing around openly discussing things, then anything that gets said can't be completely redacted. Editing is just for grammar fixes, and maybe adding a little bit to the content of your post without wanting to make a whole new post. With that said, in regards to what's been discussed about "Ash's Plan" and Cat stepping down like that, I'm still not entirely sure what the full implications of that was supposed to be. To see if the House Power was still in tact when Hadrian took over as House Lord? Because all it would take is a Skaa to NOT destroy a House Power like that, especially when they know people will be potentially using that as a check for skaa-house lords. There could of course be other things going on, but I don't see how Cat stepping down like that could have been automatic clearance for either her or Hadrian. And Mesist, I am really curious as to why you placed a second vote on Wandrin so quickly like that. Definitely calling out inactives is a good strategy right now, especially if we don't have other prime suspicions to work out at the moment, but shouldn't you at least give them a chance to speak up before you run the risk of a bandwagon vote? I do of course find Newan's continual absence suspicious, but I just don't see what the point of putting a second vote on them so soon will accomplish more than the initial vote was aiming for. Also, I am slightly unconvinced about your reasoning behind the Tonul vote you insisted on. Yes, Day 1, when they used emotional allomancy, it definitely wasn't helpful, especially after it was agreed that Emotional Allomancers shouldn't interfere. But honestly, it was Day One, and there was a three way tie. I obviously would not want my teammate running the risk of being randomly lynched like that, myself, if I were an emotional allomancer, and I would probably have tried something similar. While yes, it would be nice to get any possible information from the lynch if just the skaa were left to manipulate it, but I think losing an ally so soon (especially now that we know it was a Lesser House), does make a lot of sense. Of course this is all known information now, that we couldn't have acted on before the lynch, but you were quite adamant that Tonul "must have" been either a Skaa or playing strictly along "House Game" lines. While trying to defend a team mate does seem to go against the whole hunting the skaa mission, why couldn't Tonul have just possibly been not wanting to lose someone to talk/plan with so early on, for such a random chance? Especially after Day 2 when they were actually being helpful at that point. I'm not saying that this makes you automatically skaa, of course, but it does seem to me that you were rather devoted in going solely after Tonul for those couple of cycles, and not really as focused on other possible suspects at the time. Of course, you could have just made an error, as the lynch revealed, but I just wanted to mention my suspicions about the whole ordeal. For right now, I'm still not sure of who I'll actually place a vote for, though. It's probably down to either Ash or Asyr, though, if Ash is telling the truth in coming forward as a Coinshot. Because with Cadri, that means we have 3 so far, and 3 coinshots on a villager team seems quite unbalanced to me, so one of them has a really good chance at being skaa. Add that with both Asyr and Ash added votes in on Tonul to ensure the lynch (or a bandwagon) gives equal red flags on both of them, in my opinion. Edit: I am actually now placing a vote on Ash. They claim that they must be a coinshot because how else would they have known Raccine was hit on Day 2, when in fact it was Aonar who first mentioned that Raccine was hit, and then after a prompting question from Ash, Raccine came forward and admitted as much. While it is nice to know Raccine wasn't exactly lying about that (because I did have my doubts), I don't see how that automatically exonerates you from anything.
  10. Heh, looks like the whole lot of us took advantage of the inactive-night cycle trend. XD It really is starting to help the skaa just sit back and avoid any suspicion if we're not constantly putting pressure on them. I'm of course guilty of this right now, and real life stuff still always take precedence over this game, I'm sure all of us agree on. Of course, I still don't have much to add as of right now for anything new, but during the day cycle we should definitely start to take a closer look at those who are still reluctant to come forward and participate in open discussion. Also, I do want to give some caution as to what seems to be a trend of waiting for Information before any discussion starts to heavily happen, and while the Informant is definitely useful and will help catch lies and inconsistencies, I just am wary of reliance on it to find the skaa this game. Finding Raccine was a great Day 1 lynch, and I really hope we carry the momentum going forward. But if everyone is putting truths in, the skaa now know they can't really hide behind lies as well because it could leave them exposed like it did with Raccine, so I would bet that they are feeding truths into the pool now to help as a buffer for them, so if we get the same truths at the rate they're putting them in at this point, we won't be as lucky as starting to get straight GM Facts. I fear the skaa may be actually starting to look forward to all of the truths and implications that come out during the Day Turn as much as we are, just so they can learn that much more about people. Of course I'm not saying we shouldn't use the Informant, it's a tool that must be utilized for sure, but I just want to give caution against relying on it to find the skaa, we should still use the old-school tricks of open debate and discussion as well, including the Night Turn. I will try and follow through with this myself as best I can. Sorry again I don't have much to actually add right now suspicion or discussion wise, but I do have my eye on at least a few people. No reason to alert them just yet.
  11. Fien sniggered to himself as he watched Mesist rampage around at the backhanded insult given from the Inquisitor. Show's the fool for trying to suck up to the Steel Ministry, Fien laughed to himself, wondering whether he should ask Mesist what the Inquisitor's rear end had tasted like. He drained the glass of wine in his hand, and shaking his head to ignore the grizzly ending of the ball. Towards the end he had never really truly suspected Tonul's guilt, figuring them just another victim of the cutthroat atmosphere of Luthadel Politics. Fien went to take a step forward and lost his balance as the boat violently swayed and he staggered over to the edge of the barge, and when wildly flailing to grab ahold of the railing, he remembered what barge he was standing on..... the gallows barge didn't have any railings! With a cry Fien stumbled over the edge and fell into the river headfirst, the cold, ask-laden waters instantly soaking his clothes and weighing him, chilling him to the bone down as he thrashed about in panic, causing himself to become even more disoriented. Rough hands suddenly grabbed him and heaved him up to the surface of the water, and in the flickering glow of the bonfires from the barges above, Fien could see the smoldering anger behind Gamad's eyes as he swam towards the rope ladder that had been lowered down by the laughing nobles up above. Lord Ruler, I'm never going to live this one down, he thought with dread as he hefted himself back up onto the barge.
  12. Fien swayed ungracefully with the gentle rocking of the barge he was standing on, staring daggers at the back of Mesist's skull for the previous nights insult. After his immediate dismay at discovering the location of the the horse-breeder's "ball", he had ceremoniously he was going to get immensely wasted, even if he had to drink wine that tasted like the urine of the beasts Mesist peddled. Fien gulped down the last of his glass' contents and took a bewildered look around, as if just remember where he was. A barge, of all places! He cursed inwardly, why the only other person I know who has worse taste is--, he cut off his thought, with the sobering reminder that Lady Cadri had been found dead in his yards last night. He swayed on his feet again and looked out at the crowd that had reluctantly gathered for the evening, as if the threat of the gallows on the distance barge titled "Lord Heron's Hunting Grounds" wasn't a reminder enough, even if the Great Lord had been mysteriously absent the entire evening. He thought of all the jokes and japes he had wanted to toss at her, to try and humiliate the lesser noble into the proper shame that befit her station. He realized, startled, that he was going to miss mocking her. The easy sport of mocking her had been a favorite hobby of Fien's, and now without it, he was going to have to concentrate even more effort on Mesist. A sudden thought struck him as he looked around. "Say, has anybody seen Wandrin, what's his face, around lately?"
  13. Well, first off, @Kel, thanks for the tact of keeping the nature of the power used confidential for now. And the reason I did such was because it was Night 1, and it's better to do something than nothing, and I'll even admit that it was basically a random choice (die-roll), because night 1, what information does anybody have to solidly work off of? As for where the vote stands, I'm not sure where the vote stands, exactly, but it seems like it's been narrowed down to two people, Cat or Tonul. So until I can analyze the threads more and try and get caught up, I'm going to throw a vote on Newan right now. Just because he's been inactive, and I doubt the vote will matter much right now against him. Edit: Retracted vote from Newan. Didn't see somebody had already voted for him for inactivity. I'll place one on Sylinia Seeris (Theorymaker) for now instead. They've been silent ever since having whoever come forward as the coinshot.
  14. I'm sorry, I'm just not following this proposed plan, Ash. So we lynch Cat to see what, if she's skaa or not? Because it sounds like you don't even believe she's skaa. So then what, we lynch her and find out she isn't skaa? So your plan is to find out the last person in the house by having them revealed as the last House Lord? And then if Cat wasn't skaa, they must be, or something? While I get it the long run hope of that, what it would ultimately seem like it would do is end up destroying a house completely, or even not that, still would put the House Power in the hands of a skaa (assuming of course Cat isn't already one with the power). I just think at this point in the game we should probably start trying to run off of something more solid. Relying on the Informants and lynch results is perfectly fine, and will definitely help us track down the skaa in the end, but we should also not forget good old, Mafia-style game deduction. Look for people acting strangely or getting caught in lies or inconsistencies. Look at who's proposing what and who that ultimately benefits. Who are people defending, and why? Also, the timing of when people come forward with things is important to look at. Things like that. It's nice to try and hope grand plans like this will work out, but with a plan like yours, which is just basically hinging on the words, "trust you", just does not sound really inspiring right now.
  15. Fien lay still on the ground, breathing heavily and not wanting to move, lest he get covered in even more glass. He hesitantly looked up, waiting for another shower of coins to finish the job and after a few moments of waiting, he started to slowly get back to his feet, as shards of glass rained off him and fell to the ground, shattering even more. He looked around, slightly baffled, when he saw the holes in the wall where the coins had been embedded in the stone behind him. He stood there, bewildered, and grabbed the nearest jug of wine and started guzzling it, spilling half of the contents down his shirt in the process. A second later, his door burst open as Gamad came running in the room, deftly dodging a jug that Fien tossed at him in reaction. "My Lord!" The Terrisman panted, out of breath, his bald head sheening with sweat, and his normally neat steward robes dirtied and tattered. "Are you injured!" Gamad barked at him as Fien saw him noticeably grow in size, his stance ready to attack and his eyes quickly surveying the damage around the room with an unmistakable clarity. "I'm perfectly fine, no thanks to you." Fien said. "And where in the name of the Lord Ruler were you?" He barked at the steward, "Isn't protecting me what I pay you for!" Gamad opened his mouth to reply when he was cut off by two guards running into the room. "Lord Urbain!" They shouted, coming to a halt and snapping off a salute. "We have found an intruder lying dead inside the perimeter walls!" "What are you talking about?" Gamad interjected. "I killed the mistborn out on the walkways!" "Uh, Mistborn, sir?" The guard nervously replied, "We found..... aw, rust. You're just going to want to come look at this." --------------------------------------------------------------- Gamad observed the scene where the late Lady Cadri lay on the ground, her head caved in, presumably from hitting the wall, misjudging her height, perhaps, as she leaped about Master Fien's keep, as the vials of metal found on her person had indicated she was a coinshot. "Why in the name of the Lord Ruler would she attack me!?" Ranted Fien, enraged ever since he had been informed of who the corpse was. "I know we didn't get along, but I never thought she'd go this far, that cold-hearted --" "Fien!" Gamad exclaimed, cutting him off. "Look at this." He held out a small coin for Fien to examine, which the young lord took dubiously in his hand. "Yeah, so?" He asked, crossing his arms and looking a little put off that he had been interrupted. "It's not metal." Gamad sighed, explaining to the young fool how it was too light, and then he bounced the coin off the wall to illustrate the pinging sound and how it was all wrong for metal to sound like, and then Fien frowned, then looked at the body of Lady Cadri as she was being covered up with a black sheet. He listened on as Gamad went on into further detail about how there was no blood splatter on the wall where she had allegedly crashed headfirst into. "....So... you're saying?" Fien shook his head. "What are you saying?" Gamad sighed again, wishing the child would actually pay attention and think for once. "It was sabotage, young lord. She had been given fake coins so she could take an unfortunate fall at the right moment, and then when she lay on the ground, somebody came and bashed her head in." Fien looked like he was going to be sick. Just then, another skaa servant came rushing up, looking scared to approach the Great Lord directly. "Um, m-master Urbain?" The man nervously stuttered. "Something just arrived at the front gate.... y-you'll want to see this." "What in the Lord Ruler is it this time!" Fien exclaimed angrily into the air, waving his arms about and making the skaa cringe back. "Might as well rusting go and see what this is." ----------------------------------------------------- Fien stepped outside of his front gate, escorted on each side by a Hazekiller guard and Gamad leading behind him, ready to strike at whatever lay in wait for him. He caught a whiff of something foul, and he heard Gamad groan behind him. Laying in the middle of the street lay a saddle, and on the saddle was a flaming pile of horse dung. A servant walked up and handed Fien a small envelope with small, fancy writing on it. You are hereby cordially invited to attend my magnificent and glorious ball, you flaming pile of horse dung. I can't wait to see you there, and wearing yet another one of your ridiculous outfits. Sincerely, Mesist A'lees Fien crumpled the invitation in his hand and tossed it onto the flaming pile of manure. "Clear this mess up!" He barked, and turned around and strode furiously back into his Keep. He really could not stand that insufferable man! ------------------------------------------------------ Just wanted to get my "Part 2" RP in, since I didn't die. O.o I agree that we should definitely start some actual discussion rather soon, before too long passes in the Turn then everyone just rush-votes at the end. Do we continue to go after who we most suspected immediately before and after Raccine got lynched? Because with Finch's clarification and admitting about his mistake with the PM may have certainly helped show Cat was telling the truth about her information, the thing that I'm still confused about is why Raccine still tried to lie about messaging Finch? She couldn't have known he was that 'inexperienced' of a player, and all it would have taken was them speaking up sooner to bring that lie to a head. So I am still confused by the amount of time it took for a clarification about that PM to be mentioned, because I had seen Leftinch viewing the thread at least once or twice before then. I'm not saying they're automatically skaa, necessarily, I'm just still confused why Raccine would have tried such a brazen lie like that. (even though it apparently almost worked....)
  16. 1k Rep! O.o Wow.

  17. Gamad turned his head sharply towards the loud noise off in the distance, his hearing enhanced by the tinmind he was tapping into. Serving Master Fien had been an endless trial for his patience, but it did allow for ample opportunities to store his senses and other attributes into his metalminds. The less aware and attentive one was around the young fool, the better. He tapped a little bit more of his stored hearing, listening for any follow up sound when he heard the sudden crash of shattering glass. Gamad sighed and stopped tapping his tinmind. It was just Lord Fien in another one of his rages, upset that nobody had decided to come to his party afterall. He suppressed a smirk. He tapped bronze super quick to give him a jolt of wakefulness, feeling the wet, cool touch of the mists outside of Keep Urbain. Gamad was making another quick round of the grounds and seeing to make sure all was well in the night. Lord Ruler knew that Fien had made more than enough enemies in the courts of Luthadel with his brash and inane behaviour. The terrisman paused, tapping tin once more for hearing, straining to listen for any faint sounds. He knew that trying to use eyesight in the middle of the night would be useless, for it would only enhance the obscuring mists. He had never understood how Tineyes were able to peer through the mists at night when burning their metal. He shook his head and went to turn of his metal and turn around to head back and check on the guards at the front gates before retiring for the night when he heard a soft, muffled thump from somewhere behind him. He spun around, tapping large amounts of hearing and touch, for Gamad had learned long ago that moving around barefoot was the best for a properly trained Feruchemist. All Terrisman Keepers had a specialty, something that they specifically trained in and learned. Some studied history, or religions, or economics, or even great leaders. Gamad's specialty was Combat. With his burst of enhanced feeling from his tindmind, Gamad could feel the dense weight of the mists around him, the gentle tug of the light wind, that felt like a heavy hand pushing on his now sensitive skin. He could also feel the vibrations in the ground of a coin hitting, and the light thump of somebody landing a second later. Without hesitation, Gamad instantly tapped steel for a burst of speed, and ran towards the intruder in a blur, and then let go of his tinminds, started tapping iron and pewter at the last second to increase his weight and his strength, , punching the surprised assassin in the chest and knocking them backwards with the strength of the blow. With a blast of zinc, Gamad's mental speed increased as he observed the fallen assailant raise his hands up, and with a panic, Gamad stored a little bit of his weight with iron and leaped out of the way with a burst of steel for speed, as he felt and heard the whooshing ripple of coins that barely missed him. He landed in a somersault and sprung back up to his feet, immediately assaulting the coinshot once more as he zig-zagged towards the misting. With him still tapping zinc, Gamad had the mental clarity to survey the scene with a relaxed state of mind, and he saw the man's gesture as his gaze was still focused past him, and with a spin, Gamad spun out of the way as coins flew back past him, being pulled towards the assassin. So it was a full Mistborn, then. Gamad felt his steelmind starting to run low, so he knew he had to finish it soon, so with a sudden yell, catching the man off guard, Gamad burned up all the rest of his steel for a dizzying rush of speed, as within the time it took to blink he was already upon the man and raining a flurry of blows with practiced, martial art precision. The dazed mistborn grappled at Gamad, so the terrisman swept his arms out of the way and embraced the man in a bear hug as he tapped a massive amount of strength and physical weight and spun around, knocking the mistborn off balance with his hip and slamming the man to the ground with a suplex, as he hundreds and hundreds of pounds worth of stored weight, falling down upon the man with a crash and crushing him with a sick cracking sound. Gamad released most of the iron and got to his feet, and with a small jolt of strength, stomped his foot down on the mistborn's head, to make sure the mistborn wasn't still alive and burning pewter. Gamad stood there panting for breath for a few seconds, still burning zinc, when he had a sudden, horrible realization. He tapped his tin for hearing, only to hear muffled shouts and thumps off in the distance coming from Lord Fien's room. Lord Ruler! he cursed, trepidation rising up within him...... .......TO BE CONTINUED
  18. As Fien strode out of Lady Cadri's droll and depressing Keep, a brilliant idea struck him. He stopped and turned around instantly, flourishing his hands to flare out his coat, which was a useless gesture as he had forgotten that he had earlier taken it off whilst dancing, and called for everyone to hold up. "Listen, my fellow esteemed colleagues!" He proclaimed, and then after a pause added, "and Mesist and Lady Cadri. I hereby formally invite you to my Keep for an After-Party! There will be wine, music, and limelight-shows! As a Greater House Lord, I can guarantee even any hasty foray I can throw together will top whatever this uninspired mind calls a Ball." He gestured back towards the Lady Raisall who was standing on her dais watching her guests leave with glaring eyes, prompting her stewards to go and check wherever he had stood during the evening for wine stains. "Not to mention whatever stable Mister A'lees will end up scrounging up for us. No. I think we should continue our discussion and try and have a little fun. Spooks, I know we all would feel a little better with some company during the night to watch our backs." Fien shrugged. "Besides. What else do we have to do tomorrow besides wake up and go to another Ball? We should make the best out of the evening while we can! He then snapped his fingers, and from outside the Keep down where the carriages were arriving to bring the guests home, a small team of horses came forth from the mists, with instead of a carriage, was leading an wooden platform with railings on the sides, and music started to pour forth from the team of musicians standing on it that Fien had hired for the evening. "Let's get this party started!" He declared, conjuring a bottle of wine he had appropriated from Cadri's cellar he had found when rooting around the Keep earlier in the night. "Just don't share the bottle with Mesist. I don't want my wine to smell like horse."
  19. So even if we don't have a vote at the moment, thread discussion can still continue. So we can look at Raccine's lynch and see who it exactly implicates. Who did she hinge on for her information given? Who backed up her claims and defended her? Who tried to deflect votes onto other people? Raccine claimed she went to the Informant, but it looks like it was decided that couldn't have been possible from all of the different Information received. So if we assume that all of the information returned were GM Facts, (and assuming everybody correctly reported those Truths) Raccine was a Tineye (True), Raccine was a Skaa (True) Raccine targeted Finch Fain with her metal Night 1 (??) And then Raccine claimed that she didn't target anybody. So Finch's silence in this whole matter is still surprising. Either Raccine did target Fain, and Fain's silence is pretty damning, or, if Raccine didn't target Finch then Cat, the one that submitted that she got back Raccine's targeting of Fain was a lie. It can't be both. If somebody got information on Cat Night 1 about her House Info, that would be really helpful in figuring this out, if we can prove Cat actually submitted a truth or not So Finch, speaking up would be really helpful if you could speak up. Your silence has almost condemned you at this point, but any sort of defense would help.
  20. Eh, Aonar, I wouldn't exactly say that the 6 of us who voted for Raccine are cleared as being Nobles. We have very much so in past games had Eliminators jump onto the lynch of one of their own when they know they weren't worth saving anymore. Of course I'm not saying that that means some of us are indeed skaa, but just keep it an open possibility. Nor would I say your defense of Raccine necessarily makes you a skaa, automatically. It just doesn't look very good, is all.
  21. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT!!!! Fien jumped up into the air triumphantly and moon-walked out of the ballroom, exulting with glee. ------------------------------------- Gamad stood in the corner and silently facepalmed at yet another ridiculous antic performed by Fien. ----------------------------------- Whew! That was an awesome result (and write-up!). Now we can start looking back at who has all made what claims about Raccine and figuring out more from there! Great job, everybody!
  22. Huh. I know I saw Leftinch viewing the thread earlier, so they're definitely around and aware of everybody asking them to post and say something. I really don't know why they haven't spoke up yet.
  23. Uhh, and what happens if Cat doesn't get lynched? If you have damning evidence, I implore that you share it before it's too late. The fact is, you can potentially come up with any number of excuses as to why you voted for her, depending on how the lynch goes. If you have a hunch, that's fine, just say so. But if there's an actual reason to vote for somebody, then that should be explained with the vote.
  24. Huh, that is quite a web of lies surrounding Raccine, especially considering the three different claims of how her alleged Metal was used. (Not used, contacted Leftinch, contacted Aonar). But with the vote as it currently stands, tied at 2-2 between Raccine and Cat is NOT good! We're just leaving it to be decided by Emotional Allomancers again, people! ------------------------------------------------- Fien tore his coat off, having worked up a good sweat while dancing, revealing his brightly colored dress shirt underneath, another bright orange shirt, with dark purple embroidered lacing worked up and down the seams. At first, the seemingly clashing house colours of House Urbain -- orange and violet -- had displeased Fien, but after a while he had learned to grow and accept the colours as distinctly him. He winked to a slightly smiling Gamad who was still standing in the corner, eyes glossed over with boredom. He walked up to the band again and pulled out yet another sack of boxings, wondering how him and all these other Nobles could just keep reaching into their pockets and pull out endless bags of money. "looks like things are starting to die down around here. We almost have a reached a decision," he said, and then frowned after taking a brief look around, "Or an indecision, it's starting to look like again..." He shook his head. "Either way, when this is all over, we're going to need a Moment of Silence." Followed by a Moment of Violence, he finished the thought, grimly.
  25. Fien noticed the weird man, who was claiming to be his brother instead of his actual self, walk up to the band and try to explain to them some song to play, even though their instruments could not produce those kind of noises at all. And Cadri think's I'm a fool? He walked up to the band and pulled out a large bag full of boxings from his coat. "I will pay you double not to play that. I am a House Lord, and thus, can obviously afford such silly expenditures. Although I will triple it if you play this song instead, and dedicate it to Mesist." If anybody thinks any of this post is a bit too rude, just let me know and I'll remove it. I'm just trying to build a theme where Fien gets quite snarky when he drinks.
